The Sweet Treat cups in the current holiday mini are very versatile and lots of fun!  My favourite way to use them of course is with candy treats, but some people just don't love the sweets the same way I do:)  I made this card for my grandma.  As strange as this sounds, she has come to expect two cards each

year for Halloween.  One on or before the day and then a follow up card about a week later with a photo of the kids.  This will be the "follow up" card!

I love how she embossed in white directly on the DSP.  However, we had a few newbies last night (which are always the best because you were so full of energy and spunk...thank you!)

Falling Leaves with Chalks (Pastels)

Alright ladies, it's time to pull out those chalks, dust them off and put them to good use!!!!  I really love using my chalks but often forget about them!  The wonderful thing about the chalks is you get all 48 colours in one great package.  It's a wonderful way to get access to all the colours!

This card was done using the stamp set Falling Leaves and I used Versamark and sponge daubers with the chalks to get the colour.  Check out the video for a "refresher" or maybe a new technique on using the chalks!

Serene Snowflakes Class and Video

I have to appologize that I am IN LOVE with the shimmer paint in a bottle!  I have been spraying it on almost everything:)  I really wanted to use it with my all time favourite snowflake stamp set...Serene Snowflakes from the current holiday mini class!  It is a beautiful and elegant set! 

This card is one that we will be making in my Serene Snowflake class on October 6th (there are spaces available if you'd like more information).  I cased it from Jo at Founders circle (sorry she didn't have a blog address on the back of the card)  I switched it up a bit but I fell in LOVE with her colour combination....Rich Razzleberry, Bashful Blue and Pale Plum.  Isn't it beautiful?  Rather than using 2 way glue and glitter, I wanted it all to shine so I used the shimmer paint (this time in white:)

The great thing about this card is it would make a fabulous card to reproduce in mass quantities for Christmas!  It's simple, yet elegant and a unique colour combination which would stand out!

NEW ONLINE CLASS and Cold and Cuddly with....guess....shimmer paint!

I am so excited to share my good news with you today!  I know it's last minute to announce but I know you'll be excited and waiting can be so hard sometimes:)  I have a NEW ONLINE CLASS starting October 1st!!!!  It's called Simply Holidays! 

The class will consist of 20 projects, 20 PDFs and 20 videos. The projects will all be geared toward the upcoming Christmas season. The class will run from October 1st to the 20th (baby permitting:) If for whatever reason the baby comes early and as a surprise there may be a day or two delay:)

The class will have an assortment of gift giving ideas as well as gifts for yourself such as home decor. If you are a Stampin' Up! demonstrator, you are more than welcome to use any of the ideas for classes and share with your customers. If you are a paper craft lover, this class will also be perfect for you as you can create your heart out and hopefully get some great gift giving ideas that will work for you this coming season!

The class is $20, which is a steal....$1 per project!  If you have ever purchased or looked at any of my class planners, you know that they sell for much more and these projects will be unique and of equal calibre!  I hope you can join in the fun!

This layout for a card is a fun one to try.  It is the large scallop die for the Big Shot, and when I run it through the Big Shot, I lay my seam of the card just shy of the top of the die so it will fold open.  It's such a simply technique but makes this die multi purpose:)

This stamp set makes me so happy, I just love the little critters...shocking, I know!  The colour combination is bright and fun as well, to help cheer up some of those dreary winter days!

It's hard to see here, but the Whisper White Circle, Melon Mambo and Basic Black card are all sprayed with the shimmer paint spary (check out my post a few days ago on this technique).  IRL

(In Real Life) this looks so fun and glittery, like the sun is glistening down on the snow!  I also used a lot of Dimensionals on this card to add some height and difference between the background and the stamped objects.

Witch Box....LOVE IT!

I can't take credit for this box.  BUT you know me and my punches, I love them!  My downline Janey sent me a link Gretchen Barron's blog  (CLICK HERE)and she had the cutest little Halloween boxes.  Now hers were made using the Top Notes die, but this month in my club I am featuring the Fancy Box die for the Big Shot.  So I switched it up just a little bit and ended up with this!  I love it!  I thought she was just too cute!

