hAppY nEw yEAr's EvE dAy!

WOW.....2011 drawing to a close!  So many things have happened over the course of this past year!  

• Cole has started a program that has him interacting with kids and other adults other than me and it's going great
• Nathan is now loving school
• Mark had a fun and successful football season
• Emma continues to love cheer and is starting to like dance
• Adam has grown his wrestling club in ways he never dreamed
• Stampin' Up! continues to be a huge part of my life and that's thanks to all of you!
• Our family went on some amazing trips together....Chicago, Alaska, Pittsburgh and the cottage
• The list can go on, but truly we are just so blessed to have a such supportive familes and a wonderful life!  I am looking forward to another great year to come!

Today's card was a fun one to put together. I think my favourite product from the upcoming mini are the edgelet dies.  Check out the edge of this card....isn't that cute?  You can do that on any of our card stock in the comfort of your own home:)  FUN!!!  There's another edge I'll share later this week with you as well!  You're going to LOVE it!  I will shoot a video on it for you as well soon!

I knew as sson as I saw this stamp set I had to have it!  I love the "antique" typewriter (those were Emma's words....antique...seriously, I took typing class in grade 9 on a typewriter...am I that old?)  Anyhow, old or not, I love it!  

The colour combination on this card is Pool Party, Soft Suede and Cherry Cobbler...yummy!!!  I hope you like it!  Have a wonderful day and a safe night!  I'll see you next year:)

You Send Me Soaring....

Friday already!  One week has passed since school break started...wow!  Time is flying by!  We've got Adam's brother coming tonight for the weekend with his family, should be fun and busy!  Not sure yet how we will be celebrating New Years but it will be a house full of cousins....sounds like games and snacks to me!

I am LOVING this colour combination that is inspired by some new DSP coming your way in January!  It's main colours are Riding Hood Red, Baja Breeze and Pear Pizazz.  And the best part is we have this beautiful new pleated ribbon in those colours as well!  Don't you love the ribbon...it comes like this, you DO NOT have to sew!  I know you're going to love it!

There are lots of layers on this card for you, but I think that's what makes the sweet simple stamped image pop!  I thought the greeting for this card is adorable, and one you can use for so many thing...friendship, family, thank you....great to have on hand!  This stamp set comes with about 8 different kite patterns (I may be wrong on the number here) but I picked my favourite checkerboard, layered it on Riding Hood Red and popped it up.  The clouds and strings are stamped with Baja Breeze.  

I hope you like today's card and are as excied as I am about the upcoming mini!  To all my local customers, I'll be posting my class list here this weekend and there's a twist....I've got some special thank yous to the first 8 that sign up for each class this month!  Can't wait...hope you're as excited as I am!

I stamped!!!

WOW, what fun!  I snuck away with Nathan to my craft room (sorry, studio) yesterday and got in a few minutes to stamp!  Boy did it feel GREAT!  I was so excited to create with all the fun new products that are coming soon to a demonstrator near you:)  (the new mini begins January 4th - save your pennies, it's AMAZING!)

When I buy new products I make a rule with myself that it doesn't get put away until it gets used.  It seems like a silly rule, but I don't like too much clutter or mess and want things put in their spot...so this gets me using my product!  

Today's card was my "warm up".  It's a simple layout but lots of details. The big stamp is actually one stamp, but I cut out a cupcake wrapper from the Soft Suede DSP, the top of the cupcake was cut from a stamped image in Calypso Coral, the cherry is a punched circle in Real Red with Crystal Effects all over it.  The heart again, was cut from the Calypso Coral stamped image.

It's hard to see in this photo, but the paper on the bottom is actually "puffy".  The hearts are raised (embossed) and so yummy!)  Hope you like today's card!  See you agian tomorrow with another stamped image!

Pure Joy!

I hope you have had a fantastic week so far!  I have to be honest in saying I haven't had any time yet to get into my craft room and do any paper crafting in over a week!  That makes me sad, BUT it's been so worth it!  We've been having so much fun together building Lego, playing games and just hanging out!

