Thank You Neighbour.....

Happy Monday to you!  I hope you had a wonderful weekend.  Our weekend was a little bit sad, but it's great to have family to get you through.

Our very good friend and neighbour passed away earlier this week and there was a service from the family yesterday.  It was wonderful to see photos of Roy and his many adventures he had in his life.  My kids (especially Emma and Mark) were very close to Roy and did so many fun activities with him like building bird houses, feeding chipmunks and swimming.  Roy was so unique....he built us "Roy the Tree Man" (for my local ladies, that's the creepy dude outside my front window:) and he has a staircase leading up to a tree with a rope swing coming down.  He was just such a sweet and generous man.  We will miss him so much but the time we did have together will be cherished.

Roy was an animal LOVER.....this is by no means an understatement.  Last summer, he found a wounded blue jay and so he built a 6x8x8 foot aviary to try and help the bird heal.  When this didn't work he took the bird to Salthaven Wildlife Rehabilitation.  He and his wife Eleanor were wowed by the services and talent that were at this centre.  CLICK HERE FOR MORE DETAILS

At Roy's memorial service, his family was asking for donations to be made to Salthaven Wildlife Rehabilitation.  We made this donation, but Emma and Mark wanted to do more.  So, we came home and made cards to sell with all proceeds going to this wonderful cause.  This was a wonderful way for Emma, Mark and Nathan to give back.  Mark and Nathan were in charge of all the punching (and there was a lot of it).  Emma helped with the cutting and stamping and I put the details together.  It truly was a team effort!  We were able to complete 24 cards (and can make more if there's a desire:)  So, we are selling these cards for $3 or 4 for $10.

My Digital Studio ... adventure

I hope you are having a GREAT weekend!  Ours has been busy....shocker, I know!  The kids have had "friend time", practices, homework and so much more!  It just seems sometimes things just don't slow down:)

I'm pretty excited about this page!  I think it's the colours that make me happy....Crumb Cake, Rich Razzleberry and Basic Black.  Not something I would have originally thought of but it just sortof fell into it.

I really like how I did my title. I used the brackets and title from the Thoughtful Overlays.  Then I added my own text behind the title to just add some interest to the title.  Then I used the same font in the journaling and created the black text boxes for my "story".  

The tags on the top left are the new download Tag 3 I think with a little stitching and a brad.

Aviary ... Friends

It's FRIDAY!  Gotta love Friday!  I will say this week has FLOWN by!  It was super busy with all the clubs and classes this week but I enjoyed it, thank you!

Today's card is inspired by my friend Anne!  Anne stamped her bird cage and popped it up and I just thought that was so darn cute!  I used the Nursery DSP to create this card and get my colour palette.  (I do love these colours!)

My Digital Studio ... Those Eyes

When I got my Stampin' Success (a demonstrator only magazine we get each month....super fun perk to being a demonstrator!) I fell in love with a scrapbook page layout!  I originally thought I was going to case it exactly (as MDS has all of the options) but as I got creating, I changed up the colours....but kept the layout.

I love the simplicity of this page!  I used Baja Breeze as the background colour.  I then used the stamp (Day of Gratitude) in Whisper White and changed the opacity to 20%.  I used the Nursery DSP below the photo and a Nursery Border under the photo.  

I just LOVE this photo of Cole!  It melts my heart his big blue eyes and dragging around his blanket behind him.  It makes me happy:)

So Much Chocolate So Little Time

Thanks for stopping by again today!  Today's card is a complete case from my friend Susie!  Susie made this card for our shoebox swap at our last downline meeting.  Isn't it great!!!!

I had to come right home and make my own...can you see why?  I love the bite out of the corner of the card!!!  

The colours on this card are Chocolate Chip, Very Vanilla and Marina Mist. I used the Chocolate Chip marker to colour the stamp so only the chocolate is on the card front.

My Digital Studio ... Colouring Eggs

This page was a ton of fun to put together!  It was super quick as there really aren't that many elements to this page.  The only thing that took some time was lining up the brads.

I love the colours on this page.  The background is Kraft (Crumb Cake) and then I used Pacific Point, Tempting Turquoise, Pumpkin PIe, Tangerine Tango and Real Red.  I matched the title colours to the brads as well.

