Thank you so much for the overwhelming response to my online MDS class! I am excited to say I will be picking a random winner from the comments left on this post to get the class for free. If you have already registered for this class, I will refund your money. Please leave me a comment with either just a friendly greeting or an MDS question. I will select a winner on Friday for the MDS class that begins on Monday!
Another way to get this class for free is by becoming a Stampin' Up! demonstrator on my Simply Stars Team. My downline receives all my online classes as a thank you.
Today's project is one of them from my Mystery Night class last night. How cute is this milk carton!?! Well guess what, it's a die in the current mini catalogue! Is it not just the sweetest?!?! It's a small little container which is perfect if you want to give someone just a little treat. The front rectangle is about 1 3/4 x 2 inches. Don't you love it!?!? Sorry I'll stop being so excited. Here is the recipe for this little treat container:
I hope you like this project as much as I do! You'll be seeing more of this little package! If you haven't checked out the mini catalogue or the new Sale-a-bration catalogue it's worth checking out!
- Kraft - 5 x 7 for the container to run through the Big Shot
- DSP Sweet Pea - 1 1/2 x 7
- Soft Suede - 1 3/4 inch circle
- Apricot Appeal - 1 3/8 circle
- Whisper White - 1 1/4 inch circle and the Tiny Tag punch (new in the mini catalogue!)
- Linen Thread
- Library Clip
- Stamp Set - Good Neighbour (FREE Sale-a-bration stamp set!) and Tiny Tags (mini catalogue)
- Inks - Bashful Blue, Soft Suede, Old Olive, Apricot Appeal
- Paper Piercer
Take care,
Heather

Hi Heather! I'd love to win this class. I'm not good with technology at all and you make it look so easy. I would love to be able to throw together layouts as effortlessly as you seem to!
I'm looking forward to getting up to date with my scrapbooking... I've got about 4 years of my daughter's 5 years to catch up on!

Heather,
I'm so excited for you to start your MDS online class! I got MDS for Christmas and then my DH got me a new laptop. I just installed MDS last night and I'm so excited I can hardly stand it. I'm looking forward to your class so I can learn how to use this program. I really need to catch up on my scrapbooking since I'm slipped over the years. Thanks so much for sharing your talent with all of us. :)

You may have just made up my mind on ordering the MDS, not sure if the bank agrees, yet. Your classes are great...when would the deadline be for joining this MDS class?

Hi Heather I have taken other classes beofre and loved them. I have not purchased the MDS yet can I take the class even thought I do not hae the program yet? I hope I am lucky to win a Free pass.

So, where do you get all your energy? Checking your blog is part of my daily routine in the morning. Your inspiring ideas with cards and MDS give me that added boost to get creative. Unfortunately, I usually have to bottle the creativity for a later time and use the energy to get to work on awful deadlines--but I love the busy-ness. Your little guy is absolutely precious--who could not love a little snuggle time with mom, regardless of age.

Cute little carton! Looking forward to learning about MDS from you.. you make it look so easy :)) I am far from mastering it yet!
Posted by: Lisa | January 06, 2010 at 05:58 PM
Love your pages. it would be great to learn all the trick.
Posted by: Elaine | January 06, 2010 at 04:35 PM
I LOVE all your classes and cannot wait for this one. I need some serious MDS training. I've only done one page so far- and I have questions on simple layers and borders. I like simple pages but with a "WOW" factor too.
Another question is- what kind of camera do you use?! Your photos of the kiddos are always fantastic! (I didn't expect anything less than fantastic from you!!)
Looking forward to MDS! :)

I am amazed at how much you get done with a precious NEW BABY! Would love to win the class. Might have to sign up even if I don't (but the new year started a new budget.) :)

Hi Heather,
Another beautiful MDS page, sometimes the simple pages are the most beautiful. What font did you use for your text?
Thanks again for sharing,

Hi Heather -- Love all your projects and love seeing your scrapbook pages and family even though I don't scrapbook yet. I like how you are doing scrapbook pages working your way through the year - that seems a logical and easier way to do pages to me. Have already signed up the the MDS class. Am looking forward to it as I've only played with it so far about 30 minutes -- without having read any directions. I mostly do cards, so I've got to figure out how to print the card on the page (so that hopefully can print two at a time) - I'll go read the directions and try to figure it out myself - but if I don't get it figured out, I may be asking!

what a beautiful page. I am really considering the MDS based on your videos. I have a 2 year old that shares a name with your toddler...Nathan. With a new digital SLR and a wonderful subject this would be my last step into jumping into the digital pool. thanks for all your videos and inspiration. love your punch classes!

You've made such nice pages with MDS, I'd love this class to figure out how to do it all.

Cole is absolutely adorable!! Oh yeah, so is the milk carton! TFS a little piece of your world with us!
Posted by: LeAnne S. | January 06, 2010 at 10:44 AM
What a fantastic page you have made here. Cole's eye's are so big and bright and look even bigger against your dark sweater. Is that Font part of MDS or do we have to purchase it separately? I just love that Font. There have been some Add Ons to MDS, do we need to purchase them for your classes? I would like to know ahead of time so that I can be ready. Thanks in advance.

Hi Heather, first you little man is filling out nicely :) I remember the snuggle times and No there is nothing better than those precious times.
Your milk carton is adorable, all your projects are.
I am considering swithing over to the MDS because I rarely scrap any more in paper. I make tons of cards still, but the digital pictures never quite seem to get printed. I'd love to do the class.

I have already signed up for the class as I can not wait to learn more things about MDS. Can you show us how to size down a page to the size of a business card now that we are able to print our own??
Posted by: Lisa D | January 06, 2010 at 09:22 AM
I love your MDS pages - how do you manage to get so much done with a newborn?? :-) I also have MDS but haven't even installed it yet. I would love to learn the basics - I want to make a scrapbook of my dad this year and this would be a great way to do it!
Posted by: Karen | January 06, 2010 at 09:00 AM
Little Cole is growing and changing so much!! He is sooo cute - thanks for giving us an update! Love how you have put the page together.
I have ordered the milk carton - now I can't wait for it to get here! It will be great for a serving of the hot chocolate mix - to give to someone special - so many uses - love the box dies - so easy

Hi Heather....I have the MDS but haven't even installed it. I'm almost afraid that once I do I will be on the computer way too much. My question is about calendars. Have you made any? Are there good options?
Hopefully I win your class and can find out all your tricks. Thanks for offering the chance to win.
Posted by: Darlean Fitzgerald | January 06, 2010 at 08:30 AM
I purchased MDS quite sometime ago and have not used it because I am totally lost. As of right now I feel like that was the worst investment I have ever made. I would love to change that opinion wth some help. I'm interested in your class. Will you be starting with the BASICS like explaining the menu bars on top, left and right? I saw the tutorial with Mark Jensen of SU it was way over my head, so I need MDS tutorial for dummies.
So I'm hoping this class will ease my fears and put my investment to use.

Hey Heather, love the milk carton... wish i could have went to your mystery night last night!! I can't wait to get my milk carton die!!
