Stamp with Heather

If the Halo Fits...

I just love this stamp set.  She is so sweet and simple.  I made this card for a friend that I'm sure is sick of hearing about how "sick" our house is.  I have felt like I've been complaining a lot lately which isn't my style but boy I wish the bug was gone!!!  Anyhow, she's been super sweet and kind so I thought of her when making this card. 

I actually embossed the angel on Shimmery White Cardstock using Black Embossing Powder and Versamark.  She is coloured in using my aqua painter with Barely Banana, Blush Blossom, Bashful Blue, Pretty n Pink and Almost Amethyst.  The sky is also coloured around her using the aqua painter.  You can see the blue is more predominant around her body.

The pink paper is from Berry Bliss and the blue paper is from Tart and Tangy. The card is mounted on Kraft paper.  Gosh I've been using Kraft an awful lot lately, I really like the neutral colour though and it looks great when sponged around the edges.   The ribbon is our Blue Taffeta Ribbon. 

The angel is mounted on a Barely Banana piece of cardstock and then on Bashful Blue.  I popped up the image so you don't see the buldge of the ribbon underneath.  Hope you like it!

Splitcoast Challenge

I always have such good intentions to try the challenges at Splitcoaststampers.  If you haven't tried them or even looked at them before they are rather neat.  Scroll down on the main page and on the right tool bar you'll see the days of the week and then the type of challenge.  Tuesdays challenge is a colour combination.  This week the challenge was to use River Rock, Basic Black and Whisper White.  So, that's what I've done!

Recipe:

Stamps: Embrace Life, Sanded

Colours: River Rock, Basic Black, Whisper White (ok, a tad of guava to highlight the flowers)

Other: dew drops, oval punch, tag punch, ticket corner punch, Ginger Blossom DP

It's tough to see in the picture but the card is actually black.  I stamped this branch first on the white cardstock and then on a scrap.  I coloured in the scrap paper flowers with River Rock and Groovy Guava with a blender pen.  Then I cut them out and popped them up using dimensionals.  The flowers also have some Crystal Effects on them.  I'm happy with the effect, although it's tough to see in the picture!  Have a great day and if you have  a few minutes to spare head on over to Splitcoast and try out a challenge....if nothing else it gives you a great starting place!  Hope your house is happy and healthy....we're still working on the latter!

Make and Take Scrapbook Page

This is a page I did at a workshop the other night at Tania's house.  I don't normally do scrapbook pages for everyone but I thought this one is quick and easy and something we could make.  I still have to include my journaling and a smaller strip of the blue above the pictures but overall I'm thrilled with this page.  This is Emma on her second Halloween (she is 17 months here).  She was SO miserable in this costume but boy she looked cute!

Shaker Birthday

Mark has a birthday party to go to today.  Unfortunately I didn't get Mark to help with this card but he did pick out the stamp set, colours and said it "just HAD to be a shaker card".  I thought this was cute so therefore, it's a shaker!

I did this card using a square coaster.  Then I cut the circle out of the coaster, traced the outline of the coaster on the DSP and then cut it out.  I mounted a sheet of acetate on the top of the coaster, then put the scrapbook paper on top of this.  I sponged the edges in Taken with Teal so the white of the coaster didn't show through too much.  Then I stamped the image on watercolour paper and coloured it in using markers and an aqua painter.

To put the beads in I flip the coaster over so the "bad" side is up, sprinkle about 1/4 of a teaspoon of beads in the cavity and then with the adhesive already on the background (spaceship) I place this on top to seal in the beads.  The stars are done using the two different sized SU punches.  I paper pierced the bottom of the card using one of the Classy Brass templates and then coloured in the holes using a white gel pen.

Photo Cards

My friend Sonia let me borrow a magazine she had about using photos in other projects beyond scrapbooking.  So on my theme last weekend of reduce, reuse, recycle, I thought I could also start recycling some of my doubles on my cards.  This is the first card I came up with.  Nathan is only 3 months old in this picture (and he's going to be one next month WHAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!)  Sorry...back to the card!

Anyhow, I just took the photo, cut it to 3 3/4 by 5 inches, mounted it on Not Quite Navy and then on a Kraft cardstock base.  The edges were all dragged in the white craft ink to soften them up.  I stamped the greeting in Versamark adn then embossed it using the Soft Blue Embossing Powder SU used to sell. 

The party hat is a bigger version from the one in A Little Birdie Told Me.  I thought the one in that set was a bit too small so I drew this one and am happy with the size and effect.

