Thank you to those of you that emailed and commented on this huge honour. I would have to say that this year's Convention was amazing for so many reasons, but near the top would have to be my Artisan Award experience. I am truly honoured to be considered for this award and I thoroughly enjoyed meeting the nine other recipients of this award. If you are not aware of this award, it's called the Artisan. Each year Stampin' Up! announces the contest in January, and any demonstrator that is a Senior Associate or above can enter. Each contestant has to submit 5 cards, 3 scrapbook pages and 2 3D items of your choice. I encourage each and every one of you to give it a shot! The experience for me was amazing, I had time together with my mom as she also submitted, but this type of crafting really took me out of my comfort zone and challenged me to "better my best". I enjoyed the whole experience and think that YOU should give it a try! Have fun with it!!!!
So, these amazing women I mentioned above are keen and excited to share their passion for stamping and we've set up a 10 day blog hop. So you may be arriving from one of their sites, or maybe you stopped here first. BUT we've set it up so you can start anywhere in the loop and link to each of our sites for the next 10 days as we'll show and share a little bit about each project! Have fun and feel free to leave comments along the way! Thanks for stopping by here today!
If you were at Convention and saw the display boards, you actually have not seen this card! When I went to my board first thing on Wednesday this card was missing:) Not sure what happened to it, but these things happen and I'm not worried! I'm just glad I took a picture of it before I sent in the projects (unlike my one 3D...we'll get to that one later in the week:)
This card was fun to put together. I printed off the Greatest Moments circle in MDS and hole punched every other hole and used this as a guide for placing my pearls. I was struggling with eyeballing it so I needed to use a template and that's how I created it:)
The butterflies are created using the Beautiful Butterfly die, dimensionals and lastly the Trinket Key was adhered with Crystal Effects.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask, and in the meantime I hope you have a wonderful day! I'll be back again tomorrow with project number 2! (Although you know me, I may be back before then:) Have fun following along on the blog hop! Since I'm last on the list, hop on back to the beginning and check out Connie's BEAUTIFUL creation...she sure is talented!!!
Take care,
Heather

You just can't stay away from MDS. Is there a 12 step program for that addiction?? I am so sorry I didn't get to see this card on the wall. It's fantastic.

Heather,
I heard there was a missing card and I could hardly wait to see it! I love how you used MDS to create a pearl placement guide. \And only you would have thought to use a key for the butterfly body...you amaze me every day with your creativity!

You may be last on this list but you are always first for me. The card is beautiful - I am so looking forward to seeing the rest of your creations. Did you dye the ribbon rose?
