This is a fun and quick brag book that is perfect for a loved one or to make as a thank you for a hostess or a friend. This is not an original idea, not sure where I learned this, but I think I made it about five years ago for the first time. I loved making them then and this month one of my hostesses asked if we could make these at her workshop (thanks Kristy!) What fun!
So, this is what we came up with. The basic dimensions for my book are:
the back page - 5 x 8 scored at 1 (that's the Soft Suede showing on the left side)
the front page - 5 x 7 scored at 1 (so it folds open easily on the seam)
clear envelopes
I used the Scallop Circle for the Big Shot for the flap and the Clear Circle for the Big Shot for the layer on the scallop
the decor on the front is a 4 x 3 Night of Navy and 2 3/4 x 3 3/4 Whisper White

I LOVE the Stampin' Up! vinyl. Not only is it EASY to use and looks great, but it matches the stamps which just is the icing on the cake! The only let down to vinyl is how quickly you're finished a project! It's one of those moments sometimes you want to take a while and you're done in seconds thinking, hmmmmm, did I just do something? Anyhow, that's really not a complaint just an observation.
This frame uses the Cast-a-spell DSP, the Halloween rub ons and the Spooky Brocade Small vinyl (in black). A few dimensionals, a few brads and you have yourself a finished 8 x 10 project to put in any frame you have!
I actually cut the bat out of the vinyl and adhered it to Perfect Plum cardstock. Then I cut around it and mounted it on Old Olive Cardstock. Then this is put in the middle of the vinyl using Dimensionals. So, like rub ons, you can use bits and pieces of the vinyl in different ways! The greeting is a rub on and is done on Old Olive cardstock, punched with the Wide Oval, sponged and popped up. The swirls coming out the sides are rub ons.
I distressed the edges of the Basic Black cardstock and the green DSP with my fingernails (although the distressing tool would have worked great!) Then I used three little brads from the SU Vintage brad package. Hope you like the creation! Have a great day and enjoy the video:

This page is going up in the frame in my craft room. It's a favourite picture of mine of Emma's second Halloween. This was about the happiest she was all night! (not so fun for her....but doesn't she look sweet!?!?!)
The colours are Real Red, Summer Sun and Pacific Point.

If you see it on my blog missing these features, know that I will put them on the page before I put them in my album. I just don't always have it on my blog as my message or title may be private for my family to read. (Although the kids are going to punch the title for this as an ornament...that's why nothing is there yet)

This is one of the pages we will be making in my scrapbook club this month. We are doing 4 double page Christmas pages....great way to get the holiday scrapping done! I'm excited! I do still have a couple of spots left in this club if you're interested.
I know this paper is retired, BUT I assumed that SU wouldn't release a new Christmas paper in this catalogue so I stocked up for this class. I've decided I love to scrapbook in January! The photos are fun, since they are from the holidays and I can sit in my craft room, look out at the snow and be warm! It's LOVELY!
So I am finally done all my pages from Christmas with my mom. Now I just need to do pages from Adam's family, just us and a few favourites from during the holidays (wow, that's a lot of work ahead!)
BUT my new scrapbooking club starts this coming Tuesday and we will be doing 4 double page Christmas layouts SO I'll be able to get lots of my pages done. My scrapbooking club can be done from a distance or at my house. I will create a PDF with photos for all the pages and instructions and also some videos so you are able to duplicate the pages at home with ease. This is a six month club and we will make 4 double page layouts per month. Three months we will be using a Simply Scrappin' Kit and the other three months I will create a kit. The cost of this club is $30 and I have three spots left if you are interested in joining.
Onto today's page. Emma was SO excited to get an iPod from Gramma and Grampa for Christmas. I'm not sure she has taken it off since!!! This page was done using scraps of DSP I have and have to use up before my new stuff comes in! Hope you like it! Have a great day!
Oh, I was asked where I get my inspiration for scrapbooking. This varies. Sometimes I look in Scarpbooking magazine, the SU catalogue and other times it just comes to me. I'll try and let you know where the inspiration comes from as I do a page. Thanks!

What does Mark do with the bungee cords? Well, he plays for hours under the kitchen table attaching all the chairs together and then "trapping" his stuffed animals....strange but fun!
What have been my top 5 stamp sets ever? This was a tough one.....Sweet Treats, Season of Friendship, Ruff Day, Cold Play AND Booglie Eyes (I think....this was tough!)

Let me fill you in on a little secret, sometimes I'm a bit obsessive. You say you like scrapbooking videos...you'll be getting scrapbooking videos!!!! I love it! I also love that one of my wonderful readers posed a challenge to me today about the bear from Under the Stars and I am "SO" going to figure it out AND do a video!!!! I know, I know, but this is what I thrive on!

This scrapbook page was done for Mark's Christmas with my mom. If you click on the page you can see the details up close. Check out the look on Mark's face! He just about lost his mind over bungee cords....oh to be a kid again!!!! Love it!!!! (wait a minute, I feel this way everytime the brown truck shows up at my house!!!!) I am trying to use up some of my scrap DSP paper before I "have" to buy more of the new stuff.....anyone else ever feel this way? Hope you like the page and have a great day!

This page was from this Christmas. For Christmas with my mom, I have decided to do a page (or a double page) on each person rather than a mix. So I've got a page done for Bill, Mark, my mom and Nathan so far! I thougth it would be a neat reflection on each person to showcase everyone on a different page.

Thank you so much for following along and doing the 12Days of Christmas scrapbook with punches. I've had a lot of fun and have a great finished product I'll be proud to pull out every year for display. It fits perfectly on my fireplace which I'm quite excited about!
Here is Day 12 - 12 drummers drumming. I wanted to include a picture of the 5 of us in the book so although it isn't an activity we did I thought it'd be fun to include.
For the assembly of the book, I made it into an accordian. It would be fun to put in a brag book album but I want it on display for people to see so I made it into an accordian book. The video shows you really quickly how to do this.