Cyndi's Scrapbook Layout Challenge #5

I am SO sorry!  I'm late on this challenge.  I think Nathan is FINALLY getting better and being a little happier.  The past few days have been LONG, poor little guy.  It's been nice getting to snuggle but not fun because he isn't doing well.

Anyhow, enough about us, here's the challenge.  I promise my pages, I started working on the page and ended up changing things up a bit but I did start with this sketch in mind!!!

It's tough to see in a photograph but the textured cardstock for this page is very YUMMY.  I'm amazed how much it adds to a page.  I am really getting into our Simply Scrappin Kits!  They are a fantastic way to scrapbook and offer lots of versatility and are also a time saver.  If you haven't used one before it's worth checking out in the back of the catalogue as they are fantastic!

This page took me some time but I'm happy with the final layout.  The pictures are from 21 years ago!!!  That's my family and I.  Lots has changed since then but love is still there!!!  It's funny what can bring a smile to your face, but seeing the picture of "the yellow rabbit" (my dad's car) just makes me smile.  We had so many great family adventures in this!  Have a great day and try out the sketch!!!

Scrappers 6

This is a layout that Cyndi gave in her weekly scrapbook challenge a few weeks back.  I did the page of Nathan's first time eating.  Well, I used the same basic layout for this design but rotated the second page.  It's amazing how different two pages can look when you swap up the colours and make a few minor changes.

Here's my stampers 6 cards for this month.  Again, my theme for this group is 4 cards with the same layout using different stamp sets and for different purposes.

The little birdies are paper pieced on this card as well.  I stamped them on other DSP, cut them out then glued them onto this card.  I only cut out the bodies as the birds are also stamped on the vanilla paper.

I really like this stamp set.  It's great for a general birthday card.  To get the smaller presents, I simply stamped them out on scrap paper and cut them out.  However, I cut the little presents in half.  The turquoise present is also popped out.

It's almost the weekend...hang in there!!!

Apple Picking

Adam loves to go apple picking.  We tend to go almost weekly for a good six weeks in the Fall.  I don't mind it but I'd have to say it is certainly "his" thing.  The kids love to go as well!  They love to get the highest apples possible and to feed the cows in the neighbouring field.  This is one of the double page layouts we did with my Scrappers 6 group this month:

This double page layout uses the YUMMY paper that matches the stamp set Tart and Tangy!  Isn't it fun???

Party In a Bag Class....Teaser!

This is my usual tease for my Tart and Tangy "Party in a Bag" class I have on Monday, March 24th from 7 - 9.

We will be making 6 projects using a super cute new stamp set called Tart and Tangy!  It screams Summer Fun!!!!  We will be doing a scratch and sniff item, a few packages, and lots of other FUN stuff!  It will all match and could easily be made for a summer party or just some bright, fun samples!  Click here to see some samples made with this card (these are not the ones we will be making but I want you to see the set!)  I have four spots left for this class if you are interested.  Kits are also available to Canadian residents and class instructions are for sale for other demonstrators.  Hope your week is off to a great start!

Travel Kit

I am starting to get quite excited...as is Emma!  We are heading to Bermuda at the end of March thanks to Stampin' Up!  Unfortunately Adam isn't able to get the time off, but I think Emma and I will have a blast!  I am starting to get things ready ahead of time so they actually get done!  This is for Emma for in her travel bag.

I used the tin from my Flower Fusion as the holder for these activities.  It's a perfect fit!  The theme of this package is reduce, reuse, recycle.  So, I've recycled the tin so far!  The cover of the tin is fairly small so I used scraps to cover it.

The paper is Prep School(don't you LOVE the colours together...Real Red, Tempting Turquoise, Wild Wasabi and More Mustard!) and then I used my Cricut to cut out the stars in More Mustard and Real Red (using the George cartridge) and then the Mickey Font cartridge is the letters.  For this I used the backside of one of the papers in the Prep School package of DSP.

The inside lid of this tin is the Tic Tac Toe board.  I just made the board with scraps of DSP.  The Tic Tac Toe pieces are made out of Build a Brads.  I simply cut the back of the brads off, and then attached magnets using Crystal Effects.  I like to use the Earth Magnets as they are SUPER strong and we won't be losing any of these on the plane ride!

To use the Build A Brad I simply cut out circles from the Prep School Paper using the 1/2 circle, place Crystal Effects on the flat upper side of the brad and attach the paper.  Then this brad kit comes with the cute little clear toppers.  I made 5 of each colour so it doesn't matter which colour goes first.

