I don't have too many words to share today as I think the pictures are fairly self explanatory! We saw this idea at regionals and it's a good one!!!
Okay, I'll type some information.....This card has very little stamping (only the polka dots) Get your punches out and get ready to have some fun. Today's tutorial is on making a circle that you can use as a background for your scallop punch by using the tab punch! This is a 3x3 card and would be perfect for a little gift card or something.
Colours: Blue Bayou, Soft Sky, Shimmery White CS
Stamps: Polka Dots and Paisley
Other: punches and Ice Circle Brads
Step #1. Punch two tabs out using your tab punch. I punched them out using the Soft Sky Paper
Step #2: Lay the two punched out tabs on top of each other (perpendicular to one another) so it forms a circle. How cool is that!!! This was shown to us at Regionals!
Step #3. Punch out the tab on your card front.(for a 3x3 card if you push it all the way up and center it between the two sides you get a perfectly centered circle!!!)
Step #4. Turn your paper 90 degrees and punch the tab so it is perpendicular to the first punch. You may want to practice this a few times on scrap paper first! And voila you have a big circle
Step #5. Punch all your other layers and create your card!
I absolutely love learning new little tricks with already exsiting tools. This was FANTASTIC and I didn' t have to pull out my Coluzzle and it fits perfectly! Have fun trying.
Very cool Heather - we dont have a coluzzle in Australia - so this is a handy hint to know! Thanks for posting!
