Hostess Gift

Emma and I were invited out to a "girls" dinner and I didn't want to go empty handed.  It was a Mexican themed dinner party (details will be on our travel blog if you're interested:) but I didn't have any Mexican stamps.  SO, instead I used the ADORABLE new hostess set from the NEW catalogue and made five little cards and put it into a little crochet basket.  

I used watercolour paper and markers to colour in the little birds and then cut them out. The colour combinations I used were:

• So Saffron with Hello Honey
• Crisp Canteloupe with Calypso Coral
• Pool Party with Coastal Cabana
• Pistachio Pudding with Gumball Green

I love the tone on tone with the banner.  I used the little banner punch and the matching colour cardstock with the new little punch set... cute, eh?

I was going to sew on the front of the card, but decided to just wrap the YUMMY new baker's twine around the card front.  Thanks for stopping by today!

You're So Awesome

Grrr!  I didn't realize last weekend when I preprogrammed my posts that there were MORE issues with Typepad and none of my posts for the week saved.... sorry about that one!  So, here goes....take two:)

Back in Canada, our school year wraps up at the end of the month.  I wanted to let my munchkins know that I was thinking of them and that I was proud of the year that they had.  So, very unlike me, I made two sets of 12 cards.... that is very painful for me:)  I don't like mass producing cards but am glad I did for these little gems.

I used the sweet paper pack in the mini catalogue (that is still live here in Australia, but retired in NA).  The dogs are stamped in Baked Brown Sugar, and the greeting in Real Red and Pool Partry.  Pretty simple card, but hopefully one that the kids will enjoy!

MDSChallenge

Happy Monday! I hope you had a great weekend! We had a WONDERFUL long weekend and amazing company to go with it! I LOVE weekends like this!!!! Anyhow, you didn't come to hear me babble on about my weekend, you want some crafting:) Here goes....
This week's challenge is TWO for one:) What do you think about that???
Challenge number one:
Use only ONE stamp set to create a page! Yup, you read that right, ONE stamp set and NOTHING else! Can you do it? Mine for this page is Everyday Adventure. OK, I did use a staple, and you can too...but that's it!!!!
Challenge number two:
Crop one of your stamps using the CROP SHAPE option (see photo below for details if you're not sure.) I used the background stamp with arrows, and then selected CROP SHAPE and used an ARROW PUNCH to create a stamped image in an arrow shape. Try it! It's super fun! Can't wait to see your creations!!!!

Love the tie!

I think the tie has to be my FAVOURITE stamp and framelit in this set.  It's SO STINKIN' CUTE!  A good friend is having a sweet little boy so I made a series of thank you cards for her.  

I created these in my favourite colour combination of Coastal Cabana and Real Red with some Crumb Cake and Whisper White.  I'm shockingly not getting sick of this colour combination yet!

South Pacific Convention Project

I am so super proud of myself....I actually made my make and take projects at Convention a few weeks back!  Are you as surprised as I am?  I think this may be the first event that I actually made ALL the projects!  Can you believe it!?!?!

I LOVED this first card!  There are a few things I really liked about this card:

1. use an embossing folder to create the fun background.  Ink up the embossing folder and then stamp it on your card front... DUH!  I've heard of running it through your big shot, but just stamping.... GENIOUS!
2. love all the little elements.  I love the twine, clip, vellum and bling.  Cute, eh?
3. the colour combination - check out the new colours!
4. and last but not least, we were challenged to SHARE these cards.... so I actually mailed them!  Loved it!

Thanks Mom!

It's been pretty crazy around here and I'm really not sure why!  We had a sports carnival on Wednesday and Thursday Cole and I stayed home (he was COVERED in bumps and itchy, but turns out I think it was just hives...thank goodness!) and we had a baking day.  We've got company coming this weekend and I hate to spend time in the kitchen when I can be socializing, so instead I make as much as I can ahead of time....so that's what we did Thursday and I'm sure I will be tomorrow too:)  Anyhow....enough of my babbling!  Thanks for stopping by today!

Mark LOVED this card from my mom.  It's his iCard (his words!)  Cute, eh!  The supplies on this card are pretty straight forward, Whisper White and Basic Black.  The framelits are stinkin cute with this card and the greetings!  Love it, thank you Mom!
