Happy Day to YOU!!!  I have been plodding away at this project and am so excited to be able to finally share it with you!  It is a:

Simple Friendship

It's June 30th!  Are you kidding me???  Where did June go?  I think I lost it!?!?!  CRAZ....eeeeeeeeee!!!   It makes me a little sad knowing this is June 30th!  It's the LAST day of the current Stampin' Up! catalogue!  So if there is ANYTHING you are in need of....paper, stamps, accessories that are retiring, I have an order going in tonight at 8 pm so feel free to email me...you don't want to be sad!

Today's card was one we made at the Bon Voyage party last Friday.  I love the greeting in this set...sweet and simple!

Chic Boutique

I love this stamp set.  I find it easier to use than the other set with the Eiffel tower (forget the name....shocker!)  I find it easier only because I'm a little more whimsical than vintage:)

I will MISS this DSP the most!!!  Yes, it's the Nursery DSP but do you see how versatile it is?!?!?  Don't you love it???  

The colours on this card are Crumb Cake, Perfect Plum and Baja Breeze.  The Baja dress is popped up with Dimensionals and the Plum dress is glued flat on the card stock with a little bling added.

Now you'll notice a little something.....the Crumb Cake ribbon....guess what I think it's coming back (I'm going on memory but it was a happy dance when I saw this!!!)  Are you as excited as I am!?!?  I'm on my last roll (I stocked up when they announced it was retiring and now that I'm almost out....YAY, I get it back!!!)

The cute thing about today's post is I get to share with you Nathan's take on this card.  The other day when I was designing this card, he asked if he could have his "own plastic bag of pieces".  So, I put my card in front of him, gave him the pieces and some snail and look at his ADORABLE card!!! 

I'm not sure what my favourite part is....the upside down words, his cutting or the orange bow.  He thought my ribbon was a little bit boring, so he added a little pop of colour!  He gave this card to my step dad (and Bill LOVED it!)  I love that Nathan did this ALL on his own!!!  Good work buddy!!!

My Favourite Day ... MDS Download Day!

For those of you that follow my blog you know I love Tuesdays!  What's going to be new for today?  I can't wait to head on over to HERE to check out the downloads and HERE to check out what Stampin' Up! is doing with the downloads!  Oh if only I had a few minutes to day to MDS:)  I truly am ADDICTED!

Today's page is all of Mr. Nathan.  He loves playing outside (although you'd wonder with the picture on the right).  I had fun using punches to fill in the stamps (the squirrel and the raccoon).  To make this page I used the circle photos and matted them with white size 6 and then dropped the shadow.  I think I'll add circles behind the patterned circles...not 100% sure yet:)  What do you think?  

The colours on this page are Poppy Parade, Peach Parfait and Pear Pizzazz.  I used a variety of punches to create the middle "piece" on this page.  Hope you like it!  (don't forget to check out the downloads for today!)  Oh, I forgot.....guess what....ONLY ONE MORE LUNCH:)  Have a wonderful day!

Open Sea Take 2

It's Monday and HOT LUNCH DAY!!!  YAY!  You know what that means...only two more lunches to make!  YIPPEEE!  (are you sick of hearing about that yet:)  I hope you had a great weekend, we did...busy, but fun!

During my demonstrator event we talked a bit about how to make good cutting choices when creating.  This is one of those cards that uses card stock and DSP well.  The DSPs on this card both measure 2 x 4 which means I get 18 out of one sheet of DSP.  As soon as I increase one of these measurements my paper count per sheet goes down huge!  

When you keep the DSP to these dimensions you also conserve on card stock.  The card stock measures 4 1/8 x 2 1/8 which means I get 10 out of one sheet of 8 1/2 x 11 paper!  Hope this little tip helps you conserve a little in your cutting!

Birds and Buttons....another fun card!

This stamp set really is sweet!  I love it!  I think I love it so much as we've been really into birds around here at our house lately.  Nathan and Cole especially love to feed the birds (I actually have a scrapbook page coming soon and a video for you:) and we took pictures the other day.  It was actually a funny day as I preplanned the scrapbook page in my mind and knew what photos I needed (how bad am I???)

