Well, you'd never know it but I've been going nuts with sewing lately. You'll be seeing more on my blog over the next few weeks. The scallop square is just an amazing tool for sewing. The worst part of sewing for me is the cutting and measuring and this sure takes all the guess work out of it! I had to laugh when I was in a really sweet quilt shop last week, I saw that there is a "Big Shot" for sewing (different manufacturer and has bigger dies) but I thought it was neat to see. I have actually been doing some applique as well with the Big Shot you'll be seeing in the near future!
Anyhow, today's card was made to match the bag. I am SO lucky to be visiting with a dear friend this weekend (will fill you in on details later) and I can't wait to share this with her. I wanted the card to "match" the purse and rather than have a busy pattern, like the purse, I wanted clean and simple.
Can you guess what the stems are from? Yes....the bird's legs in Good Friend! I didn't have a flower stem that was thick enough to go with the buttons, so I used the legs upside down, and voila! I hope you like this card!
I didn't realize until attaching the picture here that the purse is undone in this picture. I used the big red button from the playground buttons as the close on this purse.
Here is a video for today's card:
I hope you have a GREAT Thursday and I can't wait to "see" you tomorrow (if you're Canadian, you'll for sure want to stop by tomorrow:)
Take care,
Heather

Hi !
this is the first time I am posting in your blog, but I am a regular, I visit your page everyday. We are having a stormy day, snow, high winds, -17ÂșC so I am going nowhere and decieded to make some cards for the upcoming birthdays in my list and I love this card, clean, fast, elegant and just the right colors. Love your videos. Can't wait to see what you are going to show us tomorrow.
Thanks for shering your time and your talent with us.

Another great card Heather. (Love the purse too.) Can't wait to watch the video - they are WONDERFUL (especially for those of us who are so visual.) I too can't view it. Thanks for another great idea. I'm not from Canada - but still can't wait to see what yo uhave in store for tomorrow!

Love the card, as well as the purse. Very lucky friend indeed. I can't view the video, it says that I have to accept your request to be a friend. Whatever that means? You are so much an out of the box thinker, birds legs for flower stems, now who else would come up with that one? Good going. I laughed when I read it, thanks. Are there going to be any PDF's for the MDS Class? Please note that my email changed. Thank you, and thanks for always sharing your wonderful creations with us no matter how busy life gets. You are truly a treasure. A day without you, is like a day without Sunshine.