To make the fun little arrow embellishment I used the square punch for the left side of the arrow and then I used the large arrow punch for the other portion.

Triple Tier Slider Card

Thank you already for the super kind emails and comments!  I'm excited to share my news that I'm a featured tutorial girl (I"m sure there's a better word for it) on Splitcoaststampers today.  The ever so sweet Beate contacted me a few months back asking if I'd share this card with you.  She was so patient and kind with me and I hope you love the final results!  

I called this card the Triple Tier Slider Card, however, it can easily be adapted to have even more tiers.  If you follow the same pattern, making each tier slightly smaller than the first you can make this as big as you like!

One thing I've learned with these cards is that using DSP as your layer bases make it slide easier than using card stock.  If you use card stock it becomes very thick very quickly which in turn makes it a little more difficult to slide.

There are lots of fun ways to create a "pull" for this card.  For this sample, I used a bow with the super sweet fabric brad.  I've made others using a tab punch or ribbon ends.  I can't wait to see what you come up with!

My Digital Studio ... 2nd Birthday

I am having way too much fun scrapbooking "the past".  This is a page from Nathan's 2nd Birthday!  Hard to believe he'll be FOUR next month!  I will say though he hasn't changed much from these photos compared to the baby pictures I shared the other day.

My goal when I share an MDS page is to try and show you or teach you something new.  I'm always looking for inspiration in layouts so hopefully when you see my pages you either get a layout idea or learn a new trick:)

The lines on this page are from the Thoughtful Overlays download.  I think this is one of my favourite downloads...it has great titles, lines, brackets and so much more!  I encourage you to check it out!

My Digital Studio ... Thanks for your help!

A Slice of Life

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this current level one hostess set!  It is ADORABLE!!!  I'm not sure which is my favourite image...the onesie, the coffee cups or the plant.  Or the cake....hmmmm....it's a GREAT set!

This card was a complete CASE from my downline Marja.  Isn't it adorable?  I loved the simplicity of the card and can't wait to make a few box sets of these using a variety of stamps.  I think these would make cute baby thank yous....need someone in my life to get pregnant....any takers?

Mystery Night!

It's that time again!!!  I can't give away too many details but what I can share, I will (I know, I'm evil!)

My Digital Studio Morning ... You & Me

Happy Tuesday morning to you!  I hope you had a great long weekend!  We had a VERY lazy day yesterday .... lots of couch time, snuggles and snacks!  Super fun!

This page is very clean and simple.  I think it's missing something in the top left corner though.   I'm open for any suggestions you may have!  I really want the focus to be on this picture but I think I may need to add a little something.  You?  I love the photos of Adam and Nathan (especially the top photo).

Grunge Rock .... Teen Card

Happy Family Day to you!  As you can see mine has been off to a great start....I got to sleep in today!  I love having the ability to sleep in as it rarely happens....although now that I'm "old" (Emma's words) nine is about as late as we get:)

Today's card I think is appropriate for that awkward preteen/teen aged card....maybe even for a boy.  You know when you're making a card for an "unknown" (not family) and you want it to be "cool" and accepted....well, maybe this card will do:)

It only uses the stamp set Grunge Rock with Stazon, Crumb Cake and Cherry Cobbler.  I added some black splattering with the Colour Spritzer (LOVE this tool!) and some sponging in Crumb Cake.  I also dragged the paper edges in the Basic Black ink pad.

This card is designed to hold a gift card or cashola.  It is 5 1/2 x 8 1/4 scored at 2 3/4 and 5 1/2.  On the last panel of the card, I cut off the top portion to create the little pocket.

My Digital Studio ... Time Together

Happy Sunday to you!  I hope you are enjoying a wonderful weekend!  Today's scrapbook page was inspired by my new online friend Leah.  I did a page the other day using a circle as my background and showed how to use the DSP and fill it with multiple patterns.  So then on the MDS site, Leah took this to the next step and wanted to fill the circle with multiple photos.  She discovered a great way to do this using punches...but for me would have been too time consuming.  So I thought I'd try the same technique I use with the DSP and do this with photos.  And voila, it worked!!!!  I can't wait to see what Leah now comes up with:)  

In all seriousness, the MDS site (www.mydigitalstudio.net) is an AMAZING resource for ideas, inspiration, tutorials and so much more!  I encourage you to add it to your favourites and stop by!  It's well worth it!