Oh, back to the card.....this card is a quick and clean card...one that can be reproduced easily and of course would be loved if you sent this out!  The images are stamped on Naturals White card stock so colouring with markers doesn't produce marker lines and you can blend colours just with markers.  Fun stuff!

I added a little bit of grass just with the Old Olive marker to "blend" these two stamps together.  And then the super fun buttons are just threaded onto the Espresso Baker's Twine and then secured with a glue dot.

The greeting is stamped on the little stubby oval (not the official name) and then mounted on a Modern Label that was cut in half and overlapped.

Open Sea

This is a FAVOURITE stamp set of mine (ever!)  I am sad to see that this set does NOT make the new catalogue!  So, you know what that means....you have to order it before the end of August!  This is an amazing "man set" that I really think is a must have for stampers!  Great man sets are few and far between so if you don't have it, think about it!!!

Another great thing about this set is how easy it is to collage stamp.  Random stamping is just as it sounds....stamp like a mad woman!(or man!)  I also think this set lends itself well to use with Word Play.

The matching DSP to this set is "rich" and truly looks great with this set and many other man sets:)

My Digital Studio ... 19 months

A little MDS page for you....you didn't think I could go more than three days with out a scrapbook page, did you?  I sure do love MDS!  I have really been enjoying my camera lately.  Any of you avid photographers?  I don't think it means I'm a good photographer (although my subjects sure make it easy!) BUT I'm learning a ton, and am playing a lot with my camera.  I am trying really hard to play around with the shutter speed and aperture settings and am happy with the outcomes.  I've sold a couple of my lenses so I can invest in a new lense...anyone have a favourite?  I'm a Canon girl and LOVE LOVE LOVE my 55 - 250 and my 50mm.  But I'm going to be getting a good "everyday" lens and my friend Matt has been SO PATIENT with me and I think I've decided but it's always fun to hear what others have to say!  So, if you have any thoughts (good or bad!) I'd love to hear your opinions.

Oh right, the page!  Here's my little Cole man.  He didn't know I was snapping photos as I was using my zoom lens (with a 5.6 aperture....why the background is fuzzy) so I love the innocent look on his face.  A friend of mine sent me a page (I think from the 2peas website) and wondered if I could create something similar in MDS (I love these challenges so feel free to send me any pages you LOVE and would like to see in MDS).  

The background paper is from Blueberry Maine DSP, the Pumpkin Pie DSP is the striped DSP and the banner is full of textured card stock.  I created the DSP behind Cole's photo with the punch numbers.  They are all filled with Small Polka Dotted DSP in Old Olive, Bashful Blue and Pumpkin Pie.  The "journal" box is from Write Stuff and I added the DSP and scalloped edge and arrow with the brad.

Happy Little Day to you!!!

Good morning! Let me start by apologizing for the photo quality of this picture...it's a little grey:)  BUT in saying that, it's a cute little quick card!  What do you think?

I used the notes wheel in Pear Pizzazz along the bottom, Baja Breeze in the middle and Perfect Plum on the top.  I stamped the level one hostess set from the Summer mini catalogue....isn't it sweet?

The ribbon is Certainly Celery Grosgrain and the buttons are from the Subtles Button pack.

Quick card to match the quick post!  I may be back later today with an MDS page:)  We shall see, need to do some baking for tonight's Bon Voyage party!

Thank you Terri!

So, I really didn't think I'd have any MDSing time today as I had plans in the morning with friends and I have been helping Karen with her math for her exam tomorrow.  BUT, children don't always follow my schedule and Nathan was SICK this morning.  So while he laid on my lap, and Cole amused himself for a very long time (a long time for Cole is like 20 minutes!) playing cards, I went to the MDS website.  My friend Terri posted the most adorable page on her dog Bella CLICK HERE TO SEE IT.  I loved it and knew I had the perfect photos for the page.  Because all the work was done for me, I decided to completely copy her page (thanks Terri!) and get one done in about 10 minutes today!!!!  YAY!!!

