My Digital Studio ... Page, Club and Swatchbook!

Happy Sunday to you!  Can you believe that we are on the LAST day of July....seriously, where did the time go?  I am SO sad summer is about half over!  BUT we have lots of fun things planned so I'm sure August will be a ton of fun!

I've been planning a ton of fun things coming up...some of which you already know about, and some things are coming!  Today's post will focus on none other than MY DIGITAL STUDIO!  I have a few pieces of news for My Digital Studio

Today is the last day that I will have the My Digital Studio swatchbook #1 for sale!  They were a huge hit and I have so many of YOU to thank!  I appreciate the kind words and the support you offered with these books.  I hope you have as much fun with it as I did!  Here is a quick synopsis of the details - 26 page swatchbook (13 front and back), 25 double page sketches, 25 different colour combinations and 25 MDS tips/tricks!  What fun!!!!  And to top it off, you get a sample of what a swatchbook is, so as a demonstrator it's a great business tool and as a customer you get a sample of the book so you can see for yourself how amazing they are!  If you are interested in one of these books, the cost is $25 which includes your shipping fee.  At midnight this book will no longer be available.  CLICK HERE if you'd like even more details:)

SO, if you are an MDS lover (or want to be one:) and you are Canadian then this is the club for you!  How does it work?  Commit to spending $20 a month on MDS downloads (or print products or other SU product) for six months from my SU online store.  For six months you will get a MINIMUM of one video and one page/project per week.  The page/project will be a detailed explanation of the page that will be exclusive to the club.  Of course there will be perks and challenges throughout:)  If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask!  This club starts TOMORROW, but the first order isn't due until the 10th of August, so you have time to think this through and join the fun!!!  I hope you do!  If you're interested please email me at adamsum@yahoo.com 

Last but not least....do you like today's page?  I had fun creating this one.  A friend of mine emailed me a sketch (I think she drew it from a page online..not 100% sure as she didn't remember for sure either) and this is what I came up with (thanks Joni).  I used the hostess disk, Noteworthy (isn't it fun!) for all the DSP and the embellishments.  The title was done with the punched alphabet.  The only "trick" to the page is the fact that I created the "ring" of DSP. I shot a quick video on how to do this at the bottom of this post if you're interested!

Up, Up and Away

I am LOVING this set!  It is so fun...hot air balloons are HOT right now in paper crafting (and I wasn't sure why....I know!)  BUT I ordered the set because I thought, "I see great things with hot air balloons...maybe, I can give it a shot."  And am I ever glad that I did!  I love this set!  I love the ribbons that cascade from the basket, the options for the patterns and just everything about it!  I hope you do too!

Emma has been at my mom's this week as my niece has been staying with my mom (Augusta....who just turned two).  Without even hesitating, Emma jumped at the opportunity to help my mom, but more importantly play with a "little girl".  Emma really wishes sometimes just one of her brothers were a girl (I can't entirely blame her:)  Anyhow, I was missing her so I decided to make her a little card and drop it by for her.  

I thought this DSP was PERFECT for the card....don't the little rain drops upside down look like hot air balloons?  The DSP is called Berry Blossoms (I think it might just be my favourite DSP....right now:)  I am also loving Calypso Coral.  I thought this would be my least favourite new In Colour, but I am out of the paper first, ribbon and brads....so what does that tell you????

Anyhow, back to the card....I sure am babbling a ton today!  The clouds for this card are the cupcake punch.  I embossed them all except for the greeting.  The coral and pool party balloons are popped up and I did stamp and cut out the baskets.  

I also decorated the inside of the card with the matching concept and layout.  I hope you like the card today and the colour combination (Wisteria Wonder, Calypso Coral and Pool Party!)

Snow Much Fun!

Really....snow?  I know!  I love the thought of Christmas in July and I have actually made 18 Christmas cards!  That's more than I've ever had this early in the year!  The only trouble is that they will be given to my Grandma for her to use, so I don't have any of my own done yet:)  Not to worry, that will come!

This one uses my FAVOURITE set, Snow Much Fun!  Isn't it so cute!?!?!  I love it!!!!

Kidoodles Christmas

Thank you for such kind words and encouragement with my MDS ventures!  I have fun with it and I can tell you do too!