Today's page is from March of 2009.  The colours make me very happy!  They are Not Quite Navy, Tangerine Tango and Early Espresso.  I know, not the norm, but fun don't you think?

Petal Cone Lantern

Nathan and I had a ton of fun making this today.  Nathan LOVES to play hide-ane-go-seek.  When Adam and I play with him he typically hides in the same spots and we of course make a big deal of it.  When he plays with Emma and Mark they play for "real".  They hide in dark, "scary" places so Nathan needs a light.  He was using a flashlight but wanted a flashlight to hang.

SO, we decided to make him a lantern!  This Petal Cone lantern idea came from my friend Anne that made a beautiful Valentine's light with vellum.  SO, I took her original idea, tweaked it for our purpose and voila!

The lantern is made out of the thick window sheets.  I cut two of them out and Nathan then stamped them (with a little help:) with StazOn using the monkey from Fox and Friends.  To get the middle ban, I just ran a sheet of Night of Navy through the Big Shot and then cut it down to size.  Nathan then helped embellish the front (love his "N").

To make the top of the lantern I used the Scallop Square Duo Die (bigger size) and the Pizza Box Die (so not the right name but I forget the right name right now:)  I poked a hole in the bottom of the box and through the scallop square and we have a battery powered little light poking through.

I hope you like our little creation and you too can create a hide-and-go-seek lantern....or better yet a banner made with these would be ADORABLE!

My Digital Studio ... Our Wonderful Life

I am so stinkin excited to share my page with you today!  I am learning that scrapbooking truly is emotional.  As you create a page and really start working with photos your memories and feelings really come to the surface.  I can remember this day so well!  My friend Matt came over and did a little photo shoot of Nathan while Emma and Mark were at school.  He fell asleep under the tree in the yard and that was the end of the shoot!  But looking at these photos I can't get over how much my boy has changed!!!  He looks nothing like this anymore:)

Although this page looks very simple, it actually took me a while to create.  All of the embellishments on the top of the page are from the NEW Nursery Embellishments .... the circles were either solid in colour, or were white with a coloured circle around it.  So any of the circles with "more" I added other embellishments or matching stamps to add some more "wow" to the embellishments.  The also used the circle punch and filled them with DSP on a few of the circles as well.  

The "our wonderful" is a text box (with CK KOTM1 font) in Baja Breeze.  The "life" is from the Thoughtful Overlays in Pear Pizazz.

A Whole Lotta Buttons and Dimension!

I hope your day is going well for you!  Today's afternoon post was completely inspired by Brandi Wiggins.  She is so super talented and I saw a super cute (way cuter than mine!) card on her blog that I just had to try.  This wouldn't be a card I'd be mailing (well, I suppose you only pay the "extra" postage once....not per button!)  Anyhow, I was happy with the fun bright colours that were inspired by the SAB papers (Ice Cream Parlour!)

This is just a quick post...Nathan, Cole and I are heading for a nap....CAN'T wait!!!!

My Digital Studio ... London Heat

Do you ever make something that gets you super excited?  Well, this page did it for me!  I wasn't sure about the colours, or getting "flames" on Emma's cheer page, but I'm so happy with the way it turned out!

I think the best part of this page (my favourite part) are the expressions on her face. For those of you that know Emma, this isn't her "norm".  She isn't one for being too expressive but when she's competing her "cheer faces" rock!

Sorry, I'm going on and on about Emma....but I'm a proud Mom:)  

This page came together really easily....I used a rectangle punch and filled it with Cherry Cobbler.  I then matted it in Pumpkin Pie and rotated it 6 degrees.  The text at the bottom of the page is Arial in Pumpkin Pie.  The HEAT is in Arial.  I did each letter individually so I could centre the white letter on the Cherry Cobbler letter.  The white letter is size 144 and the Cherry Cobbler is 160.  The London is written in CK KOT font in Pumpkin Pie.  The "paper piercing" under the photos is done using a period and a text box.

My Digital Studio Hybrid Project

Happy Wednesday to you!  How has your week been going?  I'm hoping I'm home with no extra kids today:)  Emma was home sick on Monday and Nathan was sick yesterday.  Here's hoping for some happy healthy kids today:)

Today's card was inspired from my friend Mandy Grant.  She did a great video on the MDS site on creating a hybrid project.  I made this card using MDS.  Isn't it sweet!