Summer Splash

It's Thursday!  Yay!!!!  Nathan is thrilled to be having some friends over to play (and I have the moms coming....which makes it fun!) AND we're down to four more lunches!!!  WHOO HOOO!  Can you tell I'm super excited??  I love summer and can't wait to have everyone home!  Just imagine the photos I'll be taking when I have 5 subjects at my beck and call:)

Today's projects were fun to put together in preparation for the summer!  A fun little travel pack.  Did you know we sell the clear stamp set cases and they make super fun project ideas!!!  This is a case that holds a bookmark, a few thank you cards and then we printed off some BINGO cards.  Each of the kids have one for our road trips this summer.

The octopus were stamped in Pumpkin Pie and then rock and rolled (edged) in Real Red.  The turtle is stamped in Tempting Turquoise and rock and rolled in Pacific Point.  Each of the components were cut out (a little tedious but I love to cut!)

I hope you like these ideas for this super sweet stamp set!  AND maybe, just maybe, it'll help put you in the mood for summer!!!  Can't wait!!!

Snow Much Fun!

I know, you've been patiently waiting for a few sneak peeks (I read your emails:) I'm excited to share with you my FAVOURITE NEW SET!!!  When I first saw the catalogue this was my NUMBER ONE stamp set I wanted to order.  And then on June 1st when SU released their preorder for the new catalogue I squealed when I saw this set on the preorder!!!!  Isn't it SWEET????

Another page for you:)

Guess what!!!  I took pictures today of stamped projects, so I've got a few days of new and old stamped projects for you:)  Can't wait!  In the meantime I thought I'd share an MDS sneak peek for you!  This is the "funnest" (yes, I said FUNNEST!) kit so far I think!  It's a hostess set in the next catalogue called Noteworthy.

You can see a sneak peek of the new In Colour, Pool Party as well!  Isn't it yummy???  All these papers are in the kit as well as some fun embellishments and borders (see the scallop at the top and the yellow rick rack on the bottom....cute, eh?)

The other embellishments on the page are Deck the Hall Buttons, stitching, Daffodil Brads, Staples and the punched alphabet!

It's Tuesday....Tuesday....gotta get MDS Downloads!!!

OK, so I have that silly song "Friday" stuck on my head and therefore my title is me humming along to that song while typing:)  I really should get a bit more sleep:)  I have a ton of projects to share with you, just have to get my act together and photograph the hand stamped ones.  In the meantime, I thought I'd share some of my Father's Day book the kids and I made for Adam on Sunday.  Now, it is a little backwards, but we did the book on Sunday and shipped it off to SU first thing Monday so we'll get it next week.  But I wanted to use pictures from Father's Day for the book so therefore he'll get it a little late:)

I got this idea over on the MDS website (www.mydigitalstucio.net).  Sara Douglass posted a project like this a few weeks back and I just loved how clean and crisp the book turned out so I had to do the same!  For Sara's book, she had the book printed and then had each of the kids write in Sharpie marker their reasons for loving their dad.  I thought this was a great idea as I'm a sucker for little people printing!

BUT Emma and Mark both thought they'd rather it be in "type".  Because they were both so good with helping journal their thoughts I let them "win" this one:)

Aren't the journaling boxes fun?  I love the simplicity of the pages, thank you Sara!  I like how the black pages match the dark backgrounds the photos as well!

Happy Father's Day!

Well, I'm a little late on the get go this morning, but hey, that's alright!  I just wanted to wish you all a wonderful day with those you love!  I do enjoy Father's Day, as it's a special day for Adam to feel appreciated by the kids and myself.  Although, I hope he knows that he's appreciated every day (well just about:)  I love our simple routine on Father's Day.....let Adam sleep in, make breakfast in bed, share the crafty gifts from the kids and then just hang out for the day!  Easy Peasy....and enjoyable!!!  I hope your day with family or friends are just as wonderful!  I will be back a little later with the projects my kids have made (mostly on their own this year!) as well as a few other things:)  So, enjoy your morning and if you can I'd love to have you check back!!!

