I was looking through a magazine the other night and saw an ad for a shoe (or maybe purse) company and I really liked the layout. Basically it was a bulletin board with the push pins in it and a photo of different products. I thought this clean and simply layout would make for a fun card front!
I used my 1 1/4 inch SU square punch to make the pattern on the front of the card. I used More Mustard, Dusty Durango and Bashful Blue! I wasn't sure of the colour combination at first but I LOVE it!!! Each of the squares and the Kraft cardstock are all sponged in Soft Suede. You'll notice I have a piece of 4 1/8 x 5 3/8 Kraft cardstock layered on the Kraft card. I did this so I could secure the brads through the squares and the back layer and not worry about the brad backs poking up.
I used the stamp set Autumn Harvest (which I just got and LOVE...why didn't I get this sooner?) Anyhow, the image is stamped in Basic Brown on watercolour paper and then I watercoloured in each leaf with More Mustard, Dusty Durango and Soft Suede.
The brads used are Bashful Blue and More Mustard. The greeting is from Teeny Tiny Wishes (LOVE this set...it has EVERY greeting!!!). And last but not least, the polka dotted ribbon is Dusty Durango!
Have a wonderful day!
Love the technique on this card & the color combination! Another awesome job! The weather feels like fall here in the suburbs of the Windy City (Chicago). We've had an unusually mild summer, but I'm not complaining. :)
Stampin' Smiles from Ear to Ear,
Ann :)

For some reason, layouts like this one (orderly blocks of color) really appeal to me! This one is even more appealing because of the brads! It would have been great with the squares, as I have done several like that, but the brads MAKE IT POP!!! Thank you for the idea! Thanks for all you do.

I love the card, and the color combo. I think these new colors are making some great color combos. I am finding myself trying colors I'm not sure about alot lately, and some of them look good :0) Have a great weekend.