The hat was made with my Fiskars cutter, except for the rounded edges of the hat that I used the corner rounder on.  The eyes are the 1 inch punch (eyelids too), the eyeballs are the 1/2 inch punch (wart too), the nose and mouth were made using the large oval punch.  Can't wait to fill this little box with treats!

Here are the basic steps:

1. Sponge each piece of cardstock with the corresponding ink colour.  I used Green Galore on the Gable Green
2. The hat was a 3 x 3 square that I cut into the triangle (measure 1 1/2 inches on one edge and cut to each opposite corner)
3. The rim is 3 1/2 x 1 1/4 and then I rounded the corners
4. The Lovely Lilac ribbon is 3/4 of an inch thick.  Attach this to the triangle portion of the hat first, then trim before attaching to the rim
5. Put adhesive on the back of the rim and attach the hair.  Trim after the hat is attached to the box and curl by wrapping it around your gel pen (or any other round object)
6. Attach the eyeballs to the eyes
7. Attach the eyelids
8. Attach the eyes to the box
9. Attach the nose, wart and mouth to the box
10. Assemble the box

ANOTHER way to use the Shimmer Paint!!!! Spray it!!!

Glenda, at Founder's had a beautiful swap card that had Handsome Hunter shimmer paint!  Well, she's one SMART COOKIE!!!  She developed a little recipe on using the Shimmer Paint (in the Holiday Mini catalogue) and Rubbing Alcohol to make a Shimmer Spray Paint!!!!  Isn't she just too smart!?!?  So, I decided to make Bashful Blue shimmery paper for this project.  Now I know it's tough to see in this photo, but it really is sparkly and beautiful!  It actually is just as shimmery, if not more shimmery than the shimmer white cardstock (that the snowman and greeting are stamped on!!!)  Check out the video for all the tips and tricks!

From the Crypt Meets Night and Day!

LOVE this designer series paper from Stampin' Up!  Isn't the black and white just perfect for Halloween!?!?  It could also be "dressed up" for a classy look, but I wanted spooky!

This little bag was really fun to make as it has the Sweet Treats Holder inside the bag as an added bonus!  The video today shows you how to make the Sweet Treat holder reusable, by making a little "garage door" in the back so the candies can come out easily without having to rip the paper.  Which also means, if you get a craving, you can take a little snack and refill it later:)

For this bag I used Elegant Eggplant CS (12 x 6) for the bag in the Fancy Box die for the Big Shot.  Then I ran a small piece of the DSP, Night and Day through the Big Shot to get the same scalloped top on the paper as I have on the bag.  I used the 1 3/4 inch circle punch to make the hole for the Sweet Treats cup and filled it with the Halloween M&Ms.  Check out the video for full instructions!  (If you're in my template club meeting on Thursday, this is one of our projects:)

Spooky Expressions!

 

Well, I'm off to the races now!  Adam said once I'm home from Founders Circle, Halloween can come out and fill our house!  Now I will do it slowly (maybe) but you'll see more and more Halloween creations and home decor over the next few weeks.

I appreciate all your comments about my videos and now that I am done with the Simply Holidays Punch class (I'm sad it's over as it was TONS of fun!) I will be doing more videos!  It's tough to do one a day for that class and one a day on

my blog.  BUT since many of you said you just want to "see" what I'm doing and it doesn't have to be crazy and new, I'm excited to offer more videos.

Christmas Jingle....Simply Scrappin Planner!

I'm so sorry!  It has been a while since I have posted my Simply Scrappin' Planners!  I do them once a month with my clubs and for some reason have forgotten to post them!  Anyhow, I thought I'd share with you one of the nine pages included in this month's Simply Scrappin' Planner...Christmas Jingle!  REmember, that when I do these kits, I have 4 double page layouts and one single (this is the left side of a double page layout) 

Oh a side note, isn't Chubbs, AKA Nathan just too cute here?!?!  Where has the time gone????