We survived!!!

I am really enjoying Emma's age (well today:)  Actually, even though we can have some rough patches and the emotions are sometimes a little perplexing (I'm sure for the both of us) I think that I am really going to enjoy 11.  It was SO MUCH fun watching Emma and her friends just hang out....they were complete goofballs in the backyard tumbling, stunting and just being plain fun!  They were giddy and LOUD at times, but that's normal (or it seems at our house) but it truly was a nice night...one I'd repeat!  So in light of my "nice" night, I'm up bright and early ready for a post!

I really enjoy this card, I find it to be soothing and easy on the eyes:)  The colours are Soft Suede, Baja Breeze and Not Quite Navy with splashes of Vanilla.  This stamp set is called Greenhouse Garden (and it is NOT retiring).  BUT the greeting is retiring....Hodgepodge Happiness (just a GREAT greeting set!)

I like the rounded corners on the card elements, I think they add a little extra something to the card that sometimes I forget about:)  Well, hate to keep it too quick, but I must get breakfast started before the girls wake up hungry:)  Have yourself a wonderful Saturday!

My Digital Studio....Just Hangin Out

Well, I am organized....shocker, I know!  Emma's "birthday party" (a month late!) for her and a few friends is tonight.  As I said earlier I really tried to skip it this year, but with missing her birthday while in Alaska I really felt the need to do this.  Emma has a few new friends this year as my kids started at a new school so I think it's important to have them here at least once before the summer so they can get together in the summer together!

ANYHOW, as I sit here by myself (I know, another shocker - Nathan and Mark are playing, Cole is having a drink and Adam and Emma are out grabbing one last thing) I thought I'd share an MDS page I did last night.   

Earlier this week I took the boys to a FABULOUS park in Strathroy with Barb and her boys.  It really is a GREAT park and probably we could have spent more time there had Nate (Barb's little one) and Cole not been falling asleep in the swings!  I have had this idea to do a clothesline scrapbook page for a while now and finally I figured out to use the Digital Tape from Downtown Grunge as the "clothes pegs" for this page  I wasn't sure what to use, and I am happy with the final "look".  The lines are the Bakers' Twine (Crumb Cake), the clouds are from Sunny Days kit (comes with the program), the letters are from Calendar Alphabet, the Monkey is from Nursery Images and the Birds are from Cheep Talk.  It was a bit of a time consuming page as I made the letters look like they are interlocked.  I used "-" on my keyboard at a large font size to cover up unwanted portions of letters.

Friends Forever...

This is not a usual style for me, but it was a fun card to make!!!  I was completely inspired by Fanny on this card...she is funky and bold...and these are words to describe this card!

This card has a lot going on...black embossing, clear embossing, sponging with Melon Mambo and sponging with Basic Black.  The of course the bling...pearls and the scalloped edge that looks a little fabric like.

Can you see the clear embossing on the DSP?  It lets the words show through and just adds that little something!

Sorry it's such a quick post, but it's a busy day around here today....planning Emma's birthday party!  Can't wait!!!   Make it a good one!

My Digital Studio ... a couple of pages

Happy Thursday to you!  Well our day was off to a "funny" start...I could say rough, but truly I have a wonderful life so I can't complain.  I tend to get "weather" headaches (Adam makes fun of me and says I should change up my day job to make weather predictions:) so this morning there was a headache just waiting for me....no big deal, take some medicine, have a shower and get on with the day!  Then Emma and Mark were all ready for school (easily this morning....) and either they missed the bus, it was delayed or didn't show up.  Not sure, doesn't matter but off we went to take them to school this morning.  Then we head off to the bank and my bank card doesn't get returned from the bank machine!?!?  So, what do you do when the bank isn't open, there's a line up of cars behind you in the drive thru bank machine.....well, I made sure the transaction was complete, let the cars know behind me, tried the bank's front door (that was locked and no one in site) and have returned home:)  I called the bank and all is well...just another "funny" thing to add to our morning.  So now that the boys and I are home I'm looking forward to Lego and some snuggles!!!!  Hope you're morning is off to a great start!