I am loving this colour combination...Pool Party, Cherry Cobbler and Lucky Limeade...isn't it fun!!!!  I also used the new houndstooth embossing folder on the top.  AND check out the new ribbon!  Isn't it fun and fancy!  Hope you like it!

I had fun colouring in our little elf doing his jig!I think this is looking rather festive, but switching up the stamp to the birthday octopus makes it look completely different and fun!

Sorry to have such a quick post today but we have a BUSY day ahead!  I'll keep you posted!

My Digital Studio Club

Wow, what a weekend!  We finally got a tiny bit of rain yesterday so some of the humidity has been removed (although I think we're in for another hot day!)  I am a spring and fall weather sort of a girl, but the kids have been having fun playing board games and in the pool in this extreme heat:)

Well, I'm not sure about you but not even halfway into our Summer holidays and I have WAY too many photos! 200 plus from my Grandma's 90^th birthday, 300 from my nieces 2^nd birthday, tons by the pool and then some! For those of you that know me, I am obsessed and love taking pictures, so this is not out of the norm!

Here is what I have planned for the current MDS club I am offering:

• 6 month club (24 weeks) starting August 1st
• Canadians ONLY
• $20 per month in downloads for the club (to be placed by the 10^th of the month or earlier)
• at the end of the 6 month club you will receive an MDS swatchbook sketchbook from me for FREE! (it will be different than the one that I just sold on my blog!) This will contain 25 double page layouts, 25 colour combinations and 25 MDS tips/tricks!!!!
• once a week we will have an MDS video demonstrating a tip or technique
• once a week you will receive a sketch, page sample and tips/tricks guide for you to easily recreate your own page in your colour scheme!  
• Of course there will be surprises and new things as the club progresses, but this is the minimum I am offering!  I even have some prizes and challenges planned!  Can't wait!
• I will be building an online community in NING and will keep it open for two months after our club ends so you can download all information you need/want

If you don't already own My Digital Studio, now is a great time! It actually went down in price in the current catalogue (which is super exciting!) If you decide to take the plunge, this will be "worth" three months of club orders and you won't regret it AT ALL!!!!

My Digital Studio....Have you missed it?

I have been a crazy MDSer lately, but you'd never know!!!!  I have done my 25 pages that correspond with the sketchbook I created for sale!  I had so much fun with this project that you know I'll be doing a book #2 in the future!  Thank you SO SO much for your support and kind words!  Here are a few things that people are saying:

Alrighty, onto the pages today.... They are both made using photos from 2008...look at how little my munchkins look!  The top page is a little summary of some of our trip to Bermuda.  I took Emma on this Stampin' Up! incentive trip and of course we had an amazing time!  I had HUGE feelings of guilt that I hadn't scrapbooked this trip for the two of us, but I can say now that I am done 12 pages so I'm a happy mom:)  This page layout was completely inspired by my friend Erica Shaw on the mydigitalstudio.net site.  I loved her strawberry page and just had to make my own!

This second page is from a family hike we took in January with family.  It was a fun little hike, but by far, Mark had the best time!  This page was inspired by one I saw on the scrapbook site, Two Peas in a Bucket.  I'm not sure who the original creator is of this idea, but if you know, please let me know:)

I Dig You

This set was a must have when the new catalogue came out.  I'm sure it's because Nathan and Cole will "love" the set and the cards I make with it.  (or at least we can pretend!)  I imagine as Nathan begins school this fall, he'll make some friends and get invited to a birthday party or two.  So I'll be ready!

This card is actually a slider card and the dump truck travels along the front of the card....fun, eh?

Here is a QUICK recipe for this card:

• More Mustard - 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scored at 4 1/4
• Baja Breeze - 5 1/4 x 4
• Soft Suede - about 5 1/4 x 1 1/4 (two of these) torn then sponged to look like dirt hills
• Whisper White - scallop oval (run through the Big Shot Texture Plate), 1/2 x 3 1/4 for the banner, scraps for the trucks
• Embellishments - neutral brads, dimensionals, pennies (for the slider)
• Inks - Riding Hood Red, More Mustard, Chocolate Chip

Kidoodles

Doesn't that set name just scream fun?  This was a MUST have when the catalogue came out (in my top...10, I'd say!)  I'm not sure about you but this year's catalogue has the BEST stamp sets they have had in a while.  Don't get me wrong, I always love stamps, but often I have about 5 MUST haves when a catalogue is released and then I gradually add to my collection throughout the year.  This year is a whole new story.....the MUST have list was 10 and I've already added to it!  I know, I have a problem!