How the planner works, you will receive a PDF with a detailed chart with exact dimensions for all cardstock, DSP and photos.  You then have a photo of each page with any specific instructions.   This is a perfect way to get a class prepared quickly or to whip off 9 pages in no time (ask my girls, they were here for about an hour!) to help finish off some of those scrapbook memories!!!

I appreciate the emails and comments you left about My Digital Studio.  I promise as I learn more about the program (at Founders, I have a class all on this!!!) and more about the printing I will update and inform you.

I decided for my first book, I am going to make a Cottage Through the Years for my Grandma for her birthday.  The cottage was built by my grandparents and another couple in 1969 and it has become an amazing treasure for all of us.  I have never missed a summer goign to the cottage (and hopefully never will:)  I have so many wonderful memories from when I was a child, and I think Emma and Mark are starting to form those as well.  So I thought I'd create a book that documents the past 5 years at the cottage.  Then for Christmas I'll do the five years before that and continue to work backwards so hopefully I can give my Grandma a series of books that will be the family journey over the years from the cottage.

In doing this little project, I have had Emma and Mark share some of their favourite memories with me and also help me pick out pictures that are meaningful to them.  I am going to create my book so the two pages opposite one another will coordinate in colours, but the entire book won't be matching.  So, these are the first two pages we made....with the stars of the cottage....the chipmunks!!

Founders Circle Update!

Let me start by thanking YOU, my valued blog readers and wonderful friends, downline and customers!  I appreciate all that you do and have really enjoyed the past five years of stamping with you!  I am currently at Founders Circle and while laying in bed the other night I kept thinking of so many of you.  I am here because of YOUand I really appreciate that!  I am so grateful for your support, encouragement and friendships, thank you!  I thought I would share with you a little bit of the Founders Circle world!  You'll be seeing  alot more photos in weeks to come as I scrapbook the memories but I wanted to share a few

things with you today.

This first picture is my new friend Karen. 

She is also a Canadian demonstrator, from Alberta though.  She is so sweet and a veteran at Founders Circle so she has really taken me under her wing this week (as has Josee...thank you!) 

This next picture was an optional event, to go to the Tuacahn Amphitheatre and see AIDA.  WOW, is all I can say!!!  We were in this canyon (that's Red Rock and real all behind the stage) and saw the most amazing performance.  At one point, water came down from the mountains and flooded the stage....UNBELIEVABLE!!! 

This last photo was taken today at a park that Stampin' Up! provides all the rubber for.  We're standing on rubber, that's what the playground is full of!  This is where we had our YUMMY lunch after visiting the stamp manufacturing plant in Kanab (which was .... WOW .... if you want to hear all about it ask me next time you see me...when you have a few minutes:)  Anyhow, these are all the Canadian demonstrators that earned Founders (but we're missing Nancy and Kristina....we missed you:)  Love this photo...check out the mountains in the background.

Simple and Quick Build-a-Roo

This was another card we did at my class last week.  Again, the layout was cased by a card on Splitcoaststampers.  This was the quick and simple card (the last one of the night...right ladies:)  I thought I best do the moving card near the beginning and leave the simple one to the end!

The image was stamped on watercolour paper and then coloured in using markers.  I tried to show different methods of using an outline stamp in this class (markers, watercolouring, paper piecing)  I love how the greetings fit so perfectly on the 1 3/4 inch circle punch (you'd think they planned it that way:)

The colours on this card are Bermuda Bay, Chocolate Chip and Creamy Caramel.

After the class, I did think it would be fun to have the circle at the top pull out with a secret greeting or image or gift card....next time!  Have a great day!!!

Inspire....

What a great word!  Isn't that what the blogging world is all about?  Inspiring one another and sharing what we love?  I loved that this was part of the tag line from the Stampin' Up! Convention.  I hope that once in a while you can stop by my blog and get some inspiration from a colour combination, layout or even an entire creation!