Now, the real reason you come visit...some creative inspiration.  A friend of mine (thanks Sue) emailed me a photo of a really cute scrapbook and asked if I could recreate something similar in MDS.  Now, this isn't exact and I'm sorry I don't know a link or the name of the original inspiration, but here's my take on it.   This came together surprisingly fast and any of you MDS users out there with the original program you can make most of this page!  The clouds and DSP are from the Sunny Days kit.  There of course are a few add ons, but the majority of this page anyone can do!!!  YAY for that!  This is Nathan this week....he is turning into quite the little man, very expressive, sweet and full of life!  We are really enjoying him in this stage!

This second page is Nathan at 1!  When I was working on this page last night I was really excited to find these photos of Nathan (from 2008)  Adam couldn't believe I let him have such "dorky" hair (those are his words) but I think it looks adorable!  This page was created using the Lucky Star embellishment downloads, some Bakers' Twine and a few punches.  The original inspiration for this page came from the upcoming Idea Book and Catalogue for Stampin' Up!  I have altered it a ton (really nothing looks similar except for the tasteful trim borders:)

Clearly For You

This stamp set is one that we received at Leadership and I have to say prior to that event I wasn't a huge fan.  Then at Leadership we made some really sweet make and takes and I started to loosely "like" the set.  Well, the other night I decided to challenge myself and pull out this set and I have to say I think I may just be falling in love.  I love the details and tiny elements that have been put into this set.  They all "match" and just look sweet on a full card or on a tiny stamped project.

There are lots of little details on this card tat I'll highlight for you:

• the half embossed edge of the card
• the shimmer with Blushing Bride ink and clear embossing on the back drop to the bevelled window
• the bevelled window
• the shimmer on the butterfly layer
• the soft torn paper on the upper flowers (we ripped the paper so we had the fuzzy inside showing)
• the ruffled taffeta ribbon

Again, LOTS of details on such a tiny card (well, it's 4 1/4 x 4 1/4)

Fabulous Flowers

Thank you ladies for a WONDERFUL class last night!  It was so nice to chat with each of you and create together!  Thank you!!!!  I look forward to round 2!!!  (are you up for it....I won't keep you until midnight.....he he he!)

So, onto the card!  This one is done using the Fabulous Flowers stamp set in the Summer Mini catalogue.  Isn't it a beauty!  When I googled this stamp set, one created by Sandy McIver came up and I used this as my spring board for my card (thank you Sandy!)  

The flowers are stamped in Stazon ink.  Then we coloured them in with Crumb Cake and a blender pen.  Then we stamped the words from the set (the earth laughs in flowers) over the flowers and cut them out.

The rectangle under the flowers (thanks Joanne for the reminder:) is done by inking up my clear block and then stamping it on my Very Vanilla cardstock!  how fun is that!?!?  I know, it's been around forever on the internet, but sometimes I'm a little slow....okay, a lot slow!

I love all the tone on tone on this card.  We edged all the paper in the Crumb Cake ink as well.

OK....a little sneak peek:)

Happy Monday!  I hope you had a WONDERFUL weekend!  I can't believe we are almost mid June and Emma has already started back into cheer, there are two weeks left of school and only 2 and a bit weeks left of our current Stampin' Up! year!  WOW, I think I lost a few months in this past little while...anyone else feeling this way?

I know I said I was going to wait to show you sneak peeks, BUT I also know you guys are bad and are scouring the Internet finding all sorts of fun projects!  SO, I thought I'd share this little gem with you....isn't it sweet!?!?  Do you know why I love this...yup....A NEW PUNCH!!!!  Any of you wonderful stampers out there that already own Party This Way..this is a must have!  But Stampin' Up! wouldn't be Stampin' Up! if they didn't have a super cute NEW set to match the punch as well:)  Now, the only stamp I used on this card is the star from the new set called Pennant Parade....I hope you like it!