BUT late at night when Nathan and Cole are snug in their beds and the work is done, I like to snuggle up on the couch and dust off the laptop and do some MDSing.  I love these photos of Cole!  He was SO SO SO excited opening any or every present...socks, tractors, books all go these funny and fun faces!  Thanks for making it so fun Cole!

I also thought I'd share a little non stamping video of Cole!  Hope you like it!  Will do my best to find my craft room today!

On the first day of celebrations.....

Happy Tuesday to you!  I hope that you have been having some relaxing days and wonderful experiences with family and friends!  Our festivities aren't over yet!  YAY!  We get to have our turkey dinner today and I can't wait!!!!  Adam's dad makes the BEST stuffing around (as well as lots of yummy sides!)  Should be great!

In the meantime, I thought I'd share some photos with you!  These pictures are from the 24th with my mom and Bill.  We love having them over on Christmas Eve for some treats and time together.  I love that Emma and Mark picked out some fun holiday treats for them at the school store this year...very cute, and thoughtful!

This page uses a combination of the Day in the Life stamp set and Trim the Tree embellishments.  I may add a little more detail to this page (like journaling or buttons) but in the meantime, here is the two page spread:)

Boxing Day Already!

Where did Christmas Eve and Christmas Day go????  What I truly love about this season is that our family is so blessed to have lots of family to celebrate with and today is no exception!  I will share pictures of our celebrations soon, but in the meantime I've got another meal to prep:)  We had Adam's family here yesterday which was SO much fun!  I am lucky to have such a great extended family, the kids get along great and it was such a relaxing day!  Today we have my step mom, step sister and Grandma here for brunch!  Can't wait!

Today's card is one that I made with my Grandma at the nursing home with 15 of her closest friends:)  It was lots of fun and I cut extras as I knew they would make great after Christmas cards (for thank yous or for winter wishes:)  I have my friend Becky Roberts (Inking Idaho) to thank for this one....she's my inspriation on this and let's be honest so many projects!  She is a GEM!

This is a fun interactive card for any age!  hope you like it!  So if you're like me and didn't quite get all the cards out that you had intended to, maybe this one would work!  OR make some with your munchkins to send out as Christmas thank yous!  Have fun with it!  Enjoy your Boxing Day and I'll see you again tomorrow!

Santa Gift Card Holder

Well, what happened to yesterday....it's gone!  It's Christmas Eve!  Can you believe it?  We are SO SO SO excited around our home!  Today my mom and Bill come over for our Christmas time together, which I love!  It'll be fun with an "active" one this year, although I'm sure it won't take him too long to get it!  Can't wait!  Not to worry, there will be about a million photos!!!!

Are you looking for an EASY PEASY last minute gift card holder?  Hope this can help you out!  I used one of the Stampin' Up! long envelopes for this little "card".  I simply folded the envelope in half.  Then I put the glitter paper on the front panel and the flap.  The buttons are 1/2 inch circles in Basic Black.  The belt is a 1 inch strip of Basic Black cardstock, and then the buckle is the Silver Glitter Paper (1 1/4 inch square).  The middle of the buckle is a 3/4 inch Basic Black Square.  Then the belt simply acts as the belly band that keeps the card closed.

Then when you open the envelope it looks like this.  You can of course add your greeting and embellish the inside OR just hand write a little something.  QUICK and EASY!!!!  So stop reading my blog and go make 50 of them!  Kidding, but maybe this can help with that last minute gift you have.

Moving Card

Happy FRIDAY to you!  Can you believe we are TWO days away!!!  HOW FUN!  We are pretty excited around here!  Today is Christmas party for Cole, craft in Emma's class and some more baking!  Can't wait!!!!  I will be back this afternoon with my final day of Adam's avent and MDS blog hop.  BUT to start off the day I thought I'd share a NON Christmas card...what!!!!  I know, but I thought it was cute and you'd like to see it!  

It actually could be a cute Christmas card with a message like "from our house to yours".  But let's be honest, if you're not done your cards they just might not get done:)  (I haven't finished all mine...need to make some new years cards I guess!)

