Happy Monday to you! Hope y'all had a fantastic weekend! I have to say I spent the ENTIRE day (or so it seemed) in the kitchen yesterday, but I loved it! Three batches of soup, homemade bread, meals for the week and lunches prepped! Fun times! I loved that Nathan and Cole were helping me out as well:) It was a stay at home wonderful day! And today, back to work we go:)
BUT to start off your week and your MDS challenge Kimberly and I decided to go hybrid on you! I LOVE to make projects for my kids at school, but I'll be honest, time doesn't always permit for 25 sweet projects in my time schedule. SO, I've been using my Cameo SIlhouette a LOT lately to help me create and share! I LOVE how these little gems turned out:) Rather than giving treats on their birthday (and more sugar than they already will get) we decided to give them some bugs and kisses:)
To create the jar, I used the Perfectly Preserved jar and cut it out of Crumb Cake. I then traced around the outside edge with the Stampin' Write marker to just define the jar. It's rough but cute:) I attached the jar to the naturals White cardstock and then the bug is fixed on using Sticky Strip. I put the paper the clear envelopes we carry at Stampin' Up!. I love them because they have the seal already ready to go for my project and then I just stapled on the header which of course was made in My Digital Studio. I think the little bit of twine adds to the final project! I'm thrilled with them and can't wait to share them with our birthday friends....our first one is next week so I'll let you know if they liked them!
Don't forget to stop on over to Kimberly's blog to check out her awesome hybrid sample as well as our Facebook Group ....where there are lots of samples and even more fun. Have yourself a great day!
Thank you for stopping by!
Hugs,
Heather
Check out my video today on how upload my SVG files into the Silhouette program and just how easy it is to tell the machine to cut:) I love how easy and quick the process is!!!! I'm so glad I invested in this machine!
Hi Heather,
This card is sooooo cute!!! I'm sure that all the kids loved their bugs in a jar!!!
I love, love, LOVE my Silhouette that Santa (a/k/a my sweet hubby) brought me for Christmas! This is a great video. I need to watch more of your videos as I know very little about MDS. Also, I haven't learned how to "print & cut" with my Silhouette yet, but that's the next thing on my "To Learn" list.
Peace, Love and Joy,
Joyce