This is a class I am hosting next Thursday (July 28th) in my home and it'll be so much fun!  The cards are "simple" and easy to duplicate in any colour combination!  We will be showcasing the new In Colours because I am dying for you to get your hands on the AMAZING new ribbon and the super fun brads!!!!  There are four different options for this class (a class fee right up to only product and a free class).  For more information, or to sign up for this class, please email me at adamsum@yahoo.com for more!

The other item I just have to share with you are the new embossing folders!  Wow, you will love them.  Which one is my favourite....I have no idea!  They are all spectacular, although the frames are really fun!  You'll have to wait and see all the samples over the next few weeks but today I thought I'd give you a little sampling.

Thank you Emma!

Happy Thursday to you!  I hope you are having a GREAT week!  If you're anywhere in the area, you and I are both having one HOT week....VERY abnormal temperatures.  So much so that the city is cancelling some of their summer programs today due to heat!  So, if you're out and about, make sure you stay hydrated!

Maybe, you can be inside today crafting the day away!  Mark has a friend over today so not 100% sure I'll have crafting time, BUT exciting, exciting.....I get to craft with Sonia tonight!!!  Whoo hooo!!!  Can't wait!!!!

Sorry, back on task.  Today's BEAUTIFUL creation was made by none other than Emma!  When I got home from Utah Emma had this waiting on my desk for me.  I love this....it's such a special treat.  She made this little keepsake to house my favourite Convention photos.  The only issue is I didn't take my camera so I have NO photos!  So, if you have any pictures of us (you and I) I'd LOVE for you to email them to me (as many of you I"m sure will:)  

The cute thing about this project is the red flower is attached to a mini clip and holds the album shut!  SO CUTE!!!  Emma truly does think outside the box!  As you can see on the inside she has the four panels for photos!

Thanks Emma!  This is beautiful and will be treasured!

An update on life....plus a card!

Well, I am finally home and somewhat settled....is there such a thing?  The laundry is done, the Stampin' Up! boxes are unpacked and bagged (if you have an order here I'll be emailing you today:), I actually have cooked a meal, I've stamped a card and I'm happy!  Wow, what a ton to accomplish!

Let me begin by saying THANK YOU to all of you that have emailed or commented, or stopped me at Convention to chat!  It sure has been an exciting year with Stampin' Up! and I have a feeling these next 12 months will be equally exciting!  Convention was amazing for so many reasons, and the number one reason was making new friends!  We always add a +ONE to our group each year, and this year is no exception (although we had more than one...Sue, Cheryl, Teneale, Barb, Jason, Alanna and team and so many more!)  Thank you for sharing your experiences with us!  I appreciate your taking the time to comment and it sure helps keep the "flame ignited!"

As for the swatchbooks, if you are in the United States and you ordered your book BEFORE July 5th, they have been sent.  If you are in Canada, they are shipping today.  If you are in the States and ordered after July 5th they are being shipped in the next day or so.  I will have my "gallery" posted or emailed by the end of next week.  I've got about 6 more pages to create (boy am I excited about them!!!)  If you're interested in ordering a swatchbook, they are still available until the end of this week and then I will be taking them off line.

Today's card was a fun one to make!  Adam and I celebrated our 12th anniversary this past weekend (yes, I'm a horrible wife and was in Utah....but he's okay with that:)  I loved that the kids on this card in a sense were a reflection on us as we have grown up together (we've been together for more than 20 years...yes, we started dating when we were five:)  This set is just too cute and I love how all the elements came together!  I hope you like it too!!!

And last but not least...yes, I do have a class planned....just finishing the samples....it's going to be using Kidoodles!  (love this set) and will be NEXT Thursday night.....hope you can make it!  I'll keep you posted on the details but in the meantime, mark it on your calendar:)

Manly birthday card

Happy Tuesday to you!  You know what that means....MDS downloads!!!  I can't wait to check them out!!!  As a matter of fact, this post will be brief so I can head on over:)

I used the new DSP (totally forget the name of it...but it's bottom right on the DSP page:) I love the print on the left, very clean, symmetrical and manly!