Were you wondering where I was?

Well, today's post is for a special friend, Anne, that celebrates a birthday tomorrow!  I wanted to share a project I made for her, but couldn't do it too early in the day JUST IN CASE she checks my blog:)

The first part of the project is the card and bag.  Thanks to Ruth Bingle for this amazing bag idea...I LOVE IT and use it all the time!  Seriously, you need one sheet of cardstock and a brown paper bag.  I cut about 5 inches off the top of the bag and then attach a half sheet of cardstock to the front and back of the bag....voila.....a package!

And the card, was inspired by another friend, Diana Gibbs!  I LOVED her swap from Founders and knew I had to share this idea for a special friend!  Isn't it a GREAT card?  Thank you Diana!  Now the card is actually attached to the front of the bag with a clear envelope (I cut the top of the envelope off so the card just sits inside...fun, eh?)

One of the projects I made for Anne, is a tea holder.  Anne LOVES her tea and I always tease her that when we travel she has her little plastic bag with tea bags and sweetners inside.  So, when looking on Pinterest one day I saw this adorable idea!  CLICK HERE for the tutorial on how to make this little tea wallet.

The finished folded size of this holder is 5 x 3.5 or so.  Opened up, it's 5x7.  I was amazed at how cute and quick this came together and I think Anne liked it:)  I sure did and think I'll be making more!  I used the Spice Cake fabric on this, just sewed together strips of fabric on the outside for a "quilted look".  The rest of the instructions are on the link above and very easy to follow!  Have fun with it!  Now, there are four pockets inside, perfect for a few different tea bags and sweetners, but I thought a Roll up the Rim (for Tim Hortons' cups) and a gift card might be a little more fun:)

Adam's Advents.....oops:)

I forgot to post yesterday's cheesy advent gift for you!  So I guess, today's your lucky day and you get two:)  I love the idea that some of you are already planning to use this as a countdown to Valentine's day...how sweet is that!?!?  Maybe I'll have to come up with a new one for my kids for Valentines....hmmmm....remind me:)

So this first tag says, "Our life may sometimes be a circus, but I'm glad we're in it together."  This tag was SO easy to make as I just used a section of the Big Top Birthday DSP and voila.....I was done!  Cute, eh?

And the second tag says, "If you were a burger at McDonalds, you could be called McGorgeous."  I know, I know....that one is BAD!  But Emma made me do it:)  At the time of taking pictures I didn't have the treat for this one, but I simply tied it to a package of peppermint "patties"....close to a burger, right?

Adam's Advent Day 8

Our Weekend was SNOW MUCH FUN!

Happy Monday to you!  I hope you have had a great weekend!  Ours was SNOW MUCH FUN!!!!  Between two family Christmases, the fun snowfall and of course delicious food, we had a great weekend!

I think it was very appropriate that we were welcomed with a beautiful blanket of white snow on Saturday morning!  The kids were SO excited and it meant they would be outside for hours while I got some dinner plans ready!  My boys especially LOVE to be outside (and don't notice the cold!)  They had fun rolling snowfalls and building a fort.  

I was glad we had some new fresh snow for us on Sunday so I too could go out and play with my boys!  Hey, we learned something new......if it's cold enough and you blow bubbles outside (you know the "summer" bubbles) they freeze....SO FUN!!!!

What have I been up to?

Let me start by saying yesterday was FANTASTIC!!!  I had a great time with my family and I think the kids did as well!!!  You know you'll see photos soon on my MDS pages:)  Well, I certainly can't share everything right now as some people read my blog and I can't spoil their surprises....right?  BUT I can share something with you I made for Nathan.  He has been asking for slippers, so I thought I'd try making him a pair:)

I used the Vanna brand yarn (because it was on sale....no other reason than that...I don't know much about yarns...I also liked the flecked colours).  When I crocheted the yarn, I used a double strand (so I bought two balls of the same yarn and when I crocheted, I had two strands of yarn for each stitch).