To do this I printed the three elements (front of card, Wide Oval and Thank you) on Crumb Cake card stock.  Here are the steps I did to create this card:

1. Use the Notably Ornate Stamp set and create the frame to measure about 4 inches tall.  
2. Add the bird over the frame.
3. Select punch - Modern Label
4. Fill the Modern Label with the stamp of choice (I used a Thank you and the decorative label).
5. Delete the Modern Label Punch as you will punch it out "for real"
6. Select punch - Wide Oval
7. Fill the oval with the stamp of your choice.  
8. Delete the Wide Oval Punch (remember you'll punch it out for real:)
9. Go to Share and then Print.
10. Print off these elements on Crumb Cake with black ink.
11. Cut the card front to 4 x 5 1/4.
12. Punch the Wide Oval.
13. Punch the Modern Label.
14. Attach the Glimmer Brads to the Wide Oval.  Fold the ribbon tucked behind the Wide Oval and attach to the card front with dimensionals.
15. Punch out the Modern Label and attach with Dimensionals.

My Digital Studio ... Love Birds

This kit is ADORABLE!  There is DSP, embellishments and stamps that all "go" together.  LOVE IT!!!!

This page is from 2009 of Emma and her friends enjoying a popsicle in early April in summer clothes!  (Here's hoping this year will be the same....the rate we're going it will be snowsuits for another six months!)

Are you wondering how I have a circle with 2 DSPs in it!?!?  Well, let me tell you:)

I created a circle with a punch the size of the background.  I then paper filled it with the white DSP.  After it was filled, I double clicked on the circle which brings up the "work station".  I dragged the paper to the left so the DSP doesn't cover the whole circle.  I then copied my circle and pasted IN PLACE.  I then filled the second circle with the striped DSP and sent it to the back.  And voila....a circle with two DSPs:)  Have fun with this trick:)

My Digital Studio Hybrid Project

I have been having a ton of fun with creating My Digital Studio hybrid projects.  What does hybrid mean?  Well, it means I created a project using My Digital Studio, printed it off at home and then created a 3D project with it.....

This week is teacher appreciation week and I volunteered to make a little treat for each of the teachers' mailboxes.  But I didn't think I'd have the time to make 45 "real" stamped creations so I created an MDS project instead.

Here are the steps to how I created this:

1. I created a punch that measured 3 3/4 x 2 in MDS and this was my "work area".
2. I then inserted a rounded square and filled it with Basic Black.
3. I then used a vintage overlay stamp, shrunk it right down to be the same size as the rounded square punch and colour changed it to Whisper White.
4. I then used the Schoolbook Stamp set (I forget the actual name) and inserted the abc in Basic Black and the 123 in Kraft.  
5. I then copied and pasted the pattern and put 8 on a page.
6. To make the little tag on the bottom, I created a 1 3/4 inch circle with the circle punch.  Filled it in with a stamp from the same school set.  I changed the colour to Cherry Cobbler.
7. The stars are Summer Sun and are from the stamp set Extreme Elements.  
8. I copied an pasted these circles so I had 20 on a page.
9. I then printed the images off on Stampin' Up! Confetti White Card Stock.
10. I cut out the main image then used the Spiral Edge punch along the edge, mounted it on Basic Black and then made the little folder from Crumb Cake.
11. The thank you was stamped and then punched out with the Modern Label punch and popped up with Dimensionals.

My Digital Studio ... Trampoline Fun!

Hope you had a great weekend!  We sure did!  Emma did GREAT at her cheer competition yesterday and her team did a great job performing!  It was a lot of fun.

Today's MORNING post (yes, there will be an afternoon one:) is a My Digital Studio page from 2009.  Look at how little my Nathan is!  I can remember this day and remember the joy he had on this first "play of spring" with Mark in the back yard.

This page was fun to put together.  I used Basic Black, Soft Suede, Pacific Point and Bashful Blue.  I hope you like it!!!

If you click on my photo and zoom in....check out the "stitching" on the Pacific Point rectangle and beside the journaling.  I used the DASH and created a text box for the stitching....how fun is that?