I had fun colouring in the stamp using markers and a blender pen on watercolour paper.  The happy birthday comes from Best Dad stamp set.  I pulled out the old sewing machine for this card as well! 

I'm happy with the final look of the card, hope you are too!  Enjoy our day!

A taste of Convention

Best of Everything

Is this stamp set not the cutest?  I love the little bird....I also love the fact that it matched our luggage tags to Alaska that were ADORABLE!

This is a bright colour combination....Island Indigo, Pretty in Pink and Pink Pirouette.  I do like it but need to be in the right mood to create a another card this bright:)  I hope it makes the recipient happy!!!  Guess what!?!?  I've been mailing cards!  How shocking is that?  It's super shocking to me!

All of the stamps come from the stamp set, Best of Everything.  I just love the saying, "friendship is a great place...i'm glad we're here."  Isn't that sweet?

Love and Care...hostess set

Wow, as I'm sure you can tell, we had a fun and exciting week in Salt Lake!  I am GLAD to be home and really missed Adam and the kids.  I'm looking forward to some down time and hanging around with them!  Hopefully they are excited too:)

Today's card was fun to make....I used Always Artichoke, Marina Mist and Night of Navy.  I don't think I've used these colours together before, but am thrilled with the outcome!

The flowers are rock'n'rolled with Marina Mist and Night of Navy.  If you click on the photo you can see the middle of the flower has some pearls scattered throughout just to add a little bling:)

The background is done using the French Script in River Rock...I think maybe I should have stamped off first, but I'm happy with the effect.

The ribbon is Night of Navy taffeta and Marina Mist Satin.  The final step was just adding the beautiful Antique Brad (I hoard these babies...I really should use them more often!!!)

More Convention

Well, as I'm sure you can guess, it has been quite a few busy but amazing days here in Salt Lake City.  I'm sad to say today is the final day of Convention....we are all having such an amazing time here stamping, meeting friends, seeing friends and of course getting FREE stuff:)

Thursday and yesterday were truly a dream come true for me.  Thursday was awards night which was so much fun.  I was honoured with a few awards from Stampin' Up! which was a huge highlight for me!  I was spoiled rotten with beautiful gifts and recognition!

I have YOU to thank for that accomplishment!  Thank you to my friends and customers that have been supportive, kind and most of all fun!  I love what I do, and because of your enthusiasm and friendship I continue to grow and love what I do!  Thank you for seven great years!  I can't wait to share with you what I have learned here at Convention and to share even more with you in the months to come!!!!  

Thank you to my downline!  The awards I received are also because of YOU!  These awards recognize your dedication and love for stamping and without you this would not have happened!  THANK YOU!!!!

Then yesterday the Convention day was AWESOME!  My classes were amazing and I learned a ton (watch out!!!!)  

Last night was probably what I was most excited for.  I had my Artisan dinner with 9 amazingly talented and kind women, plus 2 concept artists, and two "big wigs" in the company (Amy and Shelli:)  We went to a beautiful restaurant for dinner, swapped amazing projects and had great conversations!  Not to worry, the beautiful projects will be shared sooner than later!  I have so much content for my blog that I could post daily for the next year (or so it seems!)  Trust me there will be lots of fun things to share, once I take pictures of my goodies!

Well,  I should probably get myself out of bed (did I mention the late nights?) and get ready for another fun day!  Thanks for stopping by!  There may be another post today with today's summary for you:)

Quite an Honour

This year I tried something that I have never done before.  I submitted for Artisan.  Artisan is a competition that Stampin' Up! hosts every year that demonstrators submit 5 cards, 3 scrapbook pages and 2 three dimensional projects to.  Back in December, I asked my mom if she would be willing to also enter the Artisan competition.  I thought we could craft together, bounce ideas off one another but most importantly spend time together.  With her retiring at the end of January, we figured it was the right time.  So the two of us worked really hard on our projects and had fun creating together (I think....well, I sure did!!!)  We both completed all our projects in the nick of time.....and then came the waiting.

