Yippeeee!!! It's the beginning of the Christmas holidays! I am so excited...can you tell? No lunches, sleeping in (sometimes), spending time with my family and just relaxing(this is not listed in order:)
So today's project is one that I made for a gift this year. I am embarassed to say the entire process took me about 10 minutes to do. This stamp set is FANTASTIC. It reminds me of the set that hooked me on stamping...Terrific Tulips (love this set!) Two step stamping is so easy and quick and produces a beautiful image. This garden stamp set doesn't look like much in the catalogue but when you start stamping it, it makes a beautifully detailed flower. I used the Pale Plum and Rich Razzleberry inks to make the flowers. As you can see, I also stamped the matching flower image on the inside of the cards and on the envelopes. I didn't go too overboard with the embellishments as I didn't want the recipient to have to pay extra postage when mailing out these cards (you know the buttons and big knots on ribbon add to the cost of postage). The DSP paper is Cottage Wall and the cardstock accents are in Old Olive. The ribbon is the Rich Razzleberry polka dotted ribbon.
I hope you like the cards today and if you're stuck on a gift for someone special a card set is a wonderful gift to share!
Today's MDS page has got to be one of my favourite pages that I have made. I think the photos really make the page, but I'm happy with the layout, the colours and just the whole thing. I appreciate the feedback you have been giving about the stamping and scrapping on my blog. I'm glad that the traditional scrapbookers are finding ideas for layouts and designs and the MDS users are following along!
Hope you have a wonderful day and thanks so much for stopping by!
Take care,
Heather