This little journal is actually something Emma and I put together for Convention for a few friends to document their inspiration and ideas.  The colours are Melon Mambo, Basic Black and Pretty in Pink.  The little journals were picked up in a dollar bin at a big box store (as were the matching clips)  We then covered them in Kraft, used the Big Shot to die cut the flowers from felt and then added the Stampin' Up! billboard title, a little DSP and ribbon.  Hope you have a great day!

Be honest...

Now, I have to ask before I swarm you with tons of My Digital Studio.  Is this something you'd like to see on my blog?  I'd love to know....if yes, how often and if no, my feelings aren't hurt!!!  I am so excited to say that I designed my scrapbooking club using the Christmas Jingle kit on the My Digital Studio first, then made the class and am SO happy!  I will share with you another day!  So, even if digital isn't your thing, maybe a layout or colour combination would make you happy!  Anyhow, I'd love to know your thoughts!

This is a page I did on Sunday.  I created the layout and template for this page from scratch and it took me about 20 minutes.  The greatest thing to this program is I can continually switch up the colours with a push of a button.  I wanted the page originally to be Basic Gray but as I got working, I realized I needed a brighter colour, and voila, this page was born!

This is Mark in the local parade from this past weekend with a few of his little friends.  They had so much fun throwing out the candy and walking the streets (his words!)  The colours are Pumpkin Pie, Tempting Turquoise adn Kiwi Kiss.  Don't you just love the way the buttons and brads cast a shadow on the page adn look so real?  The other thing I love....instant titles!  This is where I lack in normal scrapbooking...titles and journaling sometimes get left behind.  Anyhow, hope you have a great day!

Peek-a-boo Someone New!

Happy Tuesday to you!  Hope your week is off to a great start!  This is one of the cards I made in my Build-a-Roo class last week.  It was a little tedious BUT so much fun!  I think once you've made one a million wouldn't be so bad....well....maybe!!!  Anyhow, when you see the card, it looks like the first picture.  And then when you pull up on the popsicle stick, you see the second photo....how fun is that!?!?!?  I was really pleased with this card and little trick!!!

I will do my best to make up a tutorial or video on this, but it won't be for a few weeks.  Life is a little nutty around here right now between classes, Simply Punches Holidays, back to school and figuring out our new routines:)  I love chaos and being busy, but it sure is an adjustment from the summer!!!!

The colours on this card are Bashful Blue, Chocolate Chip and Creamy Caramel.  The kangaroo was stamped in Chocolate Chip and then cut out.  The squiggles were just done freehanded around the kangaroo and the greeting is from Teeny Tiny Wishes.  The ribbon is the Bashful Blue taffeta ribbon.  You can also kindof see the texture plate is done on the bottom portion of this card.

I'm in LOVE with MDS!

I love My Digital Studio!!!  How sweet is this????  This page took me about 15 minutes and I LOVE it!  This is one of my favourite pictures I've taken.  It was a while ago (Nathan was about a year old) and we were just hanging out in the kitchen.  I started going nutty with the camera and ended up with this. 

So, I wanted to do a page with only this photo on it.  I decided to design the page in My Digital Studio and now later this week I am going to make it with paper and stamps!  Isn't that a fun function of this program....design it and then make it!!!  Can't wait!  Once I get the paper copy done, I'll share that with you.

The colour is Kraft, with a muted (or stamped off Soft Suede) and some Basic Black (also stamped off).  The stamp set is from Friends 24-7 and then the larger one I'll be able to stencil!!!  I can't wait!!!  Hope you have a great day!

Build-a-Roo

This stamp set is so sweet!!!  It has taken me a while to warm up to it and use it but boy do I like it!!!  Over the next week you'll see a variety of ways you can use the set....markers, watercolouring, paper piecing...endless options!!!

I saw a very similar layout to this on Splitcoast that I just had to case.  I loved the look of the square card with this set and the little build-a-brad in the circles. 