This is my favourite part....stuck on what to do with old photos you've already scrapbooked?  Not sure what to do with a deck of cards that only has 50?  Well, make your own version of FISH!!!!  I simply glued the pictures of people on the "number" side of the cards.  A match is finding the same person, not the same picture.  So the bottom shows an Emma match (a recent picture and one from about 4 years ago!!!)  I did this for all family members and tried to get a recent and a not so recent photo of them!  I am thrilled with how this turned out and think Emma will like this game!

Naughty or Nice???

I made this page a few weeks back as I was trying to finish scrapping Christmas 2007.  This page is our story of what happens Christmas Eve when we get home from church.  I want to journal but am waiting for my rubon numbers to arrive and then I'll number the pictures and journal in the bottom left corner.  The first photo is Santa's grub, then the reindeers', then Emma and Mark switch their presents to one another, then we hang our stockings and off to bed we go!

I love the way this Santa paper pieces so nicely.  Feel free to click on the picture to blow it up a bit.  The naughty or nice stamp fit perfectly under the ho ho ho as well.

Workshop

Here is a little tease of what's happening at my workshops this month.  Actually, as many of you know I don't often do workshops (maybe three a year).  BUT, I am changing that right now as my little munchkins are getting bigger so it is a bit easier to get out of the house and "work" (or as Adam says "play") 

I thought I'd answer some of the common questions that have been emailed to me lately about my workshops.  I demonstrate one project to show the "ins and outs of stamping" and then I demonstrate two projects that each of the guests will get to make.  Typically I do one card and one package, although if a hostess prefers scrapbooking or two cards this is definately an option.  There is no fee for any of the participants.  A workshop (depending on numbers) typically takes about 2 to 2.5 hours which includes placing orders.  I currently take cheque and cash but soon will be doing MC and VISA.  The expectation of a hostess is to have guests show up (anywhere from about 5 to 20 works great!)  If you'd rather use my house as the venue that is certainly a welcome option.  As the hostess you receive a thank you gift from me as well as free hostess merchandise and leveled stamp sets depending on the qualifying order.  (If someone at your party purchases the starter kit, you will receive additional hostess benefits from me as the starter kit is not added to your sales.)  Orders take just over a week to come in, I bag them all up and deliver them to the hostess.   If you are interested in hosting a workshop, I have 2 dates available in March and a few in April!

Cyndi's Scrapbook Layout Challenge #4

Here is this week's sketch for the scrapbook challenge.  It is fairly open ended and flexible.  I thought last week rather than using a punch or stamp for the "embellished" parts on my page I wanted to use rub ons....DELISH!!!!  I used the ones you get free with Sale-a-bration this month on my Easter page and just love how it spruces up DSP and adds a little extra to a photo or journaling!

I am excited about these weekly challenges as I'm not "letting" myself print off new pictures, rather go through the millions I have in boxes...ready to be scrapbooked!  These are from 2002 of Emma and Mark for an Easter card I was making.  Please tell me I'm not alone in making my children do really cute, yet dorky (Adam's words) things for photos!

Marker's Valentine

For Mark's Valentine I decided to go a bit less traditional.  Rather than hearts or red, I decided to use his "most favourite" stamp set "EVER" and also do a shaker card.  He LOVES shaker cards!  So Fishy Friends got pulled out of the drawer (have to say it's been a while!)  I used a round coaster to create this shaker card.  I left the outside as it was and then cut a circle that is 3.5 inches in diameter out of the middle of the coaster.  I used a coaster as this adds the needed depth for a shaker card. 

After cutting out the middle of the coaster, I attached the scrapbook paper on with temporary adhesive and cut around the edges.  Then I sanded the edges and the top of the paper to "roughen" it up a bit.  Then I took the DSP off, and attached the acetate sheet to the chipboard, then reapplied the DSP with permanent adhesive.

I stamped the fish on the watercolour paper with Staz On ink and coloured him in using Blue Bayou and Pumpkin Pie reinkers and an aqua painter.  It's hard to see in this picture but the background is also watercoloured using Soft Sky.  I then attached the "bubbles" or dew drops, three of them inside the frame and the other two on the outside.  I cut the fish image into a circle slightly smaller than the chipboard frame and attached it to a piece of Soft Sky paper. 

To create the shaker part, I apply my adhesive WELL to the outside frame then carefully pour the beads into the frame.  The I carefully place the image on the frame (image side down), seal the edges and VOILA your shaker is made! 