While on cruise heading toward Alaska, I found out some wonderful news.  I had been selected as one of the ten Artisan award winners this year.  I was completely blown away, and really excited!  I was sad to learn my mom hadn't won, but of course she was super excited for me and really glad that we had this time together!!!  I encourage each of you to consider submitting...it really brought me out of my comfort zone and challenged my stamping.  I had a wonderful time stamping with my mom and sharing this experience with others on my team!  I think it's worth trying and hope you'll consider it!

Tonight is our Artisan Award dinner.  I am so excited to meet new demonstrators and friends!  I'm excited to enjoy an amazing dinner with Stampin' Up! and to learn more about the creative process!  I'll share with you my highlights and of course photos later!  But in the meantime, I thought I'd share with you the invitation that I received from Stampin' Up! for tonight's dinner.  It's very elegant, and I thank whomever created this gem!

Registration Day

Well, I just finished typing up a lengthy post and I got kicked off the computer and it didn't save for me:(  So this will be quick!!!  It's 12:15 here (2:15 back home) and 6 am isn't too far away:)  We had an amazing day today!  I am so grateful to be here with my team and having fun, thank you ladies!  Today was registration day which means it's really a relaxing day that you can do what you like (of course and register!)  We hit the Convention Centre at 9 am or so and basically were there for 12 hours!!! What fun1!!  Here are the highlights:

• beautiful Convention bags with an adorable binder and of course free stamps!
• amazing displays including a wild garden full of paper creations
• meeting new friends (especially lunch with Teneale and Barbara)
• seeing my downline having fun (especially Marja and Sundee that are doing it all and smiling the whole time!)
• playing volleyball with Anne (and others)
• seeing Laura's (a downline) name on the Workshop Wow DVD!!!
• seeing old friends
• the amazing display boards

It's been an amazing day and I will keep you posted on tomorrow's events!!!  Thanks for stopping by and sorry for the brief post!

We made it!

YAY!  We had quite an eventful day, but let's just say we are THRILLED to be in SLC!!!  It is pretty funny that the 8 of us that all were on the same flight yesterday arrived on four different flights (really eight as we all had connections!) within 20 minutes of each other in SLC!  How fun is that?  So we are now 19 strong, and ready for a fun week at Convention!

Today's card is actually for the hotel manager here at the Springhill Marriot.  Justin and his wife are expecting their third daughter in a matter of days so we wanted to congratulate them!  I know the DSP is retired (but remember my order didn't arrive before I left:)  Actually I think this is the sweetest paper and would have used it anyhow!

I also put together a package of thank you cards for them to use once their little one arrives.  I hope they like them!  It's just a little thank you to show him how much we appreciate their wonderful customer service here! 

Well, I'm hoping to share photos with you tomorrow (or even later today) of our first Convention day.....our bags, display boards, lunch with Teneale Williams, garden party and so much more!!!

Half Circle Celebration!

I suppose this title is a little misleading...there is no half circle punch, I just punched the so I only had half come out:)  This is a complete case from my friend Janet Wakeland (do you see the comparison to the pennant one from the other day?)  Similar and cute, hey?

The colours on today's card are More Mustard, Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive and Bashful Blue.  The stamps on this card are Sweets for the Sweet and a greeting one called Smarty Pants (I think that is retired).  Again, this stamp is in my bucket "o" words that I just grab from.

Aren't the pinwheels adorable in this banner?  Thanks Janet for this idea!!!  I'll try and be back today with an update on Salt Lake...if not there will be one tomorrow!!!

Well, first let me apologize that there are no photos as proof of our first day adventure.  Let me start with our morning off....Tracey and I decided to take the Robert Q from London to Detroit together to just save the hassles of driving.  It was well worth it and quite a relaxing trip (thanks Tracey!)  Tracey was actually booked on the 7:15 to SLC and I was to be on the 5:15......isn't she a great friend to travel together.  We enjoyed a great lunch at the airport, wandered around and eventually more of our team joined us (plus new friends Jamilla, Denise and Natasha).  We were chatting away and next thing you know....our flight was delayed.  Ok, that's fine....little glitch.  Ten minutes later the flight has been cancelled and there are no flights being rescheduled.  So there were a plane full of grown men and women racing across the terminal to gate A43 to try and get the "best" flight to SLC.  Once we got there, we were all assigned flights for TUESDAY to get to SLC....really, we wanted to enjoy a day....but safety first.....so here we are in Detroit.