Bold Blossom

Good morning to you!  I hope you've had a great weekend so far!  As I quickly expressed in my post last night, I had a GREAT day yesterday!  Thanks to my mom and Emma, our demonstrator day went smoothly and I had a ton of fun!  Thank you again to those of you that attended.  I was so happy to make some new friends, chat with demonstrators and of course watch you stamp and create!

My Digital Studio ... Beach Babe

It's Saturday night and boy did we have a fun and busy day!!!!  I hosted a demonstrator event today and I had an AMAZING time!  Thank you to each of you that gave up your Saturday to spend it with me:)  Thank you!  I'll post more details tomorrow, but for now I wanted to share a page I made tonight.

The thing I LOVE about this page is that you can duplicate this in "paper mode" or on My Digital Studio!  Isn't that fun!?!?!  

This Nursery DSP is retiring in "real life" (in other words, in the Designer Series Paper) but remember you never run out and nothing retires in My Digital Studio!!!

Sparkly and Bright...will miss this one!!!

I know, it's stinkin hot and the last thing on your mind is Christmas BUT check out the retiring stamp sets!  This is my FAVOURITE retiring set EVER (even more than Mr. Twigster)  I love this set and will not be selling this one!!!  What about you....do you love this set!?!?!  What set are you most disappointed about losing (well, not losing....cause you have until the end of the month to get the sets!!!)

I used the Jolly Holiday DSP on this card (1 x 4 and 4 x 4 and 4 x 1 1/8), Very Vanilla card stock (4 1/8 x 5 3/8, 2 1/2 inch circle, Decorative Label Punch), and Early Espresso card stock (5 12 x 8 1/2 scored at 4 1/4, 1 1/8 x 4).

This ribbon is YUMMY!!!  AND ALL of the 5/8 inch ribbon is retiring!!!  So if you like this ribbon get it NOW!!!!

Hello Again

This is one sweet little stamp set.  I love making 3x3 cards with this set in fun summer colours!  BUT I wanted to get out of my comfort zone and create a full sized card with these images.  I paired the stamp set with the retiring DSP, Nursery Suite....not just for babies!

I know, I know...more sewing, but I'm having fun with it!!!  I love the look of the sewing on the card!  

The heart and greeting are stamped in Early Espresso on the Whisper White.  Before stamping them though I used the ABC background stamp just to add a little detail.  I love the little Espresso scalloped piece along the top...just adds a little something:)

Sorry for the brief post...off to have a busy day of errands and last minute details!  If my boys cooperate and nap at the same time today I may just be back with another post this afternoon:)

Sorry, back to my page.  I love this photo!  It's from Emma's birthday and it's our "local" and closest cousins.  We really are lucky to have Adam's sister so close to us.  Emma and Monica are only a year apart and are wonderful friends.  Matt and Karen are amazing with all the kids...so we really are lucky!

We didn't "plan" this photo and they were all pretty colourful which made it tough to scrapbook, so I changed the photo to Sepia and used it with the Downtown Grunge download (I'm getting lots of use from this download!)  I just made the picture measure 6 x 12, added the title, used a few stamps with opacity of 40% and a little journaling.  Again, another quick page, but I'm thrilled with the final look!  Hope you are too!!!  Thanks for stopping by!

You're a Classic

Now correct me if I'm wrong, but I do think this stamp set was only here for this year!  It's too bad as it's a "classic":)  I love the "fancy" car (that's about as much as I know about cars....it's prettier than any car I've ever owned or ever will own:)

This set is pretty simple to use, meaning you don't need to add too much to make a cute, classy car!  The image is stamped in Staz On ink, then coloured in with Poppy Parade.  Then on top of the Poppy Parade I dabbed on the Illuminate Top Coat Smooch Pearlized Accent Ink and then let it dry.  Then I used my colour spritzer tool and sprayed a few splashes of Poppy Parade on the Whisper White card stock.  