I watched THIS VIDEO on how to create the bottom of a bootie, and modified it a bit for Nathan's foot size.  I chained 17 stitches and used a 5 mm hook.  

Then for the body of the shoe, I watched THIS VIDEO to make the body of the shoe.  Because my shoe is a little larger, I used 18 stitches (rather than 16) when working on the toe of the shoe.  I also added a row of single crochets on the toe to add a little more surface area.  (I did this after the first row).  

The two videos shoe how to make a bootie (without the ankle component).  SO, I just did some double crocheting rows above the pattern I used to make it my own, and a little more snuggie for Nathan.  

He then picked the button colour he wanted on the flap on the side of the shoe.  What I like about the button is that I can adjust this as his foot grows.  These boots are a little large right now, so the button is on a little farther back than I thought it would be, but as his foot grows I can move the button for him.

Well, I hope you like my "non paper craft" post today:)  I wanted to share with you what I've been up to!  I've been having fun creating handmade gifts and treasures for friends and family!  I hope you have a FABULOUS day today!

Happy Saturday to you!  I hope your day is off to a great start!  I can't wait, we have another family Christmas today....we're hosting my family here today!!!  YAY!

We are in good shape.....I won't share the list of still yet to complete though:)  Actually we're in great shape!

Today's project is very similar to the elf utensil holders (that will be on my table today:) using the Pillow Box Die.  Here is a quick supply list:

• Old Olive - pillow box die
• Basic Black - 5 1/2 x 1, 3/4 x 3/4, itty bitty punch pack
• Shimmer Silver Paper - 1 1/4 x 1 1/4
• Real Red - scallop circle
• Whisper White - 1 3/8 inch circle
• DSP - I just cut it using the Big Shot die and it was about 1 1/4 inches tall

Catch up Friday!

Happy Friday to you!  I don't know what your week has been like, but ours has been a whirlwind of activity!  Today is no different...can't wait....craft in NAthan's class, Emma's concert, craft in Mark's class and the first of many family Christmases!  WHOO HOOO!!!!

So, I know I "owe" you quite a few things....so today's post will be a little longer than usual:)  Yesterday's cheesy advent gift for Adam was "I'm glad that we are so "cheesy" together!" and I attached it to a bag of cheesies:)  Cute, eh?  It's funny as I didn't give Adam this until later in the evening and he thought I forgot:)  So he really is enjoying it and does care:)  What I lvoe is how quickly these all come together using MDS!!!!  Isn't it GREAT????

Next, the other day (just scroll back to check it out) I shared this little card box and matching cards with you!  I've had a lot of requests to share the dimensions.  I'll do my best (but no promises) to get a video, but in the meantime, here are the details on the box and cards:

The box dimensions are:

4 1/4 x 11 scored at 3 1/8, 3 7/8, 7, 7 3/4 then the end is scalloped

The other dimensions are 1/2 inch on both sides of the box

The card dimensions are:

3 x 6 scored at 3

card stock 2 7/8 x 2 7/8 (crumb cake)

then I used a piece of 2x2 DSP under the snowflake punch:)

And now I thought I'd share with you today's cheesy Advent gift for Adam....."I'm stuck on you" attached to a piece of gum.  Nothing too fancy about this tag...just a little festive.  Hope you like it!

Merry Christmas Box Set

Good Morning to you!  I hope you having a great week! I'm super excited to say I am DONE my Christmas cards!  WOW, that's a first...it's only mid December!!!!  Now, to actually mail them:)

Today's post is a quick one as I've gotta get the munchkins to the bus!  These were fun card sets I did with my downline at our christmas party and I've since made a whole whack of them....cute, festive, thoughtful and inexpensive...perfect for lots of people!!!

Cheesy Advent for Adam - Day 4

Happy Tuesday to you!  I think today might just be one of my favourite lead up days to Christmas....it's the Kindergarten concert at school!  I LOVE LOVE LOVE this concert!  I went last year even when I didn't have a child in Kindergarten!  I can guarentee you that I will have a permanent smile on my face tomorrow, may shed a few tears and just be pushed over the edge into FULL ON Christmas spirit!  I can't wait!