The colours on this card are Pale Plum, Rich Razzleberry, Basic Gray and Basic Black.  The kangaroo layer is on Confetti White cardstock. 

I stamped the kangaroo on the Pale Plum, cut her out and then using the Pale Plum marker just tried to add a few shadows to add depth to the solid colour.  The heart in the build-a-brad is from this stamp set as well.  Hope you like it!  Have a wonderful Sunday!

It's all about the Packaging!

My great friend Sonia is QUEEN of the packaging!  She always has her treats and treasures wrapped, packaged and contained in the sweetest, and sometimes even simplest ways that just WOW me!  I struggle with this and continue to learn from Sonia (ALL THE TIME!)  Thanks Sonia! 

Check out this super sweet and so easy creation!!!  Isn't it ADORABLE!!!  It is simply a cute glass jar, ribbon wrapped around it, the sweet tag made with Batty for you around it and a punched creation on the lid!  I LOVE IT!  The colours she used match perfectly with the adorable gift inside!

It is the sweetest little onsie EVER!!!!  This is our first little outfit for our munchkin....and how appropriate!!!  Here's hoping for a Halloween (or earlier delivery:)  The BOO is written across the bum, just had to share that and the cute little critters all over the jammies!!!  Thanks again Sonia!  Hope all of you enjoy your Saturday and I'll be back tomorrow!

My Digital Studio!!!!! WOWSERS!!!

OK, I know what so many of you are thinking...you're a paper, hands on kindof a gal!  Well, I am BUT this is AMAZING!!!  I am so excited about the potential and fun this software has in store and can't wait to share it with you!!!!

I did my new banner using the digital software (took me about 30 minutes and this was the VERY FIRST thing I even tried....without of course any reading up on it or research....no time for that....this was just playing around!!!)  I also did all the little clickie buttons on the side of my blog using the software (again SUPER fast!!!)

So, tonight (rather than finishing cutting for my open house on Friday) I gave myself 10 minutes to do a page for Emma's first day of school.  And seriously, in 7 minutes this is what I ended up with!!!!  This will NOT substitute my normal scrapbooking but I can't wait for all the possibilities this program is going to offer......let me know your thoughts!!!!  Have a great day!

Last of the Halloween Pages for my wall

I thought I'd share with you the last of the series of three scrapbook pages you'll see in my frames for the upcoming season.  I love this page!  All the details are hard to see, but IRL (I just learned that means In Real Life...I am so not a computer junkie!) I LOVE this page!!!

There are the Halloween Rub Ons (the greeting, the swirls coming out from the greetings and the crows).  Then I stamped the From the Crypt image in Basic Black on the DSP above and below the photos.  The edges are all distressed and sponged with black.  There is paper piercing and distressing on the right border as well!  And of course the paper is Cast-a-Spell and the colours are Perfect Plum, Basic Black and Old Olive!

Well....we did it and thanks Becky!

The first day is officially done!  I can't believe it!  It was certainly a day of mixed emotions for all of us I think.  We had a wonderful summer and were sad to see it go, but in the same breath, a new school year, a new adventure is always exciting!  I think overall Emma and Mark (and Adam) enjoyed their first day back.  BUT, poor Nathan was devasted!  He CRIED and CRIED when he found out he wasn't going to school.  Now it probably didn't help that Emma packed him a backpack (which he carried around ALL day), including a snack, and then that I just thought it was too cute and had to take pictures of him just like Emma and Mark.  So we probably convinced him he too was going.  When we left the school after drop off he wasn't too happy!  But we spent some of the day doing Nathan things like watching a "digger and dump truck" work for half an hour down the street and make cookies.  I think tomorrow (Wednesday...when you're reading this) will be a better day!

In the meantime I've been wanting to share this super sweet gift my friend Becky made for me.  We tried far too may times to get together over the past few months and life just passes by sometimes.  So, on a very last minute whim we got together for an hour last week and she so kindly gave me this sweet gift box (full of CHOCOLATES) and the rockin' card (I had to order both sets after she gave this to me!!!)  Aren't these projects fantastic!!!  Thank you Becky, I really appreciate them and the time and effort you put into them!!!!

