Happy Wednesday to you! How is your March Break going? We had a great trip to Port Huron yesterday just for fun (actually for my coffee....) I know! Adam loves a little Day Trip and coffee was just the perk:)
Today's embellishment is the Pretties Kit. Now I know the title is Pretty, but sometimes I like Whimsical or Fun. The pieces in this kit really are beautiful and can help to make a beautiful card, however, I wanted to show the "fun" side of the kit. This fabric flower is very multipurpose. You can ink it, sponge it, dye it OR stamp on it! I literally just stamped on it! I used the Boho Backgrounds stamp set and Pumpkin Pie ink and just stamped on the flower.
Here is the recipe for today's card:
- Apricot Appeal - 3 x 6 scored at 3, 1 inch circle
- Pumpkin Pie - 2 3/4 x 2 3/4, 3/4 inch circle
- Fire Brad
- Pretties Kit
- Boho Backgrounds Stamp Set and Pumpkin Pie Ink
Here is the video for today's card:
AND, yes, I have a scrapbook page for you as well!!! I LOVE MDS! Have I told you that before? This is my nephew and Nathan outside playing in the snow about a month ago. I had fun making the DSP in the back for this page. I stamped the snowflakes in Old Olive, Whisper White and Not Quiet Navy in the background. To get the perfectly lined up snowflakes, I stamped three, then I selected these (by holding down the shift key) and copied them. I was then able to get the 6 snowflakes in a row. I did this trick again with the 6 snowflakes and then I had a full row. Then I selected and cut the full row and pasted it, shifted it over and repeated this on the page. It is a bit of a time consuming process but a lot of fun and love the final look. I'm happy with the circle embellishments and the colour palette. Hope you like it!
Have a wonderful day!
Take care,
Heather
Stamping on the flower is a great look, and I love the little card that you made out of it.
This is a really cute Page made in MDS. I love the way you did the snowflakes. Thanks for sharing the technique. I also like the added circles with just a phrase. It is really cool to frame a main photo with smaller photo's. Great layout.

I would never have thought to stamp these flowers. It looks great.
Can I ask- what do you use for envelopes for these small cards?