Nathan was adorable about this concert.  He was asked to come to school in his Christmas best.  So, he went upstairs (on his own) and was trying on clothes that he thought may be his Christmas best.  I walked in on him wearing one of Cole's button down shirts, trying to figure out how a tie works and a pair of track pants.  Oh how I wish I had a camera!  So sweet!

Alrighty, I know you didn't come to hear me babble on and on about today's exciting day!  You came to see a crafty project!  Well, I'm not done editing my video for today, so I thought I'd start with the Advent gift for Adam.  This one I'm sure is no shocker, but I had to do one with "nuts".  So, today's cheesy advent is "I'm NUTS about you" with a bag of peanuts!

Adam's 12 Day of Christmas - Day 3

Happy Third Day of cheesy Christmas gifts:)  I forgot to mention to you this morning but I'm so excited....our house has Christmas lights on it!!!  YAY!!!!  Thanks Adam!  These are the little things that just make a relationship work, don't you think?  I get Christmas lights, he gets cheesy Christmas "thinking of you" gifts:)

This is such a silly litlle line, but I had to use it!  "Glad I SKORed you as my guy!"  I hope you like it!

Utensil Holders for Christmas Dinner

Christmas dinner.....can you believe I'm thinking that far ahead???  Not only am I thinking that far ahead, but I've created that far ahead...so excited!  I work in funny ways though, I may be done the table decor for my dinner on Saturday, but I haven't given any thought to the crafts I have to do in Nathan and Mark's class this week!  Isn't that always the way???

So these little gems are made with the pillow box Big Shot die....cute, eh?  I punched the front part of the box with the 2 1/2 inch circle punch.  The rest of the supplies are as follows:

• Basic Black - 5 1/2 x 1, 3/4 x 3/4, Itty Bitty Punch Pack Circle
• Silver Glitter Paper - 1 1/4 x 1 1/4

These are as simple and cute as they appear.....making a whole whack of them took no time at all!  Hope you like them!

LOVING Burlap

Happy Sunday to you!!!  I hope you are having a GREAT weekend!  Our has been super fun so far.....cheer competition yesterday (went really well...so proud of the girls!), and today we decorated our tree!  I am SO happy!  LOVE LOVE LOVE that it's beginning to look and feel like Christmas!

I know, that's a weird title, but I'm having TOO much fun with burlap these days!  It's a nice cheap crafting medium that is neutral and can be matched with so many things (like Stampin' Up!'s Deck the Halls fabric!)

These were so fun and simple to make.....mason jars with a little burlap twist.  Now, I burned candles in these little guys, but you could create the fun recipe in a jars, homemade hot choclate, or anything else that fits in a jar!  To make these I simple ironed (yes, I ironed!) over the edges of the burlap and sewed them flat.  Then I took some of our Deck the Halls fabric and ironed over the edges.  I then stitched it onto the burlap, marked where the two seams overlapped, stitched the two ends together, embellished and voila....a little mason jar sleeve!!!  FUN STUFF!  Hope you like the quick post today....off to visit with a great friend this afternoon with Mark and Nathan before heading to cheer with Emma.  Hope you have a GREAT day!  (How many Christmas lights do you think Adam will get up with Cole this afternoon:)

Christmas Tag- Day 11...sort of

Happy Saturday to you!  This is a SUPER quick post this morning!  We are on our way to Oshawa (Emma and I and other friends too!) for a cheer competition!  It's a QUICK run there and back today, but will be lots of fun!  I can't wait to see them perform!

Day 2 of Adam's 12 Days of Christmas

Thanks for all the kind words on yesterday's post about the 12 Days of Christmas!  Remember, these are CHEESY but cute, right?  I have decided to give Adam one for each "working" day he has before Christmas (so you won't see these posted on the weekend....but the 12 tags of Christmas will finish off this weekend for you:)

I love that a few of you asked about Adam's reaction.  He got his sweet little grin and said thank you:)  I'm sure he's thinking "she's a nut, but I love her!"  Maybe????  Anyhow, I don't care, I want Adam to know how great he is and sometimes these strange acts can make someone feel loved, right?