Shimmer Paint Tutorial Number 2 (with Video)

I am so loving this Shimmer Paint!  Now I know what you're thinking...is this only for Christmas????  No it's not, but that's what I've been showing it on right now.  You'll see over the next few weeks how often it can be used and in so many different ways!!!  Today's shimmer paint is the Champagne colour.  I thought it would be best suited with the Kraft cardstock. 

This card is very similar to yesterday's Delightful Decorations card, but I couldn't resist:)  I love the little ornaments and having the matching punch is BEYOND sweet so it's quick, easy and elegant!!!

The shimmer paint is actually applied using the embossing folder to make this card.  Check out the video down below for all the details on that.

• Brocade  Blue Cardstock - 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 scored at 4 1/4, 4 x 2 7/8, 5/8 x 4(banner)

Shadow Stamping

Happy Sunday to you!  I hope you are enjoying your long weekend, the weather sure is cooperating around here:)  We had a fabulous bike ride yesterday with the kids (about 30 km and 2 hours!)  They were real troopers!  On Friday we asked them what they wanted to do before the summer ended and they both said, "ride bikes, swim and video games (for Mark) and shop (for Emma)".  So, two of the three are done!!!  Today is a whole new day though!  Anyhow, why you're here...the card and maybe the video!

I thought I'd share with you a really quick and easy technique that adds a great deal of detail and depth to a card that is so simple to complete.  It's called shadowing.  It simply means you use a bold stamp (one that doesn't require colouring) and you stamp it twice.  The first is full intensity and the second is either stamped off or in a lighter shade and stamped just slightly off the original image.  This creates the shadow.  Using a Stamp-a-ma-jig makes this process a whole lot easier as well!  Check out my video for a quick and easy reminder of how to use this wonderful tool and also for this technique.

Card Recipe:

• Card Base - 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 (Kraft or Pale Plum)

• 1st Layer - 5 1/4 x 4 (Soft Suede or Rich Razzleberry)

• 2nd Layer - 5 x 3 3/4 (Kraft or Pale Plum)

• Inks - Soft Suede and Versamark OR Pale Plum and Rich Razzleberry with a touch of the White Shimmer paint!

• Paper Piercer and Mat Pack

• Dotted In Colour Ribbon (Soft Suede or Rich Razzleberry - 6 inches)

Halloween Frame and Video

Happy Saturday to you!  Hope your LONG weekend is off to a great start!  Not too much going on around here, just enjoying our last few days together!  Can't believe we start school on Tuesday!  (UGH....lunches:) 

I LOVE the Stampin' Up! vinyl.  Not only is it EASY to use and looks great, but it matches the stamps which just is the icing on the cake!  The only let down to vinyl is how quickly you're finished a project!  It's one of those moments sometimes you want to take a while and you're done in seconds thinking, hmmmmm, did I just do something?  Anyhow, that's really not a complaint just an observation. 

This frame uses the Cast-a-spell DSP, the Halloween rub ons and the Spooky Brocade Small vinyl (in black).  A few dimensionals, a few brads and you have yourself a finished 8 x 10 project to put in any frame you have!

I actually cut the bat out of the vinyl and adhered it to Perfect Plum cardstock.  Then I cut around it and mounted it on Old Olive Cardstock.  Then this is put in the middle of the vinyl using Dimensionals.  So, like rub ons, you can use bits and pieces of the vinyl in different ways!  The greeting is a rub on and is done on Old Olive cardstock, punched with the Wide Oval, sponged and popped up.  The swirls coming out the sides are rub ons.

I distressed the edges of the Basic Black cardstock and the green DSP with my fingernails (although the distressing tool would have worked great!)  Then I used three little brads from the SU Vintage brad package.  Hope you like the creation!  Have a great day and enjoy the video:

Love the Fancy Favour Box!!!

