So, please tell me by now you've had time to DROOL over the beautiful new Stampin' Up! catalogue! Isn't it amazing? One of my favourite sets has got to be the level 2 hostess set, Apple Blossoms. I love the simplicity of the stamp set, and it's funky look! I can't wait to make a million and one teacher gifts with this set! I know, I know, you think I'm nuts, but I've already started!
I was disappointed with my lack of organization this past year and appreciation for others at times. Emma and Mark have WONDERFUL teachers and staff at their schools and I wish I had sent more of the "token gestures" throughout the year. So, on the last day of school I had a few minutes to myself and I came up with this little box set of cards. Aren't they fun!
These were QUICK to put together. I made 6 cards and a box in about a half hour. So, now I just have to make a little tag, wrap it up in a cellophane bag and I've got one teacher thank you done:) Isn't that perfect! And what teacher can't use a little "just a little note 4 u" card? Can't wait to make more! Here is the quick recipe:
- Crumb Cake (yes, the same as Kraft:) - 4 1/4 x 8 1/2 scored at 4 1/4, 3 1/2 x 3 1/2 corner rounded on the bottom right and then dragged in White Craft Ink, 1 1/4 inch circle, Word Window
- Cherry Cobbler - 1 3/8 inch circle
- Dimensionals
- Apple Blossoms Stamp Set
- Crumb Cake Ink and Cherry Cobbler
- Versamark and White Embossing Powder
I hope you have a wonderful day and I appreciate your stopping by!
Take care,
Heather

I very much appreciate your sketches and until now failed to communicate that to you. My apoligies. I have been a visitor to your blog now for several months and it's become a frequent "go to" for the sketch ideas. Thanks so much.

So cute! I'm wondering how you made the little box, is that with the big shot or did you just score/cut it? thx

Cute and practical as always! I agree with you about sending litle thank-yous to teachers, they have an enormous job and are so instrumental in helping us to shape our children. Would love the dimensions of the box.

Hey Heather,
Just wondering if SU! products had to be used to play along or does it matter? Thanks :O)

Heather I am so excited that you are back to posting your sketches! I loved playing along and missed them. I figured you were on a break as you spend time with your family and get ready for convention.

I think that you make more Teacher gifts in today's age than we ever did when our kids were in school, or at least it seems like it. I love this Box with Cards idea, and it doesn't only have to be used for Teacher's, it is easily adaptable to any other occasion. I am in love with the colors Kraft (Crumb Cake) and Whisper White mixed with just about any other color. It makes for such a wonderful combination, don't you think? Thanks for sharing this project with us. I am sure that it is one that I am probably going to try to duplicate sometime in the future. I have it Bookmarked. Your idea's are just awesome, girl. You Rock!!!