Bliss Journals

Well we are having one busy weekend!  What fun we had yesterday at Emma and Mark's wrestling tournament!  We were in Waterloo for the day and we had a great time watching Emma, Mark and Monica (my niece) wrestle in their first tournament of this year's wrestling season!  They all did GREAT!!!  Mark won a match against a boy he has never beat (YAY!), Emma wrestled strong and also beat a "tough unknown" and Monica rocked her weight class with a Gold!  So it was a super successful day!

Today Emma and a friend and I are at a cheer competition in Guelph!  SO, if you've been emailing me, I will get caught up......I'm sorry I've been neglectful!  AND today is my mom's birthday!  Can you believe it....but we're pretending it's not today...rather Friday so when you see her card up late in the week it's really because Friday is February 13th (just play along:)

This is one of the Stampin' Up! journals and we created a fabric book mark with it in my fabric class a few weeks ago.  It uses the stamp set Bliss (Sale-a-bration...my favourite set!), the Springtime Vintage DSP, Baja Breeze, Always Artichoke and then of course the Springtime Vintage fabric!!!  I hope you like it!!!  Thanks so much for stopping by today!  Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Petal Cone Die Card

Happy Saturday to you!  I hope you had a great week and are looking forward to a great weekend!  Ours is a busy one, but fun family time....right?  We shall see!  Cole is at an interesting age right now...he is my most demanding of my four children at this age.  He loves to explore and investigate and really is fine with wandering off anywhere any time!  SO, it will be interesting to see what happens this weekend at our tournaments:)

Today's card is a fun one...and guess what?  It uses the Petal Cone die!  Isn't this sweet!?!?  The card itself is the Petal Cone die and the ice cream started as a 3 1/2 inch circle. I hand cut the bottom, did some sponging in Regal Rose as well as Whisper White, added a little sparkle and VOILA!  Isn't that fun?

Well, guess what....it's a card we're making at the Petal Cone die class!  I still have space if you'd like to come....it'll be a fun one:)

My Digital Studio .... I can't get enough!

I know, are you sick of seeing my kids yet....am I scrapbooking too much?  Well, tough:)  Kidding!  As you can see I've got another beach page for you:)  These past few day's scrapbook pages have all been from the same beach trip but I just loved too many photos to only do one page.  BUT I can promise you that the next MDS page you see from me will not be from the beach:)  Deal?

I LOVE this DSP on this page!  I have mixed a ton of different elements and stamps on this one page.  The DSP is actually Halloween....how fun (I thought the colours matched Mark's shorts really well!)

The "details" stamps are from the Hoppy Memories kit....how cute?  The stamps are from Always (yes, the super elegant stamp set.....the scallop with the matching dots is from that one) and then of course Extreme Elements.

Happy Birthday to a Classic

This card is a "manly card".  I struggle with the boy cards but am really happy with this one.  The colour combination on this card is Night of Navy, Pumpkin Pie and Bashful Blue.  I love how intense the white is with these colours.

I know....some of you are asking...what is that map stamp from?  Well, it's a little sneak peak from the next mini catalogue (I know TOTALLY unfair!) BUT we were given this at Leadership and the stamp set was calling my name to be used.  I couldn't resist....Don't you think that putting the age of the card recipient in the sign will be adorable...I mean manly?  OK, I really shouldn't write my blog posts too late...I'm a little silly now:)  Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you enjoy the video!  Have a great night....I know I will....I get to be with my downline tonight!!!!

My Digital Studio Mornings ...

It has a ring to it, don't you think?  I had some time yesterday and some good scrapbooking mojo so I got a few pages done!  So, why not do MDS morning and then a handcrafty afternoon?  

Thank you so much for all the kind words that you shared with me yesterday on the petal cone box.  I had a number of emails and requests on how I put it together.  I tried writing it out....BUT really wasn't making sense....SO I'll do a video for you soon:)

In the meantime, I'm pretty happy with this page!  I love how I matched the text and heart to Nathan's swim shorts.  It's a magical button in MDS...MATCH COLOUR!  Love it!

The DSP on this page is from the 2011 Notable Calendar set and the Geometric Lines DSP.  The photos are mounted on the Top Note die and the accents at the side are created with punches, except for the Crumb Cake seam binding.

