Thanks for stopping by from the ever talented Erica's blog!
You already know how much I LOVE LOVE LOVE these little gems! Swatchbooks are so much fun and make for an incredible gift, at an inexpensive rate! This project is a little different than just a book but I thought it would be a fun way to create a perpetual calendar for inside my craft room. I really want to get better at sending cards, I'm horrible at it!!! (just ask my family!) SO, I created this little calendar to help me out...but of course you have to make it look pretty too, right?
I found this frame at a local store for the cheap, and I spray painted it white. I wrapped the backing of the frame with burlap and then hung the calendar on twine. And from there, I just embellished like crazy!
The colour scheme of this was of course inspired by none other than my favourite Spice Cake fabric! It's Pool Party, Soft Suede and More Mustard!
I truly used a little of this and a little of that all over this frame! I hope you like it! If you have any questions, just ask! In the meantime, wish me luck in actually getting my cards created on time to the right people!!!
Take care,
Heather
Check out Heidi's wonderful creation!
This is stunning Heather! I love all of the little details, like the "aunt" and "uncle" and family names. But, what really makes it special is all of the little pictures all around it. This is wonderful.

Heather, this is amazing! I have been wanting to make one of these, even designed something in MDS, but just came across the Book of Birthdays Swatchbook download so I think I'll use that. But I LOVE how you added pictures. I would love to see more photos of this, perhaps some close ups so get a great look at your calendar. Thank you so much for sharing!
