Here is my final card that I submitted for Artisan. I'd have to say this might be my favourite but just by a smidge. This card took me about 18 hours to complete....which is ridiculous for a card, but I couldn't stop! I just had to paper piece the teeniest morsels and pop things and embellish and well, you can tell I'm sure by the photos:)
I like the outside of the card, but it isn't my favourite part. I paper pieced most of the main image using the Nursery DSP from last year's catalogue. The card actually has a "spine" on it that is about 1/2 an inch thick as well (you'll see why in the next photo:)
I really love this colour combination of Baja and Pear...so soft and pretty. The inside of the card was completely inspired by a Christmas card my mom made me that popped out. As soon as I saw her card idea I thought I needed to make something similar using baby blocks.
I created the banner using the smallest oval punch we sell and using only half of it. Then the itty bitty punch pack circles were put on the fun little ovals. Each block has a top and one side and I just selected the images from this baby set (forget the name) and paired them up with a different letter:)
I wish that I made two of these cards just to have a sample. I'm not sure I'd make another one (although it'd be WAY faster the second time....like only a few hours tops now that I know the pattern and layout:)
Thanks for stopping by today for our daily Artisan hop:) I'm sure you were completely inspired by Summer and will be wowed by Connie if you haven't already been! Hope you have a wonderful day and I'll see you again tomorrow for our last Artisan blog hop (for now:)
Have a wonderful day! Take care,
Heather

This card is absolutely perfect in every way! I wish I knew how to make that style of card - you should definitely post a tutorial (that way you get a second card and we all get to benefit too)!

Eighteen hours for a card...I think you are crazy (in a good kind of way). I also think that maybe you inherited some of that attention to detail from your mom. This card is AMAZING.

This card is just too cute! I love all the details. Makes me want to try my hand at a pop up card again - I tried one years ago with very little success.