Petal Cone Die Box

Thanks for stopping by AGAIN!  As I said, Nathan and I have been crafting machines, but actually getting around to posting is a whole other story:)

This project is one of the ones we'll be making at my Petal Cone Die Class on Thursday Feb 24.  This is such a fun die with ENDLESS possibilities for boxes and cards!  I can't wait to share more with you!

This is my swap from Leadership that I made.  I didn't actually swap them out, but I made a bunch for some of my Stampin' Up! friends:)  Nathan and I filled the boxes with chocolate covered pretzels.

My Digital Studio .... Nut!

Yes, that's me!  A My Digital Studio NUT!  I am having far too much fun with the program lately.  I was on a bit of a lull because I'd run out of current pictures to scrapbook.  SO, I prepared pages I know I'll need after this weekend and left the photo boxes empty.  And then I remembered my little (ok, BIG!) MDS goal for 2011.  I want to have my scrapbooking caught up from 2008 to the end of 2011!  Wow, what do you think about that?  Here's what I've got done....2010 - DONE and printed!, Sept - Dec 2009 - DONE and printed!  So, that means while keeping up with 2011, I am going to back track and finish off 2009 first!  SO, I did the very labour intensive job of going through my 37000 pictures and finding the ones from the beginning of 2009!  So, I haven't gotten them all, but I have a lot of them and am ready to tackle the job!

This page is from the summer of 2009...look at how small my munchkins look!  I can't believe how much they have changed!  I am going to have fun scrpabooking years ago (and you'll be sick of me saying...look at how they've changed:)  

This page uses the Leadership DSP....isn't it FUN and great!  I know some of you are resisting this paper because you didn't go to SU Leadership...but you didn't have to to enjoy this paper!  The font is the new Vintage Lower and then the "Top Note Journaling Block" is from the Write Stuff Embellishments.

Birthday Card Class

Happy Tuesday to you!  Let me start my post today thanking all the ladies that attended my Bliss class last night!  I had a wonderful evening and it was great seeing you all!  Thank you!

My Digital Studio ... Texting Friends

I got to stamp and MDS this past weekend so I thought I'd share a page that took me HONESTLY seven minutes to put together!  How wicked awesome is that?  You know why it took no time?  It's a template!

All I did to the template was add the two photo boxes on the left, the crochet ribbon and antique brad on the bottom left of the page.  I then did the title and journaling and VOILA!!!!  Seriously, all the hard work is DONE for you!

I LOVE MDS and I love the ease of it all!

I do have to laugh at this page.  Emma and her friend Kate got a new "app" (I am so old school it's ridiculous....app, what the heck is that?)  Anyhow, this "app" enables them to text on an iPod....WHAT?  Anyhow, it was hilarious.  They were standing side by side, reading each other's iPods but texting one another:)  Too cute!  I hate how much our girls are growing up....yet, I have to accept it and enjoy it:)

Springtime Vintage Fabric Card

Well, I hope you had a wonderful weekend!  The football game was exciting last night, although not the outcome our house was rooting for:(  (There's always next year right...and the next year....and the next year:)

I love the gentleness of this fabric and the print.  We had a ton of fun at the fabric class this past week and this is one of the cards we made.  The print on the bottom of the card is actually the fabric....fun, eh?  Then of course the flower is made of the fabric with the scallop circle.  The edges are frayed and pulled to give it more depth and texture.  I hope you like it!!!

Here is a quick recipe:

• Rose Red - 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 scored at 4 1/4
• Always Artichoke - 4 1/8 x 5 3/8, Jewelry Tag (2), 1 inch circle
• River Rock - 2 1/2 inch circle, Jewelry Tag
• Stamps - Always, Tiny Tags
• Embellishments - Vintage Trinkets, Antique Brads, Rose Red Seam Binding, Springtime Vintage Fabric

Sew Suite....

Happy Super Bowl Sunday to you!  It's going to be a fun day around here (I hope:)  Adam is a HUGE Steelers fan and has been for the 20 years I've known him!  So, needless to say you can guess what's going on at our house tonight!  I don't mind....munchies, family and football (and maybe a little MDSing....).  Can't wait for the half time show!