I wish there were a stamp that reads "Hugs and Fishes" but I don't have one so I had to handwrite the message.  I like the effect of the dew drops in orange holding on the oval tags.  Can you also see the super YUMMY ribbon behind the ovals????  Isn't it great!!!

Simply Scrappin Challenge!

Alright, who's up for a challenge?  My friend Barb Dean and I got together last week for a "play" date!  No kids!!!  FUN!!!  (OK, she had her two but you never would have known!)  Our challenge was to see what we could each make with a Simply Scrappin Kit!  Can you say YUMILISH!!!  (totally made up that word!)  I got three pages done, which are posted below, a bunch of cards which I'll show another day, a chipboard scrapbook and still have LOTS left!!!  We are putting together a kit idea to go with these Simply Scrappin' Kits so stay tuned!   I think we should have a little challenge.....hmmm.....the wheels are turning and Barb and I will chat(or email considering I still don't have my voice back yet!)

So my pages were made with the kit Summer Days.  It is so bright and fun and sure makes these chilly winter days feel warmer!  I LOVE the colours...Real Red, Wild Wasabi, Bashful Blue and Pumpkin Pie!!!  All the adhesives come in the kit and all the cardstock is TEXTURED!!!  LOVE IT!!!!

I am also so happy because I got a few pages done from the summer that have been looming in the "to do" pile for scrapbooking!"  This is Emma and her cousin Monica at our cottage last summer!  We are so lucky to have such great cousins that get along so well!  I hope they grow up to be life long friends!  OK, enough of that the pictures speak for themselves!

This next page uses some of the double sided designer series paper that comes in the kit.  Aren't the polka dots fun???  I love that the kits come with words you can easily use as a title....Lazy Days of Summer!  This page is of Emma and friends of ours, again at the cottage...can you tell where I love to spend my time in the nice weather!?!? 

   This last page is actually the original same layout as one that Barb did on her blog!  Check it out!  By changing the colours and the photos you certainly can get a different look, that's one great thing about scrapbooking....you don't always have to start from nothing!

Wondering where I've been?

You guys are far too sweet!!!  I want to thank those of you that emailed me to see how things were going (but really to see why I didn't post yesterday!!!)  I had a great Scrappers club last night and after all my lovely ladies left I CRASHED!  It was a busy weekend and I think I needed some sleep.  On top of that I have now completely lost my voice and boy is my throat hurting!  Anyhow, enough about me and my complaining....thanks for the sweet words!  We were invited to my mom's today for dinner for her "last day of being 59" so in honour of this celebration I made this card:

I am so sad that this set retired, although I own it but I'm sure a bunch of you still want it!  One of the reasons my kids adore my mom is because she makes them sundaes everytime they go for a visit.  So I thought this stamp was a good match!

The word "happy" is embossed in Dark Brown and what I did was first I embossed it on the pink DSP (so underneath my layer) and then I embossed it on the image.  Then I cut my coloured layer to the right size so when I attached the image to the card the tail of the "h" and "y" would line up and look like it going off the card.  The word "days" is also embossed on the pink oval.

The ice cream is stamped in Staz On on the watercolour paper and then coloured in using SU markers and an aqua painter.  I coloured the chocolate sauce in with Chocolate Chip and the cherry with Real Red.  Then I put Crystal Effects on both of these elements to look shiny.   When the Crystal Effects was still wet I placed beads on the chocolate sauce to look like sprinkles.  If I were to do this again though, I would place them on so you don't see the holes.

To attach the frame, I used a brad on the one side and then the ribbon wrapped around the DSP layer on the other!

The Rest of the Party

As I said on my post yesterday, we had a party for my mom and Emma wanted to do it as a Rock Star Princess theme.  Emma thought everyone deserves a Princess party sometime in their life and since Gramma is so old there probably weren't Princess parties when she was a kid! (sorry mom!!!)  Here's what we made using the Perfect Princess stamp set:

This is Gramma's crown she had to wear for the night.  I simply attached a piece of cardstock to the back of the paper and slipped it through the top part of the little snap barette.  I didn't reinforce it with anything but it worked out to be fine as it's small enough it didn't want to flop over.

This is my mom!  Isn't she great?!?  This was a surprise party but she still so thoughtfully wore a blue shirt to match all the decore!  Thanks mom!

These are the place cards we made for the dinner table.  The girls all got embellished crowns and the boys the stars...hence the theme Rock Star Princess!!!  I used the ABC lower alphabet to stamp the names.

