Well I have to say that yesterday's weather sure felt a little festive....cold and windy! I thought for sure while I was sitting at Mark's football practice it was snowing! Needless to say, it wasn't the most pleasant and the weather is a changing:) I'm hoping for a couple more weeks of great fall weather....need to get some family photos done and of course we love a warm Halloween!
OK, enough babbling, onto today's card! I do love to make intricate and detailed cards for everyone, BUT at Christmas and when it's time to mass produce, it's nice to have clean and simple. This card is CASED from one of my swaps at Founders. I switched it up a bit to call it my own but the layout is not an original:)
Here is the recipe for this card:
- Early Espresso - 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scored at 4 1/4 (the front 3/4 was run through the Big Shot to get the Polka Dot impressions)
- DSP - 1/2 x 5 1/2, 3/4 x 5 1/2 (great way to use scraps!)
- Very Vanilla - Decorative Label Punch
- Cherry Cobbler - Decorative Label Punch
- Ribbon - Victorian (5 1/2 inches)
- Inks - Early Espresso
- Other - Dimensionals
If you didn't want to hand cut out the dec. 25, you could easily punch it out, punch the matching one with the Cherry Cobbler and cut it in half. Then just have the Cherry Cobbler layer stick out the top and bottom to add a little mat, and some great appeal!
I hope you have a wonderful day! I'll be back again tomorrow! YIPPEEE, it's Saturday tomorrow!!!
Take care,
Heather