Today's little pun is "you o'fish'ally have my heart!"  I thought that was a sweet line!  Nathan helped me pick out the treats so this is what he wanted.  Although you could use the fish candies (and Mark thought we should get him a real gold fish....no thank you!)

Christmas Theme MDS Blog Hop

Happy Friday to you!  Friday already!!!  Here's hoping we go pick out our tree tonight (fingers crossed!)  I am super excited to share TWO posts with you again today...both using My Digital Studio!

The first project are these little gems!  Aren't they SO STINKIN CUTE???  I have seen these before, and actually made something similar I think about 7 years ago...but I painted them and didn't use fabric.  It's funny how crafting goes in cycles!

For these little guys, I created the snowmen in My Digital studio and printed two per page (see the image to the right).  I cut the paper to measure 5 3/4 x 5 1/2 (cut off the excess paper on the left side of the page).  The rest of the assembly process is shown in the video for you!  I had this fabric here for some other project I did but I will be making more using the Candy Cane Christmas fabric!  Can't wait (will share those photos when I'm done them:)

As you can see on the image I created in MDS, I drew the smiles on with a Basic Black marker.  The elements I used to create these little munchkins are:

• Basic Black buttons (for buttons)
• Heart punch filled with DSP
• stitching
• circle punch filled with Pink Pirouette and then I dropped a shadow
• pennant punch filled with Pumpkin Pie
• black brads for the eyes

Day 1 of another 12 day series!!

Do you ever feel that you want to do something nice for your spouse or partner but are never sure what to do?  You all know how Adam feels about crafting (remember the jelly bean witch:)  Actually, Adam is super supportive and loves that I'm happy, but sometimes he just needs to "get it" a little more.  After seeing this idea on Pinterest (yes, I know!) I decided to recreate the idea using My Digital Studio for Adam.....it's going to be the 12 days of Christmas - cheesy mode!  I'll leave him a treat each night for the next 12 days before he leaves for work (not weekends) so I'll share them with you as I reveal them to Adam!  

Today's tag says, "I soda think you're cute!"  Cheesy, I know!  But hey, he was happy with this and hopefully he gets the warm and fuzzies!

Christmas Tag - Day 10

Happy Thursday to you!  Can you believe it....December 8th already!!!  WOW, how fun!  I have to admit I did some wrapping yesterday....me, wrapping this early!  Now, just need a tree to put the gifts under:)  This weekend....hopefully!!!

Today's tag is another one of my favourites!  I love the candy cane die from the Stocking Accents die...isn't it sweet!  Now, if I had more time I would cut the candy cane along the perferated edges (next time) and rotate the colours:)  But in the meantime, this is what you get:)

I used the 3 1/2 inch die in Real Red, and the 3 inch circle in Crumb Cake.  The greeting is embossed in White Embossing Powder.  Then the button is put on with Baker's Twine....LOVE it!!!!

Anyhow, it's a quick post today as there are lots of things I need to catch up on and do!  (more videos for you!!!)  AND, I wanted to let you know that I've got another post coming up this afternoon....you excited????  Have a great morning!

Just stuff to share....

I shouldn't say "just"....I have a ton of things I thought I'd share with you today....sort of a mish mash of items!  Depending on my day and my boy I may be back with a tag and video to share, but I don't want to promise in case he doesn't nap AGAIN!

So first off, I've had some of you asking me what PINTEREST is.  Well, it's my newest obession...that's what it is!!!!  It's an amazing site FULL of amazing ideas...on all topics - fashion, hair, baking, cooking, fitness, crafts, photography....you name it, it's on it!  There are just millions of ideas from all sorts of clever people in this world!  Some of the ideas are simple....like the one in the photo next to this....pipe cleaners + a strainer = hours of fun!  Cole spent over 30 minutes with this concoction!  Cole has never spend more than 30 minutes doing anything before so I just had to share this super fun idea!