Tomorrow (Tuesday) the eight of us that got "stuck" taking non direct flights to eventually land in SLC....I'm heading to Memphis with a 30 minute layover to connect to SLC...wish me luck!!!!  Some are going through Chicago and others through Denver.  Here's hoping we all end up in SLC by 4 so we can enjoy a night there!

In the meantime, our night has been an adventure.  First we were told we can get our luggage and would take an hour.  Then we went to get our luggage and we were told it would take up to three hours with no guarantees of getting the luggage to us, which could mean it won't arrive at our final destination.  Plan B...no luggage!  So, we headed to the hotel that we were given a voucher for.  We went into our rooms and we all quietly said, maybe it wasn't the place for us (meaning UGH!!!!)  We thought we'd try dinner at the hotel so as we are heading down, Renee and I said truly things could be worse and honestly just as I said that the power went out!!!  REALLY!!!  So it was out for about two minutes and we headed down to the restaurant (that had about 20 customers and one waitress).  She seemed nice enough but WAY over worked and really not too keen or interested SO up we got.

Well, all of this was a sign to us and we packed up our luggage...I mean carry on bags....which by the way, mine has a camera, computer and a magazine....NO clean clothes or bathroom stuff....what was I thinking...and headed off to Springhill Marriott!  (My downline Marja only had her Big Shot and swaps so I suppose I wasn't the worst off!)  We were welcomed here with open arms, a free pizza and a clean comfy room!  What fun!  

Then we had the best dinner, actually the BEST waitress, at the Sportsbar Grill. We all ate amazing meals, had great conversation and truly wonderful staff that had us laughing all night!  Now we were well fed, and on a mission....clean underwear!  There's a Meijer not far from the hotel so we went and did a little shopping to at least feel sortof clean and kept for tomorrow!  What fun!  We truly did have a great night....we had fun together, laughed and it was a great (well, great might be a stretch....but fun!) way to start our Convention 2011 adventure!  Here's hoping Tuesday is a little less eventful!!!  I'll keep you posted!

"Tea" rific!

Today is an exciting day!!!  My team, Simply Stars, and I are heading to Salt Lake City!  Watch out!  There are 20 of us going together to enjoy this year's Stampin' Up! Convention!  Doesn't that sound like fun??  I can't wait!  We are heading down a day early to actually do something in Salt Lake tomorrow...we've been now for three years and never actually seen much of the city!

Now, here goes...this week some of my friends have asked me to post about Convention and to post about our happenings.  So, I'm not promising daily posts, but I am promising I'll try!  I've never really been one to do much updating while away, but I didn't realize you guys (or some of you) like to know!  So there you have it....I'll try:)  (I do have a couple of posts pre programmed, JUST in case!)

Today's card was a super fast card to put together in a fun new colour combination:

• Calypso Coral - 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scored 4 1/4
• Basic Grey - 4 1/4 x 1 scalloped, scallop circle then I just used 5 of the little bumps
• Watercolour Paper - 2 1/2 inch circle
• Markers - Calypso Coral, Riding Hood Red, Basic Grey, Pool Party
• Stamps - Morning Cup (I think that's the name???) and the matching wheel
• Accessories - Riding Hood Red Striped Grosgrain (from the clearance rack), Dimensionals

Pennant Parade and Punch

I really am enjoying this punch!  Isn't it fun???  I envision doing a card with letters on the banners too...just not sure what yet:)  The inspiration of this card came from my friend Janet Wakeland, I loved how she had pinwheels randomly dispersed throughout the pennants.  Isn't it sweet?

The colours on this card are:  Wisteria Wonder, Elegant Eggplant, Pool Party and Blushing Bride.  I love the little bit of pop the Pool Party and Blushing Bride offer to the card!

The stamps on this card are Sweets for the Sweet and Pennant Parade.  The "HB" I think is from a retired birthday set.  I'm horrible with greetings as I keep them all and they are all in a bucket depending on the greeting...thank yous, birthday, Christmas....I think you can never have too many words as sometimes you just need a certain shape or size:)  The "HB" is covered in Crystal Effects just to make it pop "in real life".  