This is the grab bag we gave out...it's full of all my mom's favourite things past and present...chocolate covered almonds, All Bran, Diet Coke, a CD with her favourite songs (remember Pop Goes the World by Men Without Hats?), Herbie movie and Smarties.  The header photo is on with Dotto so it's not permanent.  I blew up a favourite picture of my mom from Christmas and the crown fit on so nicely!

Last but not least, the cake!  What's a party without birthday cake?  I baked a slab cake and then cut out the same shape as the crown from Perfect Princess.  It's simply iced and then decorated with those silver icing balls.  So whether you've got a princess that's 4 or 40 or 80 this set makes for a great party!!!  Thanks for stopping by today!

Surprise

This is a quick post as I am heading off to bed but I wanted to share with you my mom's birthday card.  She turns 60 this week so I had a surprise party for her tonight with my brothers!  What FUN!!!  It turned out to be a great night with lots of laughs, food and fun!  Emma decided we needed to have a Princess theme party for her.  I'll share all the "stuff" with you tomorrow on how we tied it all together but for now I'll share the card.  I created it using Beate's sketch (click here) for this weekend!  Hope you like it!

We had a blue princess theme party because ever since Emma was about 18 months she has called my mom, Gramma Blue Beetle, because she drives a blue beetle!  Hope you like it, I'll post the rest of the party stuff tomorrow!

Cyndi's Scrapbook Layout

First I would like to start my post by thanking all the wonderful ladies that attended my class last night!  I hope you had fun!  I sure did!  The one thing I just LOVE about stamping is the energy and enthusiasm that exists in a room while crafting and it continues to linger even after everyone is gone....thank you for that!

Remember, this is not carved in stone, this is simply meant to be a starting place for your creativity to run wild!  Initially I was stuck on this page but then I went in my craft room and on the floor (don't ask) was Alicia's stamp set Tart and Tangy and the matching scrapbook paper.  I couldn't resist!  I had to make a page with this paper (it is SO cute!)  BUT because it was Alicia's paper I had to make her a page too!!!  So, Alicia there's one coming your way!

Stamps: Outline Alphabet, Tart and Tangy

Colours: Wild Wasabi, Real Red, Bashful Blue

Other: scallop punch, 1 3/8 circle punch, real red marker, old olive marker, Tart and Tangy DSP coming in the spring mini

I thought the title was kindof cute for this page, although I wish there was a ? in this alphabet.  I was going to share one little trick with you.  When I cut out my letters, I simply cut through the letter to get to the middle.  This breaks the letter but when you glue the title on the page, you don't notice the slice line, especially when stamping on DSP.  To get a better view of this you can click on the picture and it will enlarge for you.  Have a happy Friday!

Dew Drops

I have a few minutes here before my Good Egg class starts so I thought I'd post a card I did the other day.  My friend Anne so kindly brought me over a bag of treats and inside were some SUPER CUTE dew drops.  They are little rubbery sortof blobs....how's that for a description???  They have a flat back and a rounded top and you can put them on with adhesive onto paper projects.  As soon as I saw the bottle of blue I KNEW what I had to do:

Recipe:

Colours: Blue Bayou, Soft Sky, True Thyme

Stamps: Bubble Queen

Other: Clear Embossing Powder on the True Thyme cardstock (I wanted it to look wet), Dew Drops, watercolour paper and ink pads, 2 circle punches to layer the "You're Fabulous"

I LOVE this colour combination!  True Thyme was for sure my favourite colour from last year's In Colours.  I bought lots of extra so I'd have some for moments like this.  Always Artichoke is also a nice substitute.

The tub is coloured in River Rock, the bubbles in Soft Sky, the towel in True Thyme, the floor in Going Gray and the background in Soft Sky.

Hello Ladies!  Hope you're having a great day!  It's winter sunny today (do you know what I mean by this, it's bright with the crisp clean snow around but the sky is still grayish???)  I am posting my classes that I am hosting from now until the end of March.  Kits are available for all of these classes and shipping is free within Canada. Journal Making Class

Special Instructions: for this class you will pick scrapbook paper of your choice.  All the scrapbook paper is yours when you leave the class.

We will be making this journal from scratch and you'll have the opportunity to use my Bind-it-all to complete the book.  We will also decorate the chipboard and you will have ribbon to match your selections.