Here is another craft idea I got off the site.  I wanted to make a special gift for my friend Alicia as a thank you for being my upline and for the amazing dinner we had on Monday night.  She is not a sewer (she joked about once owning a $20 machine and never taking it out of the box:)  So, I headed over to Pinterest and there I found a pattern for this super sweet six pocket purse!  I LOVE IT!!!!  I will be making more and will include my modified instructions so you can make this with the Stampin' Up! fabric!  I hope Alicia likes it as muc as I do!

BUT, I didn't stop at the bag...no, that'd be too easy!  I wanted to add just a little something to the bag so why not throw on a flower???  (needed to use our yummy buttons right?)  So, off I went to Pinterest and found a QUICK video on how to make these adorable flowers (will share that with you too!)  So are you convinced you need to check out Pinterest yet?  (In case you have to make one of these flowers NOW, I used the Clear Circle Die for the Big Shot, cut the circles in half.  Then fold the half circles in half again with right sides together.  Sew down the open side (straight edge, not rounded), inside out and then do a running stitch along the curved ends of the petals, pull and voila!!!)  I will shoot a video but thought I'd share quick instructions to those that "need" them NOW:)

And last but certainly not least, I thougth I'd share with you my Secret Santa gift from Monday.  I was the LUCKY recipient to get to bring home Shannon's Peanut Butter Balls!  They are so yummy it's ridiculous!  Now, Shannon could have easily gotten away with putting these little gems on a plate, but NO!  She made the cutest topiary tree and lined each treat with a scallop circle cut from SU Designer Series Paper!  Crazy!  Thank you Shannon for the yummiest gift ever!  Isn't it great?

Christmas Tag - Day 9

Day 9!  Are you super excited....we're getting closer to Christmas as each day passes!  I'm SUPER excited!   I feel like I'm 5!  I had SO much fun last night at my dinner and had the BEST meal....I LOVE beef.....LOVE it....and had a GREAT steak last night!  SO GOOD....still thinking about it!

In the meantime, here's today's tag!!!  It uses the Two Tags die in Real Red.  Dry embossing the tag helped to "hide" the crease line in the middle of the tag.  I then punched out a 2 1/2 inch circle in Crumb Cake and attached it to the tag front.  I used the Wild Wasabi ornament and folded them in half and attached them together.  The ornament "top" is just the cute cute button with some bakers twine.

What do you think?  I had fun making this tag and look forward to having the jewelry tag dangling from this I think with the recipients names on it:)

Table Favours

I did a fair amount of crafting for my downline dinner last Thursday night!  I made one of these little gems for each of my friends that came to the dinner!  LOVED them!  They were a big hit!  I can't take credit for this creation....guess what....I saw them on PINTEREST!!!!  (CHECK this site out....seriously!)

Here are the supplies I used to make these cuties:

• Cherry Cobbler - 2 Petal Cone dies, Itty Bitty Punch Pack (nose)
• Whisper White - bird punch (wings...two), 2 3/4 x 1 3/4 then cut on the angle for the beard and dry embossed
• Basic Black - Itty Bitty Punch Pack (mouth), Cupcake Punch (eyes)
• Blushing Bride - large oval
• Shimmer Silver Paper - Boho Flower Punch (top of hat), Scallop Circle (with the Scallop Oval punched out of it - for hat)
• White Gel Pen (highlight eyes and nose)
• Felt Pieces (for the hat)

So what do you think????  I LOVE them and they hold YUMMY Peppermint Kisses inside!

Christmas Tag - Day 8

Good morning .... it's Monday!  Did you have a great weekend?  I am STILL smiling over our weekend!  I LOVE the holiday season and this weekend was a great kickoff to the beginning of what I hope will be a fantastic holiday season!  Can't wati!  And tonight I have an EXCITING dinner with my upline and sidelines with Stampin' Up!  I look forward to this event each holiday season as well, it's a great time to catch up with my friend Alicia!  Maybe I'll remember to bring a camera to share with you:)

Today's tag is a fun one.....lots of dies and punching:)  I used the scallop square die with the Wild Wasabi card stock and then dry embossed it with the snow burst folder.  The Real Red peek-a-boo window is centered with a Crumb Cake square on top:)  Cute, eh?  Then Santa is stamped on the shimmer white card stock (1 1/4 inch circle) and mounted on a Wild Wasabi (1 3/8 inch circle).  I hope you like it!!!  Check out the video for all the details.