And don't you just love the little bling inside the pinwheels...the new mini brads!  They are so CUTE!  I just love them!  I also pulled out the sewing machine for the banners just to add a little more texture.  I made this card for my Grandma's birthday.....and she loved it (she loves purple!)

This is the card that Emma made for my Grandma.  I think it's bigger on your screen than in person:)  It is done with Wisteria Wonder card stock and she used the Messages for Mom stamp set.  Isn't it sweet?  She of course loved the card from Emma (who wouldn't!)

Extreme Elements

Happy Saturday to you!!!  Can I say I'm super excited about all the new products I've received???  The only BUMMER is I'm busy preparing for Convention and haven't had time to play with the products yet!  Soon....I hope:)  So this card is a little blast from the past.  I hope you stocked up on the Extreme stamp line...the skateboard and guitar are my favourites!

This card was fun to put together.  I rock and rolled the "splat" in the background in Tempting Turquoise and Pacific Point.  The skateboarders are stamped in Daffodil Delight then rolled in Pumpkin Pie then Real Red!  Pretty fun!!!  I love the three toned Rock and Roll!

I cut out the skateboarders.  The trick to between the legs is to cut between the foot and the board and then cut out the white paper.  When glued down, you don't see the seam:)  

I used the pinking heart punch to make the little zig zag border...just a little pop:)

Hope you like the card today!  You could recreate this same idea with the new digger stamp set in the catalogue....oh fun!

Punched art....it's been a while...I know!

I am having so much fun with everyone home!  Not a whole lot of work is getting done, but that's not a bad thing....is it!?!?!  I had a great time at class last night, thanks for keeping me on track:)

I had fun making the snowman card last week with the stamped stripes that I wanted to try it again.  And of course, I used none other than my favourite...Pool Party!!!

This card came together super quickly because it's mostly just punches:)  The scoops of ice cream are from the cupcake punch and the cone is from the new Pennant Punch.  I sponged the ice cream scoops to add a little depth. I ran the punched cone through the Big Shot with the square lattice embossing folder...fun hey!  The cherry has Crystal Effects on it to add some texture as well.

The "happy birthday" is from the Best Dad Ever stamp set.....fun, don't you think?  I love the little bits of red on the card...the brad and the cherry.

Happy FIRST Birthday Nathan!

I am so excited....I am now scrapbooking 2008!!!!  I have 2009 - NOW done!!!  WHOO HOO!!!  Sorry, had to do a little happy dance since my expedited order didn't show up today:(  That's alright though...MDS came to save the night!

Anyhow, this is one of the pages I came up with for Nathan's first birthday!  I wanted to play on the fun bright colours of the cake in the papers and layout.  I think all the pieces come together...hope you like it!  Here's a bit of a summary of what I used:

• to create the background I used the Pennant Punch (in Hello, Baby download) in Whisper White changed to 20% opacity
• Stars - anchored stamp brush
• ONE - leadership download
• title - alphabet punches
• cupcake punch
• paper buttons (brights)
• border strips from a variety of kits

My Digital Studio ... Journal

You know how much I love MDS!  A few of you have been asking to see my actual printed products, so I thought I'd share with you a journal that I made for my upcoming Stampin' Up! year.  

My friend Andrea asked me to do a post on the My Digital Studio.net website yesterday so this is what I shared!  I used the new hostess MDS download called Noteworthy.  Don't you love the colours.....Pool Party (I know, I'm obsessed!), Cherry Cobbler and Early Espresso.  The background of the journal is done using the Downtown Grunge DSP. 

I love making journals, they are a great conversation piece, they can reflect the user and are just a great personal gift to share and use!

On the spine of the journal I wrote Stampin' Up! 2011-2012 (although I know it won't last the whole year...but it's a good start!)

Then you also get to decorate the back of the journal as well....fun stuff hey???

Well, hate to keep it short, but I have to finish prepping for my class tonight...I'm just about there!  Can't wait for the class...Snow Much Fun!!!!

My Digital Studio ... My Little Monkey

Have you missed MDS?  I haven't been sharing too much lately because I've been working hard at getting my pages done for my gallery for the MDS swatchbook!  If you've ordered one of these books from me, I'm hoping my first batch arrives today...I'll keep you posted:)

This is a quick page I put together of Nathan on his first birthday...look at how sweet he is!!!  I love the simplicity of this page....Very Vanilla, Baja Breeze and Basic Grey.  I used the Hello, Baby elements (frames, DSP, pennant).  I used the Baja Breeze Bakers' Twine that the pennants hang from.