Time: 9:30 - 11:30 am

One Look, One Set, One Technique

At Alicia's quarterly meeting last week I got to demonstrate watercolouring to our fellow local demonstrators!  This was a lot of fun!  I love going to these meetings and seeing my fellow demo friends you really don't get to see often enough!  I love to demo for others and share what I have learned, the only downside is I don't get to see the great talent being shared by others!  When I demonstrated watercolouring, I also showed that this could easily be a class of making the same layout of cards using a variety of paper from a DSP package to create a gift of cards for someone.  Here are the cards that I made:

It's tough to see in these pictures but what I really liked about this card is the edges of the Kraft paper are rubbed in coloured craft ink.  So the green hippo and the green bird cards are edged in Celery craft ink, the hippo in white and the whale in Bashful Blue.

I will try not to post any more cards with this set for at least a week!!!  Just think if you're doing my class though you've got approximately a bizzillion samples to copy!!!

A Good Egg Class

I know this is a tease but I just have to show a little of what we are doing on our class this Thursday night!  I am SO excited!!!  I LOVE the cards (one I cased the idea from my ooberliciously talented downline Martha) and the other is a Heather original!  We are also making three little treat containers as well, and who knows what else I may come up with before Thursday night!!!

I appreciate all of the comments on my classes and the questions about my Pun Fun class!  I have been thinking about this for a while and think I have come up with a solution to all the wonderful requests I have had for my classes. 

I have an amazing downline and have decided to create a downline blog for my girls.  One of the 'things' I'll be including in my downline blog are the full pictures of all my class projects, full instructions, measurements, supply lists etc. so they are able to have  a perk for being in my downline.  I have sold my instructions and samples in the past and will also do this from time to time.  I also offer all my classes as kits where you would receive these photos and samples as well.  I'd love any feedback you have on this idea!  I'm not sure it's "the answer" but I thought I'd give it a try!  Have a wonderful day!!!

Marker's Valentines

First let me explain the title.  My son, who is 6, is really named Mark.  However, as a little one we always called him Markie (which is just so darn cute I want to cry that he doesn't "let" us call him that any more).  Anyhow, he hit school and his friends started calling him Marker...no idea why, but this is what he likes to go by.  He keeps "reminding" us that his real name is Marker and his nickname is Mark (because it's shorter!)  Anyhow, the long and the short of it is I promised him if I ever referred to him on my blog I'd call him by his 'real' name Marker.

OK, so where was I going on this post!?!?   These are the Valentine's Marker is making for his classmates.  He stamped the butterfly all over the cellophane bags using the White Stazon (WHY have I never done this....it's beautiful!)  We filled the bags with candy, tied them together with Grosgrain ribbon and he is just finishing off his tags that are circles mounted on scallops and we'll attach them to the bags with cording.  Super quick and easy which is perfect for Mark!  Emma on the other hand.....I'll share her's later!

Sale-a-bration Set

Welcome Berlynn!

Having Fun with Pun Fun!  I have 2 more spots available for this class on Thursday, February 28th if anyone is interested.  We will be making 8 cards which will all be different so you'll have 8 layouts to copy and make lots of cards with the super cute variety of stamps in the set. 

Anyhow, back to the card!  As I'm sure you've guessed I'm all about watercolouring right now.  I stamped the cute little hippo in Staz On, and coloured him in using my aqua painter and SU markers.

Cyndi's Weekend Scrapbook Sketch

I am having fun participating in Cyndi's weekend scrapbook sketches!  I only have one more double page to do and I'm actually done scrapping the 2007 Christmas!!!   I am very excited that I am having some of my friends "merge" their talents from stamping into scrapbooking as well.  I won't say 'convert' because many of you do both or are just beginning to dabble in the world of scrapping!  I find the easiest place to start scrapbooking is by using  a sketch.  I look at a sketch and think, OK, I need 5 pictures, one slightly bigger than the others and then go from there!  For those of you that think, "Hey, I might want to give this a try" I am offering this double page layout as a kit.  For $6 you will get EVERYTHING you need to make this page and all you need to do is get your photos and attach the layers according to the directions provided.  I will only make up 10 of these kits so if you are interested in this please email me at adamsum@yahoo.com to give it a try!

Alright, so here is Cyndi's sketch!  Click HERE to check out her super cute Easter pages with the stamp set A Good Egg (very sweet!).  So you can see on this layout you'd need about 5 pictures, 3 of some sort of embellishment and 3 of some other embellishment.  I created my page with 6 of the same embellishments and I used a different arrangement of photos (all of mine are vertical)  BUT that doens't matter!!!  The important thing is it's a great starting point and then you run from it where you see fit!

  I appologize my photo looks dark.  If you click the photo you will see it more clearly.  The colours on this page are Pomegranate, Celery, Old Olive and Black.
