Rain or shine! Around here it should say flurries or shine lately:) I actually am a big fan of snow and cold weather, I much prefer that over hot and sunny:) BUT I do know I'm a minority in tha one:)
ANYHOW, onto today's card. It is a clean, quick and simple one for you. I saw this layout on Pinterest and had to case this one - the original post I think links back to Lee Conrey:) Enjoy!
A few tricks to this simple card - cut the coloured strip (I used Riding Hood Red) and emboss it first, THEN use your 2 1/2 inch circle punch to cut out the frame.
The umbrella and handle, and greeting, are stamped in Basic Gray and then I accented the card in So Saffron. I'm happy with this little gem....hope you are too:)
Here are the supplies for this card:
- Riding Hood Red Cardstock - 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scored at 4 1/4, 4 x 2 1/8 (embossed and punched)
- Whisper White - 5 1/4 x 4 with one corner rounded
- Inks - Basic Gray
- Stamps - Rain or Shine
- Other - Itty Bitty Punches with So Saffron, So Saffron Ribbon, Basic Rhinestones, Chevron Embossing Folder
Well, I hope you enjoy your day! Fun, but busy one around here.....can't wait for tomorrow's fundraiser!
Have a great day!
Heather

This card has such great composition. I especially like the circle punched area and how the shape of the umbrella accents the circle. Great use of negative space; thanks for the inspiration.
