OK, so I may be the only one laughing at my title, but when you're sleep deprived just about anything is funny, right? So, my next class is going to be all about Christmas Gift Giving.
In our two hour class we are going to make a lunch box tin, a CD tin and the cutest little bag ever!!! We are going to make it all using the Simply Scrappin Kit called Winter Bright and the best part is even after making these projects you have SO much stuff left in kit you'll be able to make LOTS of other projects like cards, scrapbook pages or more of these containers!!!
This lunch box container can be used for SO many different things. I am going to make a tag for mine later that says Chirstmas 2007 and inside the tin I'll keep any special memories from Christmas this year such as favourite photos, special cards, tags, recipes, the kids letters to Santa, the homemade ornaments my kids make me this year etc. Then each year I can pull the tin out as a quick overview of the memories we make this year. The tin could also be used as the "box" for a special gift. You could fill the tin with cards for someone special. You could also bake up some treats and include the recipe inside this tin....the possibilities are endless!!!
Again, there are a billion options with this tin as well. However, on the inside of this tin is a holder for a DVD or a CD (it can be removed if you prefer though). I am thinking I can put a summary of the photos of our past year onto a CD and give it to someone (I can't name names or they won't be surprised Christmas morning!) The other option is to burn family videos onto a DVD and share your memories this way. The tin could also be used to just hold some photos, or a gift card or whatever else you can imagine!
This is the other "container" we will be making at the class. It is a bag made out of one sheet of scrapbook paper. The little purse actually has two dividers in it and would look super cute with a little cellophane bag sticking out of the top. You could use one compartment for a card and the other for a gift card. I'm thinking the teacher Christmas gifts will have to go in a little purse like this maybe.....too cute!
Well, I hope you like the containers! Here are the class details:
When: October 10th
Time: 7 - 9
Where: the usual, my house!
Cost: $55 which includes all the tins, one simply scrappin kit and one roll of 5/8 red grosgrain ribbon
Limit: I am hoping to do this class with 10 people. Kits are available if you are unable to attend, however, I will not be shipping them as the cost of the awkward tin isn't worth it!