Happy Friday to you!  It's been a busy day and I do appologize for the late post...but better late than never:)  I'll have my video ready for you for tomorrow!  The day just got away from me between doctor's appointments, carpet shopping and waterfall scrapbooks!

If you ordered a waterfall scrapbook from me BEFORE the first deadline, they were finished today and taken to the post office.  However, with the long weekend the lady said they may not get out until Tuesday.  BUT know they are in the mail and ready for you!  If you were in the second round of ordering, I'll be working on the books this weekend and will let you know when they will be shipped (I'm aiming for Tuesday).

This is the very FUN Fancy favour box from Stampin' Up!  Isn't it pretty!!!  I love that you have the option of making it a gusset box (the sides fold in) or you can leave it like this.  One of the great features is that it holds a 3x3 card and envelope!  (you'd think they planned it that way!)  The stamp set on this creation is Serene Snowflakes (From the mini catalogue) with some 2 way glue and dazzling diamonds.  Hope you like the box and I'll see you again tomorrow for a video, vinyl, and Halloween fun!  Have a great night!

Another Halloween Page

This is a second page that will go up in my craft room (starting September 8th:)  I've decided I will put out one new item a day to prepare for Halloween.  Now, for example, there will be three pages on the wall for Halloween, so I'll do all three in one day and then nothing for two days....crazy eh???  I know, I know, I'm over the top....kidding!!!  I thought this would make for a happy compromise!!!!  I'll keep you posted on what's going up:)

This page will be in the middle as it doesn't have any Perfect Plum on it (the other two do, and also have the Olive)  Anyhow, this is my sweet little Nathan almost a year ago!!!  Where has the time gone?  He was the horse on our ranch!  This makes me want to move south, buy some kickin' cowgirl boots and ride off into the sunset (does that really happen, because it sure sounds lovely!)

The DSP is the Cast-a-Spell, which is inspiring the colour choices for my Halloween decor this year.  The rub ons are the Halloween ones in the catalogue.  You know what's great about them?  They have multiples of all of the rub ons so you can use the same image on lots of things....LOVE this!  AND I can demonstrate them at a class with YOU and we can all use the same rub on!!!

I want to start off my post tonight by thanking all the wonderful ladies (Glenna, Robin, Janice, Deb, Cynthia, Krista, Linda, Vicki, Teresa, BJ, Monica, Jill, Anne and Bird) that came to my Christmas in August class last night!  I had a blast and I hope you did too!!!  I love the enthusiasm and spirit in the air, thanks!

So in light of the festive evening we had I thought I'd share with you a quick and easy Christmas card I made last week.  The colours are Bermuda Bay, Basic Black and Shimmer White Cardstock.  This is not a very traditional colour combination but fun nonetheless!  It is hard to see in this photo, but the greeting and the snowflakes are stamped on the Shimmer White Cardstock in Bermuda Bay ink.  In the right light this paper is just fabulous (I suppose in the wrong light it is too:)

I appologize for being a day late in posting this, but you guys CRACK me up!  I LOVED reading ALL the posts about WHEN Halloween should start in my house!  I can't say there was a definate winner on this one!!!!  Some of you say after Labour Day, others as late as after Thanksgiving (remember here in Canada we have an earlier Thanksgiving!)  The winner from my blog post is:

There is nothing wrong with decorating in Sept. for Halloween. I put my stuff out right after Labor Day and then the kids can enjoy it longer. Then on Nov. 1 or sometimes after the Trick or Treaters are gone I pull out the Christmas Tree and get them all set up and start decorating for Christmas on Nov. 1. Since you are due I would say this year get your stuff out and done early just in case this one decides to come early!

Well, I've decided to just start slowly but WATCH out cause once these munckins are back to school and I'm on top of my classes, my wheels are a turning!!!!  In the meantime, I thought I'd share with you one of the scrapbook pages that will be going in my stamp room for the Halloween season.