Happy Sunday to you! Christmas Tag Day 7

Well, can you tell that I'm having a GREAT weekend....sorry for the delay in the posts!  It was my nephew's surprise birthday party WEEKEND!  I can't believe he is 18.  Matthew is such a nice boy (I suppose man!) and I am just so lucky to be able to celebrate with him!  Sandra had a GREAT party last night for Matthew with super fun games and AMAZING food!  Then this morning all the boys went paintballing and the girls (and little people) made cookies and decorated them!  It was a BLAST!!!  Thank you Sandra!  So, because of all the fun, a post didn't happen until now:)  I know you don't mind though!

Today's tag is just so sweet and QUICK!!!!  I should issue this warning:  IMAGE IS WAY BIGGER ON YOUR SCREEN THAN IN PERSON:)  It uses the small scallop square in Real Red, the 1 3/8 inch square in More Mustard and 1 1/4 inch square in Crumb Cake.  On the Crumb Cake I embossed the image in Wild Wasabi heat embossing powder.  Cute, eh?

Christmas Tag - Day 6

Happy Saturday to you!  So excited for the festivities that the day is going to bring!  I'm not sure about any of you, but if you're hooked on Pinterest, you'll know there are some AMAZING recipes on that site!  I am excited to make the Oreo truffles (thanks Becky and Lori!) and the cookie dough dip...I'll keep you posted on how they turn out!  Last night for dinner I made the Pizza Puffs....SO YUMMY!!!!!

OK, I know you're not here to hear about my cooking and baking adventures....you're here for some crafting fun!  This tag was super easy to put together.  Two tags die cut with Real Red.  Then I die cut the "m" in Wild Wasabi.  The tags are Crumb Cake with the "merry" stamped in the Tiny Tags stamp set.  Cute, eh?

MDS Blog Hop

Happy Friday afternoon to you!  I hope you're having a great day!  It's been busy around here, but I just enjoyed a great lunch (alone....Cole is napping) and finished off my MDS page for you today!

I have been going through my MDS pages for July to December of 2011 and I noticed I needed a few more pages of Emma and Cole.....I guess I have more photos of the other two:)  Anyhow, I really love this picture of Emma so decided to use it on a monochromatic (that's our theme this week) page of her.  So, most of the page is Pear Pizzazz (or a shade similar to:).  I had to throw in the purple bits just to pull out the purple in her hair!

I can't take credit for this layout, I saw it online SOMEWHERE and now I can't find it again!  The page I saw was not digital and they hand painted where I have the digital tape.  Of course I modified the original idea to "make it my own" and use all my fantastic My Digital Studio downloads as well!

Scentsy....so fun!

Happy Friday to you!  I am on such a HIGH today!!!!  I had the BEST BEST BEST downline dinner last night!  I am surrounded by amazing women.....talented, crafty, genuine and just plain old fun!  Thank you for such a great evening!  You will be seeing an MDS page of our night here (probably later today as I still have to do my MDS blog hop....I will, promise!)

BUT in the meantime, I thought I'd share a fun, different, project with you today!  My friend Stacey sent me this adorable Scentsy burner and I just knew I could "bling" it up with some SU fun!  If you've never heard of Scentsy, it's a candle free, fire free, scent creator (okay....not a Scentsy rep....don't know how to describe them but basically you plug them in, they melt these WONDERFULLY smelling disks and your room is oh so yummy!)  I love that the light makes it look like a candle, they smell like a candle BUT they aren't candles!  Perfect!

SO, they come as a nice white holder (although there are many different styles) so I needed to make it a little more festive for the coming season!  So, I die cut some vinyl, added some bling and voila!  I have a video for you to see if you're interested down below!