I hope you like today's page!  I had fun with it and am jumping back into MDS....I love it and have missed it (although have been enjoying a lot of family time:)

Aviary ... Baby Card

Happy day to you!  I hope you're having a great week!!!  Hair day was super fun yesterday!  It was fun to hang out with Emma and get our hair done together!

My cousin had a baby girl about a month ago, and we got to meet her on the weekend.....I LOVE babies!!!  Thanks for sharing her with us:)

Of course right before my Grandma's party I remembered I needed to make a card...so this is it!  I love this DSP (I know it's retired now...but I had it on hand!)  I love the punch outs on this paper and the scallops came this way!  I thought it just made a fun little back drop for this card.

And I dusted off my Aviary stamp set....yes, I had to dust if off!  Although it's a favourite set, I haven't used it for a while so I pulled it out for this quick card!  The birds were stamped on Whisper White and then cut out (I've been in a cutting sort of a mood lately.)  The Congratulations greeting is from the current Level 1 hostess set in the mini catalogue....isn't it sweet?

I'm hoping to get my little expedited package tomorrow from Stampin' Up! full of some fun new goodies.....I'll keep you posted!  Have a GREAT day!

My Friend

It's a happy day....hair day!!!!  I'm so excited to not only get a visit in with my fabulous friend Christie, but Emma and I are getting our hair done today!  What fun!!!  Can't wait!!!  Emma wants a little colour added to her hair today....we shall see!

I have my downline Jodie to thank for the complete inspiration of this card.  She designed one VERY similar to this at my downline potluck a week or so ago!  Isn't it a great card????

Vintage Vogue

To all my friends south of the border...happy 4th of July!  Hope you're having a wonderful day!  I had a lot of fun making today's card...lots of different elements and stamps on it!

If you click on the photo you'll notice the smaller details.  Check out the middle of the flowers...my favourite part....an assortment of pearls!  Sure makes me happy!  

I like how I used the Four Frames stamp set as well half on top and half on the bottom to "frame" the greeting.

Best of Everything

Don't you love that stamp set name!  I think it's the sweetest of everything:)  First off, can you tell that I LOVE POOL PARTY!!!  It really wasn't intentional but I just keep using it!!!  I do LOVE it!

The other "new" colour in this card is the Wisteria Wonder...isn't it pretty?  It's a grey toned purple and I love it!!!!  This card actually uses two stamp sets, Hello Again and Best of Everything.  Hello Again is a mish mash of everything sort of stamp set, but it's super fun!  I love the greeting, and I love the little tear drops.   You know what else I love about this card....CRUMB CAKE TAFFETA!  I forgot to add this to my top five/six favourite list the other day.....and let's be honest this list will continue to grow and maybe even change!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

Yes, I know I'm a little silly, but it's a NEW STAMPIN' UP! YEAR!!!  Today is the kick off to another great year of fun new products, innovative ideas and FUN FUN FUN!!!  I know you've heard me say it before about other publications, but truly SU has outdone themselves this year.  I am LOVING this catalogue!  I usually have a wish list of stamp sets I'd like (usually about five of them!)  But this year, I have about 15 sets I feel I just HAVE to have!  Crazy, I know!

As I've already said, this stamp set was TOP of my list (and demonstrators could pre order this baby!)  How lucky was I?  If you love this chubby little man as much as I do, I am having a class on Thursday July 7th at 7 pm.  For $32, you will get the stamp set and four cards!!!  How fun!

Anyhow, back to the card.  The colours are Pool Party, Cherry Cobbler and Early Espresso.  I am loving this combination!  I got this idea of stamping the stripes from Jessica's blog directly on the card front.  Then I stamped the snowman and snow ball on the card front in Stazon.  Then I stamped the images again on Whisper White, coloured them and cut them out.  The little snowball and the "splats" falling of the bird ball are actually coloured in with White Gel Pen (I'm not that crazy!)  The rest is as simple as it looks, a few pieces of CS, a bow and VOILA!
