MDS CLUB!!!! WHOOO HOOOO!!!!

Before we start with today's challenge let me just say I am SUPER DUPER excited to announce the beginning of our MDS club!  Kimberly and I are SO EXCITED!!!  We have been planning this for a long time but life has happened to the both of us and we are now finally ready and can't wait!

 My Digital Studio Adventure Club Facts:

• Club commitment is for 6 months
• Cost to join the club is an ONLINE ORDER of $30 7 days prior to the first of the month once registered using an assigned hostess code.  
• As a hostess you will receive $25 in FREE product ONCE during the 6 months.
• Instructions & Videos will be released on the 1st of each month. To receive the Instructions & Video you must be registered and place your Online Order 7 days prior to the first of each month.

OK....onto today's MDS challenge....Using stamps!  I tend to rely heavily on already created embellishments (meaning SU did all the work for me!)  BUT this week we're challenging you to use your stamps to create beautiful additions to your projects.  I chose to use the coffee cup from the Perfect Blend set  and then used two fun techniques to "colour" in my stamp.  The first was to edit a punch for behind the coffee cup and the "cozie" on the cup.  CLICK HERE to see how to edit a punch.

 

The other "trick" I used to spice up this creation was to drop a "thick" shadow under the lid and the "cozie" using the freeform tool.  I matched the colour to the darker shade of Crumb Cake on the DSP (from Downtown Grunge) and then hand drew the shadow under the lid.... cute, eh?  

 

I'm a HUGE fan of this stamp set and am thrilled with the final look of this creation!  And as you can see, it's versatile and can be used for lots of fun cards!  The first sample is a punch card idea that can be printed onto a business card size.  Cute, eh?  The second is a birthday card for some of my coffee loving friends. Can't wait to make more....and tags...and so much more!
