is never too late to say "I love you" to those around you! I think I'd like to start making Valentine's happen monthly around my house. I won't call it that, but there's nothing wrong with doing a "nice night" intentionally each month, is there?? We shall see! We had a great family Valentine's night. The kids helped me make a delicious dessert for Adam.....pretzel crust peanut butter brownies...the sweet and the savoury! YUMMY!!!! Then we had make your own heart pizzas for dinner (I cooked WAY too much bacon for my family...they LOVE bacon!!!) After dinner we just hung out and had fun!
ANYHOW, you didn't come to hear about our night, you want to see a craft or two:) Mark's class is known as the 5/6 Hive and his teacher loves bees. SO, when I go in and do crafts with his class, I love to use their theme:) I saw a cute punched bee idea on Pinterest (shocker) and modified it using all SU supplies! Here is what I used:
- base of box - two tags die in So Saffron
- So Saffron - 1 x 3 inch piece of paper on the front and back to "create a box"
- Face - biggest oval punch and 1 3/4 inch circle in So Saffron
- Eyes - black and white punched out using the bird's wing from the bird punch
- Nose - 3/4 inch circle in Real Red
All of the bee is sponged with More Mustard ink and the details were just drawn on using the Basic Black marker....cute eh? I love how Mark took off the nose and added "bushy eyebrows" (not sure why:) BUT it's great doing crafts with the class as they all make them their own!
Update on the donut box from yesterday...Mark won the award for the most creative package:) He was pretty happy! Well, I hope you have a great day! So excited for my birthday class today and tonight!
Hugs!
Heather
