Day 5 already! We are half way there! Sandi emailed to ask me what my favourite project was that I submitted. That is a really tough question. I have favourites for different reasons, but I think three of my cards and my one 3D project were my favourites. This card is one of them (and the two cards you'll be seeing in days to come:)
This card was a fun one to create and I was fortunate that it just "came to me" late one night and I was able to go from thinking about it to making it in about an hour. Most of my other cards I drew sketches for or laid out my products and seemed to think about them for a long time, but this one just happened.
I used the dress form from the Sew Suite stamp set directly on the card stock. I then stamped it on my brayer and rolled the brayer on some Vanilla card stock. This created the reverse image and I cut out the top of the dress form and attached it to the card front. Each dress I embellished differently (necklace, patterned shirt and flower). I also used the pom pom trim on the daffodil skirt. I actually sewed this on(and wanted to curse while doing it:)
There are a few features on this card I love. The first is the sewing from the sewing machine...I love the way they framed the images. The second is the "sew sweet" greeting. I had a personalized stamp made by SU for a card we did in club earlier that month and I decided to use it on this card as well. The last thing is the spool of thread behind the greeting. I like how I sponged the layer and included a "real" needle on the card. I hope you like it too!
Thank you so much for stopping by today! Don't forget to continue venturing through the Artisan loop:) Have a great rest of your weekend!
Take care,
Heather

I love this card SO much! It was the first project I noticed on your board. It's weird that I don't remember a lot of the projects, even though I took pictures, but I remember this one! ADORABLE!

This is such a great card!! It is beautiful and so well put together!! Love the whole look! I think that I will get a stamp with this on as well - never thought of it! - When my son was married I had a number of shower verses made, which made making the cards easier, but never thought of "sew" - love it!