I love the little scraps of the In Colour ribbons (Peach Parfait and Poppy Parade) sticking out the side of the card.  They are still "manly" but add a little pop!

OH yeah...it is Tuesday...you know what that means....MDS DOWNLOADS!!

Just Buzzin' By....

This may just be one set that I can't get rid of.  I don't keep many stamp sets when they retire, but I bought this set to make cards for my brother...Uncle Buzzy.  Then when my brother and his wife had their sweet baby Augusta, I did some baby cards with this set...I think I'm too attached:)  I do love it and think it's just too darn cute!

The colours for today's card were completely inspired by Teneale Williams' card on her blog the other day.  The black and Daffodil just popped and I knew I need to do this!  I've also been having a lot of fun sewing on my cards this past week.  I really want to get started on a sewing project I have in my mind....maybe after the big demo event is over on Saturday:)

I used Daffodil Delight and More Mustard ink with the blender pen to colour this card.  It's tough to see but I used the smoosh paint on the wings of the little cuties.  The flowers are punches with the itty bitty punch pack in the DSP (the DSP is from the summer mini).  I hand drew the clouds and then added some black details on the Espresso branches (tried to mimic the stamp set).  And then the final touch is adding the pearls in the middle of the flowers.  Hope you like the card!

My Digital Studio ... Love You

Friday was a PD Day around here so I took the kids to the beach with a friend.  It wasn't a typical beach day, a little cooler than I would like, but that never phases a child!  Emma, Mark, Nathan and Cole all had a GREAT time!  I was so pleased that Cole didn't love the water.  I envisioned the trip being me in the water stopping him from going too far for the entire day.   But ankle deep made him happy (and me too!!!)  My goal while at the beach was to play with my 50mm lens.  I love this little lens...it's perfect for individual shots.  I didn't realize that this lens could go to a 1.8 (for you camera geeks like myself out there you'll get what I mean...I'm just learning though:)  ANYHOW, after researching my lens I knew I had to play.  So, you'll be bored of my photos I'm sure, but this is one I took of Cole (love the butt shots:).  I altered the photo in iPhoto just to "antique" the photo (level 1) and beyond that it's a simple MDS page.

I used a vintage overlay on the photo in Early Espresso and altered the opacity to 40%.  The LOVE is done using the font 2 peas gift and the "you" is done using Scriptina.  I added the Frames with Love Decorative One stamp in the bottom left corner and altered the opacity.  The top right uses the digital tape download and a few antique brads.  It truly is a QUICK page.

True Friend....Simple Friendship

I do love this set!  The samples in the current catalogue have got to be a favourite of mine.  I just love the clean crisp look (we actually did the catalogue card at club quite a few months back...remember ladies:)

Anyhow, I am really sad to see this one going!  I love the elegant flowers and butterfly.  Plus the greeting is a favourite!  If you haven't checked out this set, you may want to:)

This card is made using Marina Mist, Basic Grey and Very Vanilla.  To do the ribbon, I used the seam binding trick on this wide ribbon....find a few of the thread ends and pull.  It will naturally gather and then secure it to your card front!  How fun is that!?!?  

Another thing I noticed (took me a while) but it was pointed out to me that we are not going to be carrying any of the 5/8 inch grosgrain ribbon in the new catalogue so if there are any colours that are a must have....these are only while supplies last!

My Digital Studio ... Downtown Grunge

I have been feeling a little behind in my MDSing lately (although I've been doing a TON of it!!!!)  I finished my Alaska book and got it sent off during the 30% off sale (thank you SU!!!!)  I'm super excited to get this and check it out!  I'll share more pages (not to worry:)

In the meantime, I've wanted to do a little catch up on the past few months of things I haven't scrapped.  These photos are from Emma's birthday gathering....notice there isn't a cake?  She wanted a big cookie instead:)

This page was created using the Downtown Grunge kit and template and then I added the photo on the right, changed a journal box to DSP, added my own title and journaling and VOILA I have a page....under 15 minutes!!!  How fun is that???

