Artisan Blog Hop - Chalkboard Style

Happy Wednesday to you!  Hope you are having an amazing week!  It's a spring break around here so life is GOOD!!!  Happy, happy, happy! If you are joining me from Erica's blog, welcome and thank you!  If not, make sure you do the hop so you are sure to check out her amazing creations!!!!

 

I'm sure you're seeing it everywhere (Pinterest, internet, advertisements...everywhere!) that the chalkboard images are HOT!  To go along with this look, I created an embossed background using the sweet Make a Wish stamp set from the Spring catalogue.  I just randomly stamped the images in Versamark and then used the White embossing powder to make it pop!  I did the embossing BEFORE I did the chalkboard technique as embossing powder likes to stick to craft ink.  It's a little hard to see in the photo but I embossed the "let's celebrate" stamp in Pool Party to make it pop a little more.

The sweet little banner ensemble at the top of the card was inspired by my friend Jenny and her amazing swap card at Leadership (thanks Jenny!)