Today's card is a fun fold!  I love it!  My friend Monica Gale has a video on her blog showing how to put this together.  Basically I use a 4 1/4 x 9 3/4 inch piece of cardstock.  I score it at 5 1/2 so I'm left with a 4 1/4 square piece on top.  Then score on the diagonal.  The you create your card however you see fit, just make sure you pop up your inside greeting or image to hold the easel open for the card:)

This card uses Old Olive, Pacific Point and Tempting Turquoise.  And I just wanted to use buttons and my sewing set.....so voila!  You have a "thanks sew much" card.  I hope you like it!  Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a WONDERFUL day and have fun watching the Super Bowl (if you're into that:)

My Digital Studio ... Thoughtful Overlays

I have finally completed my niece's birthday page.  I've redone it three times and love this one.  It took me a few attempts....another great feature of MDS!  I love that there is an undo button, and even a delete button and nothing but time has been invested.

This page is super fun as I use the new download, Thoughtful Overlays!  This is the title and also the super fun overlays on the photos.....aren't they neat!  There are like 20 different stamps in this download (or there abouts) and titles too!  AND all that for like $5!  This is a GREAT download...probably one of my favourites.

The other new download I used on this page is the Leadership DSP.  I love the theme of +ONE and I thought it was appropriate for a birthday page (+ONE year:)  Cheesy, I know!  The colours are also super fun!

(Check out the amazing cupcakes my sister-in-law made for Monica for her birthday....aren't they GREAT...hamburgers and french fries.  The photos would have been better in colour, BUT there were a lot of different colours and this is where I struggled with my other pages:)

Springtime Vintage Fabric

I am loving the Stampin' Up! fabric right now!  This card was super simple to put together and was one we did in our fabric class last night.

I pre-sewed the fabric on the card front for my "girls".  The rest of the card is super simple, but I think the elements of fabric, buttons and pearls make it pretty fun!  I hope you like it!

Today's just a quick post for you.....lots on the go.....getting my hair cut (I am so stinkin excited!)  It doesn't take much, does it?

Punch Bunch....LOVE it!

Happy MORE SNOW day!  It's crazy, I can't get over the amount of snow we've been getting!  We had a snow day yesterday, but we did nothing fun!  I was flat on my back on the couch....feeling HORRIBLE!  I'm hoping it was only a one day thing as life is "back to normal" and I'm home with the boys today.  We shall see:)  

In the meantime I want to share a sweet card that I cased from my friend, Monica Gale again.  She is one talented stamper!  I loved her colour combination and wanted to modify her card to a 3x3.  I am loving the 3x3 cards right now, just the perfect size for a little note for someone special!

This card uses the stamp set, Punch Bunch (from Sale-a-bration!)  I would have loved to use the friend greeting in this set, BUT I ordered the Spanish version by accident:)  Not a big deal:)  So, I used the word Enjoy from the sweet word set in the mini catalogue.

Sweet Valentine Treat

Wednesday already!  Can you believe it!  I am starting to wonder where time goes, because it goes FAST!  I do have to laugh though, time in my world seems quick, but to Nathan it is turbo speed as he was asking today when Christmas is!  Too funny!

Today's project is a Sonia creation.  My good friend Sonia brought this little treat over the other day and now I HAVE to make these with my kids for Valentines Day.  Isn't it sweet?  

Here are the "quick" instructions for this (not to knock Sonia's efforts, but these will come together quickly....my favourite kind to reproduce!)

1. Use the Big Shot and die cut out two Basic Black Scallops.
2. Use the Big Shot and die cut out 2 circles of DSP (this one is Love Story....or something like that:)
3. Glue the DSP on the paper.
4. Punch out the Full heart in one layer.
5. Lay the punched out heart on top of the other scallop as a template and punch out the heart on the other scallop (so they are lined up).
6. Fill up the sweetheart cups with treats:)
7. Peel off the back of the hearts.
8. Stick them together.
9. Attach the scallops together.
10. Embellish with the banner and attach a "hanger".

 I love the greeting in this very clean and simple stamp set.  It's adorable and CHEAP!  Seriously!  $15.95 for a clear stamp set...how great is that?  I used the "baby" DSP for this card and for the colour combination.

I've got Baja Breeze, Pear Pizazz and Early Espresso.  The flowers were all stamped on the Whisper White and then they are popped out at different levels using dimensionals.  The rhinestones just add a little bit of bling for this card as well!  

I hope you like it and makes you think spring....maybe.....it's good to dream, right?  As pretty as the snow looks in our backyard, I'm okay with seeing green sooner than later:)