Nursery Suite DSP and Accents

I am in LOVE with this paper and these colours!  I am embarrassed to say that this is the first time I've used the Accents....how bad is that?  They were on my first order last July, but I have just enjoyed starring at them for months....sick, I know!  So, I figured no time like the present I better use them (so I'm sure you'll be seeing them again this month!)  The colours and the patterns in this paper make me really happy....it is so soft and beautiful and doesn't have to be baby.  I've got a second card today to showcase the paper in a non baby card.

So now, I just need someone to have a darling little boy:)  (wait....there's a whack on my team that are pregnant....he he he:)

The banners were made with 1 1/8 inch pieces of the dotted DSP and then I used the Postage Stamp punch to get the sweet little end on the banners:)  Aren't they fun?  I also had lots of fun sewing on this card....straight stitch around the edge and then I used the zig zag stitch on the banner top and along the green border strip:)  Fun!

My other sample card was done in February using none other than the Aviary stamp set!  It has got to still be in my top five of favourite sets (no shocker there I'm sure!)  The colours on this card are Pretty in Pink, Pear Pizzazz, Early Espresso and Baja Breeze...YUMMY!!!!  The Marina Mist ribbon makes the colours pop as well!

My Digital Studio ... not even TWO

What is the world coming to?  Two posts in one day!!!  It's been a while for that one:)  BUT I've been having fun doing a little MDSing before bed so I thought I'd share a page with you this afternoon.

It's funny that this page is so "simple" yet took me a while to create.  The "not even" and the "and you can turn on the tears" are done using the rough type alphabet stamp set.  The word "two" is from the Top 10 download.  I then just changed the opacity of the title as it worked it's way down the page.

Well, normally this time of year I am super excited about the upcoming catalogue and new, fresh ideas.  But yesterday when I started going through the MASSIVE list of retiring stamps I got a little sad.  Not sad because I"m not excited (because I am!) but sad because some of my favourites are retiring!  So rather than playing with some new things I thought I would showcase a retiring stamp set a day....as I have a lot!  So as I pull them of my shelves, I'm going to make my final card with them (although I do think I may just be keeping a few of these sets!)

Always has been a favourite of mine because of my downline Martha.  She is uber talented and has created the most beautiful cards and tiles with this set.  So, I blame her for falling in love with this set:)  Thank you!

Now, I did say I wouldn't be working with new....I should have clarified....I meant new stamps:)  Do you see anything out of the ordinary on this card?  How about a new shade of purple????  Yes, it's a new in colour!!!  And how about the coordinating ribbon????  Don't you just LOVE it!?!?!  I do!!!!

This card uses the level one hostess paper (In colour DSP and the lighter shade of purple in the Concord Crush is a perfect match!!!!)  I also am using Pear Pizazz, a little bit of stitching and all the stamps are from Always.

I thought I'd share another card I made using this set from years ago, but it's still a favourite!  So, when compiling your wish list of retiring sets, maybe this one should be added:)  Have a great day!

It's that Time of Year Again!

Can you believe it?  June 1st!!!!  Well, if you've been a stamper for a while, you know what June 1st means:

RETIRING LIST HAS HIT THE SHELVES!!!!

For those of you that are new, this means that Stampin' Up! is preparing for the release of their next Idea Book and Catalogue!  BUT in order to have a new beautiful book full of amazing products, they need to make room for new stamps, products and so much more!  SO, each year they release a list of stamps and accessories that are going to retire.  What does retire mean?  NO LONGER available as of June 30th!!!  That's right...GONE!  So what does this mean...you need to act FAST!  All accessories and wheels are first come, first serve.  Once they are gone, that's it!  Things could sell out tomorrow, or last the whole month - we don't know, we only know when they are gone!  As for the stamps, you have until June 30th to select your favourites from the long list of fabulous sets!  These will be available all month but after June 30th, they are gone!!!  You can bet that you'll be seeing these retiring sets OVER USED in the next few weeks on my blog as there are many I'll miss (Just Buzzin' By, Sock Monkey, Extreme Guitar and so much more!!!)
