I owe you guys a HUGE thank you! I appreciate the feedback and comments and REALLY appreciate the ideas and suggestions. Thank you! I have added a search option on the side left toolbar in case you want to search my blog. I’m actually quite excited about this as if you’re looking for a punch or a certain stamp set, type it in and VOILA! It’s a great little tool, thanks Chriss for the suggestion.
One other request was “manly” cards. So I started creating my project for my Simply Stamping class today (a manly card as well) and loved it so continued on to make this card! I have to say I’m super excited about it!
Do you see it? Can you see that the foam of the beer is really the cupcake icing from the thank you cupcake stamp???? How fun is that!?!? I’m so very excited! Anyhow, I’m also excited about the glass (looks way better in person. I sponged the top of the card with Whisper White to look like the foam bubbles and then the bottom of the cup is sponged in More Mustard to offer depth and shadows. I used a Transparent envelope and cut it to fit the card front (and use the seam that already exists) to make it look like glass! I hope you like my first attempt here at some man cards!
Here is the recipe:
- Transparent Envelope
- More Mustard - 6 x 4 1/4 scored at 3
- Very Vanilla
- More Mustard Marker
- More Mustard Ink and Sponge
- Whisper White Ink and Sponge
- Label, 1 inch punch, 1 1/4 inch circle punch
- Earth Elements Brads
- Paper Piercer
- Big Cupcake Stamp (the birthday thank you....forget the name of it:)
- Cheers to You Stamp Set
- Crystal Effects
Thank you so much for stopping by! Thanks also to those that have placed clearance rack orders! I think you bought out all the Maine Blueberry DSP as it is now sold out! Oh well, wasn’t meant to be.
Have a great night!

Heather,
I LOVE this card! I found it on Stampin' Connection and I was so excited when I found it on your blog and found your video! I'm so excited!
Just one question - when you sponged the edges of the glass and the Whisper White at the top to look like foam, did you do that on the card stock or on the clear envelope?
Thank you for this WONDERFUL card idea!!!!!

Wonderfully creative card! It is always great when there are multiple uses for stamps and justifies buying more. This would also be a good stamp to use as cola on a card or page for teens or as Irish coffee for adults.

Great job on this card Heather! The frosty look of the mug made me thirsty....and I don't even like beer!

Wow Heather, you must be the Fairy Godmother of Cardmaking...ask it shall be granted. lol.
I love this card, especially the crystal effects for the icing up of the glass. I don't have the Cupcake Stamp, but I am sure that I can improvise, after all it almost looks like a big fluffy cloud. Great job. Kuddo's to you. Like I have said before...Cardmaker of the Year!
